@@TheMaestro1275 I interpret the outro as love at first sight, or her finally falling. The song ends quietly and slow as she says "Everybody's falling in love, but me" . Maybe the countdown is signaling when she finally sees someone she likes or the exact moment she's fallen in love with somebody she knows. When she does finally fall in love, the instrumental picks back up again in full swing. It makes sense with the next songs in the album too :)

I can't even begin to explain how much Laufey's music has given me the hope that "good" music is still out there; and obviously, even though what's considered "good" is subjective, I really value the artistry of artists like her who actually take the time to actually play the music instead of rely on other people's samples and beats, and the raw sound of a carefully mastered recording of the instrumentals is just beautiful. I'm literally in love with this woman's talent, dedication, and soul expressed through her entire discography, and I'm just so excited to see where she goes from here
@@NakOut Last week - as a native German - I traveled by train in Germany. The train was rather full and loud, so I decided to hear some music on my cell phone, as it would not bother anyone. No headphones. So I listened to "The Girl from Ipanema" Astrud Gilberto, João Gilberto and Stan Getz, good old version. Right after a Laufey compilation started playing and around me people got silent, trying to get an idea, what I was listening to. Students, elderly ladies, it was amazing! Sure, I wish her as much success as possible, but on the other hand I am hoping that commercial success does not turn Laufey into one of those zombies we get to hear on radio these days. Maybe there are some old fashioned jazz producers around helping her out without corrupting her or pushing her.

Ngl, it took me a couple minutes for this to click. Lmfao, I get it now. I mean jokingly, yes, in reality I feel learning to disconnect and live more present and learn how to be able to focus on what you have and try to bask in that rather than the pain and what we don’t have or feel we lack is key. In my experience at least. I struggle with sever depression sometimes and have lost many friends due to not being able to preform up to ideals even when I’m totally good most of the time and go above and beyond. It sucks but the reality is like… we’re better off knowing it eventually than having wasted more time on them. I’d rather stay alone and be lonely even than to keep putting what little energy I have to spare sometimes into others who don’t appreciate me or life outside of social media and stuff yn? So, sorry to get serious but I felt it was something I should have added on for anyone needing to hear. You’re worth fighting for in that people who really care about you and your well being won’t want you having to be out of touch with yourself or reality just to get on, they would want to see you get in touch with yourself and thriving EVEN if that means talking less often/consistently, even if that means you delete socials, they’ll want you to put your phone down for days and pick up books and make tea and bask in your own life and space you slowly make your own. That’s true and healthy friendship, they want you to be the best you and will root for you every step of the way whether in spirit for a bit while apart or just a lil text saying so to check in. Yn? Healthy distance for that is important and others should understand and so many don’t and I just felt I needed to vent about that. I hope you all start to build a bomb ass relationship with yourself and the space you live in. Just, love on yourself, you deserve it!!!! 🫶🏻😌🥰💖don’t let anyone tell you otherwise or make you feel guilty or uncomfortable about it either loves!

As a senior in Highschool, this is so real. I feel like I haven't a clue what to do next. At the same time, I feel like I'm always behind everyone my age. I'm not in a relationship of any kind, while everyone else my age is dating or "likes" someone. I'm not interested in anyone.
High school is one of the worst times to get a relationship; everyone is young and stupid. There will be plenty more chances - most statistically happen around age 30.

"Falling Behind" really reminds me of the three year period between my last and current relationship, because after having been cheated on and dumped, I felt like "everybody's falling in love, and I'm falling behind." Honestly, it's one of the hardest feelings to deal with, because having already experienced the beauty and excitement of love, the pain of being dumped and seeing other people's relationships begin or continue to succeed is just insanely tough to bear. I feel that both the pain of never having been in a relationship and having been in a failed relationship make it easy to relate to the lyrics "I'm falling behind," ... and honestly, it's hard to convince yourself otherwise, but I eventually began to realize that being single didn't have to mean that I was "falling behind." -- Taking the time to really relearn how to love myself really helped me to escape the idea that being single is equivalent to failure. Eventually, I found someone who helped me to relearn the wonders of love, and now I can sing this song with the understanding that even though seeing everyone around you falling in love is often disheartening as a single person, there is absolutely hope for all that yearn for love from a special someone. It took me FOREVER to feel like I was worthy of being love again, but I swear (and as corny as it may sound), good things come in time
