Being a wretch makes every bit of loot valuable, and lets you explore a variety of play styles before committing. Elden Ring was my first fromsoft game and I’m glad I choose wretch.

  • The Prisoner class is also a reference to Griffith from Berserk. His helmet bears a strong resemblance to Griffiths hawk helmet, Griffith's crime of sacrificing his companions for power was a very appalling crime, and the rift on his starting shield is a reference to the infamous Eclipse which apostles use for celebrations of ascension and feasting upon humans. The From-Soft developers are notorious for all the Berserk references throughout the series and this appears to be another one.
