  • Would love to see more Edey content (and Braden Smith). Edey is such a singular talent that I’d love to see more about how Purdue plays off of him.

  • Great breakdown! As a Boiler fan I gotta say, Marquette did an excellent job on defense, especially in the 2nd half. They took us to the edge!

  • Looks like Marquettes game plan was to try and create chaos against Purdue(digs and traps at Edey) and see if Purdue is still calm and able to make the right play

  • Great video as always man, maybe in a week or so break down texas tech when they get a few more games in and show how the hiring of dave smart is effecting there play style from previous years. Just a thought because the Carleton video u made was really good!!

  • Ironic that Purdue won by three represented by the 3/4 court shot at half…

  • This breakdown reminds me how the Rockets played with Yao Ming on the court when Jeff Van Gundy was the head coach.

  • Purdue did this with a super tough match up. Should be easy to handle all the other opponents

  • @hoopsvision68 paint saw Marquette hedging the guards w/ a big man in their game and went “hey that’s actually pretty neat” and now he’s doing exactly that with TKR against TXso right now

  • Great 2 man game with Smith and Edey, but Edey inability to shoot will get exposed by teams with bigger defenders in March

  • Crazy how many steals marquette had on passes to Edey. The dude is 9 feet tall, just throw it up

    • The steals were on deflections of the entry pass due to high on ball pressure.

    • Thats exactly what he did and also why it was so easy to steal. Cant just throw it up and expect your teammates to chase it down.

  • Wonder what happens if MUs bigs dont have BS foul calls and get into early foul trouble. Purdue wins with a difference of that half court heave at the buzzer when noone played defense.

    • Let’s not be like so many other programs always whining about refs. Purdue shot the ball great, often with a Marquette defender hotly contesting. As a huge fan of MU, I think this is just the kind of game that is going to come in very handy in March. We took Purdue’s absolute best punch all while our own premier big was sidelined for a long period after committing a silly foul on the perimeter. The margin of the game was, as it turned out, that crazy 3/4 court shot by one of the three talented men named Jones on the floor that evening (afternoon in Hawaii). Thank You Purdue for such a great game. We are both better for it!

  • Edey did a great job of forearm shoving the Marquette players on almost every inside play without getting any fouls called for the most part. Dude does a good job of ref manipulation. Purdue narrowly avoided overtime by a once in a lifetime prayer 3 before the half. Would have liked to see how OT went.

    • ..no disrespect my man but Edey gets held and hacked on virtually every play and has for his entire PU career…the refs have no idea how to call a game when he’s playing…not just my take but that of every announcer that covers PU games

  • I predict Purdue to have another great regular season, then flame out again in March. Still think their guards are very average.
