    • 100% Agree and Kieren Maguire is very good, HOWEVER he has completely missed the very important element of these accounts and that's that the Hotel has NOT been approved by the PL. Chelsea's Directors even state this as a Directors notation: "The consideration for the transaction (referencing the sale of the Hotel) is subject to Premeire League assessment under their associated party rules, this process is still to be concluded, therefore there is still a possibility that the Premier League determination of a fair market value, may differ from that recognised within these financial statements. The Directors note that the conclusion of this process may result in material change to gain the recognised in these financial statements."

    • @@johnbrand1893 I thin we are all conditioned by how Citeh operate. The fact that Chelsea's Directors specifically state that "market value" has to be agreed and hasn't yet would indicate that it wouldn't fall under a long drawn out legal case (I'm guessing). The key thing here is how much a property is worth, that's relatively easy to assertain but the big spanner in the works here is said property will be demolished shortly to make way for stadium redevelopment. With this in mind the question is why would any entity spend tens of millions of pound on a property it already owns to then knock it down.

Because as far as your fans seem to say the new players you brought in are all good, yet, you're mid table again. What gives you any hope you'll be better than mid table next season? You're selling your only decent players in order to keep below average ones at the club, but because you're all deluded you think that's a smart plan that's going to pay off. I honestly mean this, PLEASE, keep doing what you're doing. Basicly the PL have not approved the sale of the Hotel (yet). What is confusing is Chelsea produced and signed off these accounts on 20th Dec 23!!!!!! Because they are dodgey as hell they didn't submit them until last week (and even then they didn't post them online but posted them hard copy to delay their publication even further - NOTHING TO SEE HERE!!! loooool), which means that the PL might have approved the sale of the accounts during last week Dec '23 - 1st Week April '24.

  • The relegation system has no benefit and is detrimental to football. Please abolish the pro rel system. Relegation is a garbage system. What are the advantages? When a popular team is relegated, league popularity, revenue, and team salaries all decrease. And if it gets relegated, star players may move abroad, which will be detrimental to the league.Of course, star players will leave the team and broadcasting rights fees will also take a hit. Who are the owners who invest in second division teams in the first place? When a 1st division team is relegated, the number of spectators decreases, and of course broadcast fees also decrease, as well as spectators. Investment also decreases. Also, even if they are promoted to the first division, there is a high probability that they will be relegated again, and the team owner is unlikely to invest because they will be relegated anyway. Also, even if you spend money, you are punished (Nottingham, Everton) Honestly, why does UEFA make things like FFP rules and why do they prevent teams from spending money? What should we do with the weak team? If you don't finish in the top 4 or win the Europa League, you won't be able to advance to the Champions League. If you get relegated, you will incur a loss due to reduced broadcast fees. The value of the club is low due to relegation, and especially in the first division, the same team always wins even if there is a promotion and relegation system. (Especially Real.Barça.ManCity.PSG.Bayern. Of course, Leverkusen won this time, but Munich won 11 times in a row.) I think .man City will win the Champions League this time too. (i am asian If relegation is that good, relegate 15 out of 20 teams honestly, even if this happens, Manchester City or Real psg will probably win Because of the relegation system, revenue may plummet and the value of the club will drop. And to put it bluntly, there is not much difference between the MLS and the French league (Saudi Arabia is at a higher level). (I think it would be good to create a single league, closed league with about 24 teams.)
