I can't believe it's taken this long, but I FINALLY filmed a video flying the mighty Cessna 208 Caravan! The C208 is hands down my favorite aircraft in the world, and I've enjoyed every minute spent in this cockpit. Join me as I ferry the PH-LBR from Rotterdam airport to Spa in Belgium, for a week of dropping skydivers! Watch until the end for an usual surprise!! (hint: luckily i wasn't the only pilot in that plane!!)

I love jumping the Caravan! It's my favorite to jump from, especially if I'm front float.
With as many flight hours as you have, the fact that you get so excited on takeoff like this is amazing to me. It further demonstrates your passion for flying!
I just think it never gets boring. Every flight is different, and every safe flight is a true blessing. And even more so, it's so cool to be able to share these flights with you all!

I am a skydiver and also a pilot and got the chance to jump from a grand caravan last week and I have to say that this is the dream airplane to fly ! I love it and it truly makes me want to become a skydiving pilot ! Enjoy 🤙🏼🪂
That's awesome!! what do you usually jump from? It really is a freaking amazing plane to fly. It's basically a big C172, but then even easier. You will absolutely LOVE it!!
@@PilotBambi I started on a PC6 but when you try the grand caravan you truly appreciate its extra space hahaha Will have to build more hours before I can fly one, insurances are asking for a lot of hours usually :/ But yeah it looks like a lot of fun !!! 😉

This was one of the most joyous videos I've ever seen on KZhead. Bambi could bring sunshine to a rainy day just by being there. As for the C-208B, it's one of my favorite planes in flight sims. Very easy to fly, with lots of load capacity. And better range than a Pilatus, and easier to taxi than one too, being a trike instead of a tail-dragger.

Stairway to Heaven...or at least the cockpit. And the PT-6 is built in Canada. A very famous engine!
Single yoke?! Wide open door?! No leash for the cargomaster?! I'm not flying in that thing!!

Love this plane. I flew it for 3 years around the Hawaiian islands. So reliable and fun.
Looks like that ladder into the cockpit is your "Stairway to Heaven". Watching your tandem jump gave me a scare as I thought the chute aint going to open . Must be the Granddad in me! Regards, Jim in NI UK

Absolutely marvellous and inspiring. Ever since I was a tiny boy I have been fascinated by planes, going out of my way to watch landings/take-offs whenever I can. I did my first solo in '04 in a C152 at YBBK here in Sydney, and now my 12yo son is headed down that pathway too, joining the Air Force Cadets where he will fly gliders and then a DA-40. I almost had tears as you rotated - the joy on your face, that natural high that comes with doing something that you love so much. I am very moved to get back to it after too many years off. When I used to fly the c208 around the Bahamas I loved that airplane it was so easy to fly and very reliable.
I'm a ppl pilot and member at EBZW where a 208 caravan is used for paradropping. It's my dream flying that turbine beast one day 😊

Sweet! I was a full time Caravan Pilot for a couple years for a DZ. More work than people realize but a TON of fun. Ours was a modified "CargoVan" that had windows installed, obviously the jump door, and a PT6-42A upgrade. The scenery on the climb up was nice, but my favorite part was the descent from 13,000'. Play time on the way down.

I forgot to say that my alltime favourite plane is the P C 6 PILATUS PORTER - it was the 1st plane I saw as a young boy at an airport, with its long fuselage and strange looking vertical "fin" and robust wheel undercarriage and of course the unique Sound of its Turbo Pratt & Whitney engine, called a "workhorse of the skies"!! My dream is to owe one someday and to actually be able to fly it on a daily basis!! It would be nice if you could do a video flying one! This is so awesome because back in 88-92, I was stationed with the US Air Force at Bitburg and I used to jump at Fohren Trier and they had a Pilates Porter but bought a Cessna caravan and it is my one of my favorite planes to jump out of, very fast to altitude. After the DZ at Trier closed, I started skydiving at Spa which was a great place to jump with awesome people. Love your channel!!

From the old guy in FL. I flew a custom Cessna 337 stol with all custom equipment, cuffs,lpng wings with droop and 141 gal wings, 6 pass, got an FAA commendation for landing in 200 ft. THE GOULIANS HAVE 3 FBOS IN MA, SELL CURRUS SINGLE PILOT JETS. They could use someone like you! Jack Sullivan

Hello, I'd like to see more indepth content around the 208, because turbine planes are my favourite and I'd like to know more on how to operate them.
Yes it’s a good plane and a good glider fitness 17 ! Easy when you get your type rating : you may feather the prop without shut off the gaz-generator...But do not do " hot start " the next pilot will experience a failure during take off ( 105 % recommanded by the manufacturer ...). And a tricky bug : some times brakes lock the wheel just after lift of( and you will discover that when landing !!! ... by the runway ! ) ...the reason : due to heavy braking action ( overloaded on short runway ...2000’ ) the slabs of the disk not thick enough , will twist in their housing , and block the wheel .! A good think : you may reverse the prop for short final ...slow down very efficiency but not recommanded ! Have a good flight in good condition operating in 3* level... forget the regulation or quit the job !!!
