I’ve got idea what about you make a battle pack
Gordon doesn't need to hear all of this, he's a highly trained professional.
Gordon would have liked to hear all that, I imagine
Gordon would probably put the lego figure in his closet where his valuable stuff is

Chairs are supported most often by four legs and have a back; however, a chair can have three legs or can have a different shape. Thinking of other very iconic moments that could be unique sets - a monorail section with the tram car, Gordon, and a Houndeye/Bullsquid - Gordon on a small Xen island, fighting various Xen creatures, some kind of xen flora accents like light stalks or Xen fungi - The tram car in the beginning/end, attached to a separated rail. Can be interchanged between labcoat Gordon and HEV Gordon, with a Gman minifig and something to represent a portal - A crane attached to a platform, holding a divers cage with Gordon and the crossbow inside, an ichthyosaur model on the outside - a set depicting Gordon and the tentacle monster in Blast Pit, with a security guard minifig, maybe the control panel for the thruster - Gordon, with the tau cannon, in a hallway/room based on Questionable Ethics, and an alien grunt - An arena with Gordon holding the RPG and the Gonarch, includes baby headcrabs and Xen Trees
What about the Nil’anth boss fight?
hi man, i can make that )
What about a huge 'Surface Tension' Set with Gordon crossing the Dam, lots of HECU soldiers and an Apache to boot 😎

This is absolutely stupendous! I wish lego would consider series like this, it's not that much more serious or violent then Indiana Jones or other similar brand name sets. Wonderful job once again!
This is stupid, lol. Not stupendous.
@@ZOVRUSSIAZZ0ZZ0ZZin what way is this stupid
More like Lego needs big competition if this is to ever happen.
@@SoftPiet Mega Bloks/Construx are so close to being that, if they could just get their distribution sorted out.
the reason is most likely due to the military themes in the game, which lego has a history of not liking
Would love to see some Half-Life 2 sets! Set-pieces like Nova Prospekt, the first Combine Gunship fight, the inside of the Citadel, Ravenholm, and the final Strider and Hunter battle from Episode 2 could all be potentially amazing in LEGO set forms!
Also tiny sets of the buggy and the boat
Ooh and kleiners lab also black mesa east

He dropped the pony tail. Sellout.

Scientist to solider is a big change shown by a non-verbal character.
Speaking of which, the Gordon Freeman minifig makes me want to see the actual Gordon without that short haircut, but the long, poofy slicked cut the minifig has.
This is really interesting to see a Lego set that would normally never get made. I would like to see a series of all the blacklisted Lego idea sets
Hell yeah elm!
Gotta agree, I'd stick around to see that.
Yea, like portal 1 or maybe even half life 2.
@@lolchipperson11person12 there are portal lego sets
@@MLEONHAED There's the Portal 2 level pack for Dimensions, but I'm pretty sure there hasn't been a proper set.
I think it would be great if you released instructions, and even the custom models and prints so that people that has the time and tools for the prints and custom parts can build the set
10:03 Look Gordon, Bricks! We can use these to build big sets!
Honestly I’m very surprised they didn’t jump on the half life train, they would’ve made a lot of big bucks with that collab.
Lego stays away from violent theming
Funny thing is, by including Portal in Dimensions it means Half-Life is canon, as much as they try to say otherwise
@@romainthblt but i mean they did do a stranger things set sooo........
@@Mrincognitowastaken that's very true!
@@romainthbltLEGO are hypocrites because all the sets they made are based off violent movies...
I can understand *why* they don't want this theme made, but damn, seeing this made me wish for it even more. I'd do terrible things for that test chamber set, especially that Gman fig
that G-man head piece alone would have collectors rushing all around town
Because it's a gory violent game. Rated M. That's why. Tho I don't understand why Portal can't get some sets. A few lego ideas sets hit over 10k again. It's not going to end well, is it? Let's hope tho.
🔥🔥🔥
I think the main reason LEGO won’t do these sets is because it involves the US Military, and LEGO doesn’t do any LEGO sets based around real life military. Also because it is a violent game. Now, if you did sets based around Half Life 2, maybe things would be different, as its a more fictional sci-fi military and not actually the US government
@@antonanderson1965 i suddenly have the urge to play half life now, i didnt think their would be such a difference in militarys, what about half life alyx?

Wow, incredible job! The ‘We’ve got Hostiles’ vents look sooo good. Aw man I wish this was available in the mass market.
This almost feels like a subtle commentary on how much dedication lego SHOULD be putting into their minifig design decisions
When it comes to minifigures, some 3rd party designs are way better simply cuase it's based on something Lego would never make, military themed figures, shows deemed too mature, anime and comic book only appearances like the hell bat armor.
This concept rules. Would love to see versions of this for other iconic/underrepresented games
Thank you so much! Given the feedback, I probably will!
@@Mikopath Seconding this motion. Again, requesting a StarCraft set 😅
@@Mikopath cant wait!
Duke Nukem, Quake, Half-Life 2, Crash Bandicoot… ideas are endless.
@@Mikopath I feel like we need opposing force and blue shift sets now, dunno why.
these are great sets, the only thing i would change is in the Resonance Cascade set. The empty space used for the Valve tribute could be repurposed into the waiting room and blast doors that Gordon goes through to enter the test chamber. They are a very iconic part of the test chamber and especially so when they are blown up after the experiment goes awry, you can even see them in the screenshot you based the build off of. Of course they won't be in the correct spot, but neither is the observation room so there should be no issue.
"You are aware you've proven yourself to be of... extraordinary value..." Absolutely amazing, I'd love to see some Half Life 2 sets! One that comes to mind is the combine gunship fight with Odessa.
And the yard in Black Mesa East with Dog.
If you did HL2 sets, I think alot of the combine vehicles would be excellent fodder.
The hoverboat would definitely be tackled too
I would adore a lego strider/hunter set, perhaps with the muscle car and a Magnusson device included

Oh, and Freeman! If you pull this off, I might just forgive you for that debacle at Black Mesa. You know the one I mean... involving a certain microwave casserole.

10:04 - Ah, another one of Dr. Coomer’s clones I see! I’ll only be convinced that it’s the original Coomer, if I hear him say “Gordon, I’m thirsty”!

I like how just these four sets can be used to tell the game's story pretty well; Gordon's trip to the test chamber, the cascade, the subsequent fallout, and the arrival of the military. Really neat.
I hate that these aren't official! These are so amazing and well sell like crazy. I'd love to see these be custom made and shown off on channel like Brick Vault. Keep up the great work man.
i remember when i was really young and loved lego especially much, i used to just imagine so many different things and games but built with lego and how awesome it would be in lego form if i could build it myself, seeing this is like seeing a childhood dream realized, this is so awesome and i cant imagine how much work went into this honestly, it'd be so so so cool to see more things like this, like half life 2 or any other nostalgic piece. much love to you mikopath
This is a really nice comment, thank you so much for sharing!!
Utilising your animation skills to branch out your content to this is so, so inspired. These felt so tangible and real I just wanted to grab the boxes. Absolutely mental work as always.
Honestly I would love to have even just the Gordon and G-man models. They look so good
at 9:35 in the video the Coomer mini made me laugh
I got this video in my recommendations and was a little skeptical about it, but I still clicked on it. I was pleasantly surprised by what you had created and really enjoyed the final (fictional) products you came up with. The video combined my love for Half-Life and LEGO in a great way. I would love to see a second video where you make more Half-Life 1 and/or Half-Life 2 sets. You seem to have a knack for designing sets, and for that you have earned a subscriber. Have a good day.
I think Valve should embrace this. However, instead of going with Lego, they should go for Mold King or some of the other now much better manufacturers of bricks. Especially the triple print with white on top is something Lego simply fails to do (countless sets to prove that statement). Love the color palette and the nice attention to details. True Half Life vibe from all sets!
How did you build these sets ? (in which software ?) Also it's really nostalgic to see these characters made in lego. They look awesome !
I think for these future set ideas, you should make it so that all of the sets can be connected at certain points
he would need hallways and elevators
@@smolltaco5667 Is it feasible? No, sadly it's probably not. But DAMN if it wouldn't be cool to have a way to combine the sets into a scale model of the entire Black Mesa Research Facility. Or heck, maybe even one of the big Xen Islands. Kinda surprised he didn't make a set for the Lambda teleporter, but the anti mass spectrometer is pretty similar I guess.
Your designs are so accurate and impressive! This is exactly what I would want from a real line of Half-Life sets. Maybe you can make some HL2 sets next time?
I 2nd that. Hl2 would be amazing

I'd definitely like to see more of these I think the blast pit and Xen would be good for sets, though you might want some outside of the underground portions of black mesa so maybe surface tension?
Amazing ideas and concepts, love the sets! I would love to see more of this kind of videos
Incredible. Now I want to see some sets based on Half-Life 2.
Remember guys this is technically canon thanks to Lego GlaDOS mentioning black mesa in Lego dimensions.
lego isnt a story bro how is it canon to anything, and they could easily say its a reality where they have nothing to do with black mesa
@@smolltaco5667 but there are some realities that do have black mesa. :)
The scientist in the break room is Magnusson, not Kleiner. We know this because in Half-Life 2 Magnusson references Gordon destroying his microwaved casserole in Half-Life 1. Amazing work either way!
I always interpreted that Magnusson was elsewhere and the scientist in the room was just hanging out and went to investigate the explosion.
AMAZING job. These are so accurate and well-built! I absolutely love the figurines.
These are exquisite. The one thing I might change is swapping Kleiner and Coomer's placements, but that's ultimately minor. You've done excellent work here.
The minifigs are the coolest part of this concept. Perhaps instead of the short SW blaster, the marines could be equipped with the longer blaster with a cylinder 1x1 clipped under it to resemble the grenade launcher
do you mean piece 95199? I think that piece with a few adjustments could make a great hl1 smg
I think the head crabs should use a softer, rubbery material like with Krang from the Lego Ninja Turtles sets. It helps prevent damage.

The animations for the boxes and building process were an amazing touch! I'd love to see more custom sets from you in this style!
This is so beautiful....the attention to the details is insane...
Keeping custom molds to a minimum makes sense to a certain degree but masks are really iconic. Really hope to see more of this sort of thing, it's a great idea!
I would totally buy every single one of these. I spent so much time watching Lego Half Life stop motions on KZhead as a kid, these would be an instant yes. Very well done on minifigs, interiors, and layouts. Now if we could just get actual Portal sets to be made…

Everything in this video is superb. What an absolute work of genius. Oh to have these on my shelf...
10:25 HELLO GORDON
I never thought I'd see a resonance cascade, let alone BUILD one.
Cool idea :3 The small sets are nice but I like the last one best, probably the most iconic moment of the game. There are a few other great setpieces (blast pit with the worm, cliff side where we first get the RPG, teleporter tower in lambda complex, Xen teleporter. room..), but they are all pretty huge and would require a lot of work...
I never realized how much I wanted this. Great video!
wow. a lot of Valve fans want merch like this, the valve community would love more this sort of stuff- we want more of this!
This was absolutely fantastic! It also made me sad that this will never happen... but it was still fantastic!!! Everything was so clearly thought out and faithful to the game, and I can tell you truly made it out of passion for the series. When you started talking about the Valve in the back, and started playing Hazardous Environments, I immediately smiled. I would LOVE to see more of your takes for sets!
I love how you added the Harold, from the Q&A. The attention to detail is absolutely phenomenal.
This is too cool man! Please make more! Subbed.
Love that you used the black mesa soundtrack, personally one of my favorite game soundtracks ever. And yes, PLEASE make more from this, hl2, the ep's, and maybe even black mesa.
This is so cool. I grew up watching stop motion LEGO Half-Life videos.
I think another good idea for a set would be the railway car(whether it should be roofless to easily see inside or have a roof to attach to the railing is up to choice) with a Scientist Gordon and Gman figure
Those are amazing sets, would enjoy more of those kind of videos!
That's so cool! Even the box design, neat touch. Would be interesting if these dioramas had like side connection points so you could connect all sets in somewhat a full picture
10:59 Bro sounds like he's saying "black messer" (messer is german and translates into knife, so he's saying "black knife" XD)
Bad pronunciation from Hunt down the Freeman
great sets and really welled filmed/put together video. well done
So cool man, did such an excellent job on this! Always have wanted to see a Lego set based on Half Life, one of my most favorite video game series, and this is the time I get to see it. One thing that could of been done as a set is the chapter where Gordon reaches the outside of Black Mesa, specifically the dam area, as well as a section of Xen. If you have time, expansion sets of half life and half life 2 and maybe it’s episodes would be awesome to see be done! Either way, good job!
firstly, i utterly love the box art, its so much better than some others ive seen. secodly the detail in the style is really lovely
I get that HL:VR AI reference. Most people would think its a funny name joke, or a spin on the locker room names, but I get what you did there. Also, the HL IP is probably blacklisted because it's not exactly family friendly (guns, blood whatever) although it's not really suggestive. Though you did show it was possible to make some PG Lego sets.
This was awesome! Gosh there’s so many sets that one could do. I feel like blast pit could be really cool one.
Would be great to see the rest of the series turned into sets. These are awesome already
I had two comment ideas so here’s both of them listed as 1 and 2 1: ah yes classic LEGO not making tons of new molds for accessories 4:03 2: New video idea “I made LEGO Jetpack Joyride sets because LEGO wouldn’t”
