I can never be rich, because I care for people and not my numbers. I worked for one of the W.B. owned company, and I barely could put food on my table for my kids with the income that I was getting from that job. After almost 10 years of hope, I quit and moved on with my life. Now, when the world is in crisis and every country is feeling the pain, we blame politicians, government and even Trudeau. No one thinks that my family and others lived in this kind of poverty before as well, because those rich people wanted more money. To add, we weren't unqualified people either, but no chance was ever given for us. Please, we need more human care in this world.

I have heard about WARREN BUFFET and his nickname is THE RAIDER because when he sees it company filling he will make an offer below market value, then the company won't have to file chaper9,11 or 13.
Never knew this but he is a very hard business man. His daughter wanted to borrow money from him to renovate the kitchen. He said go to the bank like everyone does.
My aunt was tough with her kids too. When they were little she'd loan them money but they had to pay interest. Those kids all turned out great and the youngest is quite wealthy from doing businesses.
And he did her a favour. He didn’t expect handouts when making his fortune.
Besides his daughter is very rich on her own--I doubt she needed to borrow money from her dad to remodel her kitchen.

With inflation currently at about 10%, my primary concern is how to grow my reserve of $300k which has been be seating duck since forever with zero to no gains. Sure I'm all in on the long term game, but with my savings are lying waste to inflation and my portfolio losing gains everyday. I need a remedy asap
There are loads of way to make a killing right now. But such high-volume near impeccable trades can only be carried out by real-time experts.
With the inflation what it is, the stock isn't going to be ranking in huge gains, it wouldn't be a bad time to BUY it, just don't expect big gains from it for a while, I'll buy once things start looking up in all those trouble areas........ Until then, too much turbulence for me.

Must have been nice to be able to buy a farm for $1200. Land alone is probably worth 250k these days. The opportunities to make money are not the same now
They are exactly the same. I bought a house in 2015 i have doubled my money within 7yrs. Being at the right place at the right time and knowing when to make moves is the key. Meanwile not having a penny to my name and using other people money to invest. Never use your money because money is very cheap to borrow. Its the same as it was 50yrs ago.
@mikep4823 it's really not though! I'm happy your house doubled in value in that time. But 50 years ago a person could support a family on minimum wage. Now 2 people working for minimum wage can't afford a mortgage. Where I live in the last 10 years homes have doubled in value as well. Making it very hard to get approved for a mortgage. And that's a major part of the problem. The housing market will crash soon enough but the valuation of homes is ridiculous and unrealistic these days
