This is what happens when you DON'T pay your plumber.

Please donate to my cash app I need new blades. Top contributer will get a shout out and this sawsaw. $RudyMonos.
I completed the work because another plumber had left it stubbed up through the floor. After I installed the vanity and installed the cheapest pex stopper and supply line "All in one" i installed the faucets, waste and stoppers, and mechanical vents(studor vents). I called the owner who lived in New York and he refused to pay me and told me to get the money from his (Ex) girlfriend. I called her for about a day , sent texts, nothing. Soooooo. I made this video. 😁 I found out a few months later the house went into foreclosure and about a year later after keeping tabs on this house, i purchased this place at a court house auction. Sooooo Karma I guess.

The doctor was having second thoughts when presented the bill, he said it was an awful amount of money for a few hours of work to which the boss told his brothers to go get the chains. The doctor asked why the chains and he was told were going to rip this thing off your house. Then he said I have to pay you fifty bucks just to walk in your office... the doctor saw things in a different light and paid the bill.

  • This happens too often unfortunately. The one thing they don't tell you when getting into the trades; people mysteriously disappearing when it comes time to collect your money. The worst time was when the builder refused to pay the 2nd installment payment after finishing the rough and passing inspection. We went in with sawzalls and just started cutting everything. A week's worth of work we destroyed in one hour. It makes you feel better I guess but it sucks at the same time because you're ruining your own work. Sure you can go the legal route and sue but that takes a lot of money and time. Going in there and wrecking havoc is easier and more satisfying. A lot of shady people out there and they deserve every bit of what they get, be careful who you work for.

  • One time when I was 15 an elderly couple said they'd pay me to clean they're gutters, so I did. In the rain. During November. I was so so so cold, and it took about an hour/hour and a half, maybe 2. Anyway, I go in, tell them I'm done, and would like to get paid. The old man said he didn't have any money to pay me, but that he was grateful blah blah blah. I don't remember exactly what he said because I started getting light-headed, my vision was fading, and I was about to pass out. I end up passing out in front of them, falling over, hitting my head on something, and landing on the ground while they freak out. I only know what happened while I fainted because even by though I went "unconscious," fell, and couldn't see or move for qbout 15 seconds, for some reason I could still hear and knew what was going on. When I came to the guys wife demanded he pay me, put me in one of their jackets (like 4-5 sizes too small for me), and walk me to my dads, still in the rain, that was literally 2 houses away. I got home, took a warm shower, got my $50, and laughed about the whole thing and didn't tell anyone what happened lmao. Moral of the story, pay your damn workers Edit: currently 22 and in construction now

  • I used to install hardwood floors with my old man as a kid - into my mid 20s. In a decade+ 99.9% paid with zero issue. Sometimes we had to fix small issues - nitpicks, specks of dust or nail holes. No problem, it's to be expected, but sometimes they kept digging for days over the smallest details or scratches -that they often caused. These are floors... for walking on, they will always end up getting scratched. Gravel, sand, glass, are harder than polyurethane. Sometimes people would crawl with their faces inches off the floor looking for new issues, yet we fixed these issues with a smile... If anyone decided that no amount of effort was good enough (yet wanted to keep the floors as-is, without paying) sending a mechanics lien was enough to get the final payment. One customer stands out by a mile and was the only one who we didn't even fight it and just let her short us. I will never forget this shit. She started out nice, friendly even, offering drinks and breaks, but sometimes she'd randomly lose it. She'd just stare at us and scoff and walk away or mumble under her breath angrily with no cause. We caught her sneaking up on us and spying, weird shit, then she'd go back to acting friendly and complimenting our work like nothing happened. It was like psychological warfare. She drove my dad up the wall with criticism, and snide comments before we were even close to done. Criticizing the pattern of the wood or the roughness of the first pass of sanding. The price was agreed upon ahead of time but we had to work absolutely meticulously, like we were working on a museum piece so the time stretched to nearly two weeks. When it came time to get our final payment which was supposed to be about $1500 she told us she wasn't going to pay it. She said she'd pay $500, so there was literally no profit. My dad was furious and left the room. He told me to try and handle it because he couldn't talk to that woman. I begged, explained the situation, did everything I could and she acted like she was doing us a favor, like our work was worth nothing. My dad refused to damage the floor or anything, and just wanted to leave. I got the $500 and split it with my old man. It was humiliating. Well, I kept thinking about what kind of person would act like this, and I remembered that one day I was working on the landing next to her bedroom and she was giving a consultation or therapy session or something on her computer. It sounded strange and unorthodox but I ignored it. Just thought she was some hippie doctor. I looked up her name and it turns out she isn't a doctor. She believes she's in contact with aliens, is a part of an alien race that lives among humans and she gives people "starseed" readings and has a whole cult thing going on. I'm not going to doxx her because that could come back to bite me. I'll just say that her fucking crazy behavior made a lot more sense afterwords and it made me really happy that we were done with her. About a month later she randomly texted me all friendly and said there were a few nail holes she noticed and she wanted me to come out for repairs. I blocked her ass immediately.

    • What a crazy lady. A great story to remember for sure. I've had 2 of her that I remember but the one was really trying to get laid and kept delaying the completion date because she wanted us to be there longer. The other lady was just insane and lost her sugar daddy's money which once the money stopped, so did the work.

    • @@HungarianHacker I did a year long stent as a cable guy, back then I was absolutely jacked, like 195lbs and shredded. All I did was work and work out and eat fucking chicken and protein shakes. It was a very boring life. Needless to say though, since it's one of those tropes there were a lot of random women flirting. One lady took a shower with the door open and walked around in a towel. It's all bullshit flirting though and I had a logo on my van that would have been a great target for litigation so I never tried anything funny. No one ever flirted or acted weird when I worked for my dad 😂 That's one thing that a lot of contractors have stories about. Working in a customers home you should always have a second person with you. It's just good practice in case business goes south.
