Dedicated Sixers fan here... Since 1976 to be exact. So it goes without saying I've seen a lot of good teams. I still remember the feeling of winning the Championship in '83... Embiid has been operating at the free throw line consistently for the last 3 seasons. That's not different. He mixes it up with the low block post ups or mid block post ups. But the reason why he's at the free throw line is because he's a bucket from the mid range and he is harder to double, and can see the right passes. On the low block he's easy to double and doesn't have as many passing avenues or his passing gets sloppy. What he needs to do is make quicker decisions. Especially if he's on the block. He could really do like two dribbles and bully anyone on the Knicks guarding him and then just do shot fake and that's an and 1 all day. Too many dribbles and the small guards will come get the ball. When Embiid makes quick decisions to either look for his or pass, the offense starts rolling. Dudes are cutting, getting open 3s. It's way smoother.
Knicks locked in the error last game is a wakeup call that they needed to keep them focused plus great road team pressure is on Philly everyone and their grand mother is watching
I really think Nurse needs to bring Paul Reed in the final 5 minutes in the fourth quarter to help Joel with the rebounding, to limit their second chances. Give Buddy a chance to make an impact at home I feel he will be the difference. Lets go Sixers we are the better team. believe it!!! play like it!
