This amazing single level modern tiny house has given this couple their dream home! From it’s striking all-black exterior, to the beautiful and cleverly designed interior, this home is nothing short of spectacular. This is an episode you won’t want to miss!
Russel and Leah spent three years designing this tiny house before turning it into a reality and you can truly see how all the design planning has helped to create a truly special and ultimately functional home which meets and exceeds all of the couples needs. Being a single level design home there are no stairs or ladders to climb and the home has been wonderfully crafted to be open, light and spacious.
Russel works as a police detective, and Leah a social worker specialising in at-risk youth. Both of these individuals have high value and high stress jobs and deserve a sanctuary to return home to at the end of the day and this house is just that. Beautifully designed and filled with clever features, this is a modern home which is sure to impress!
Best of all, downsizing into this incredible tiny house has enabled the couple to find a tremendous amount of freedom and has given them more time and resources to do things which are important to them, such as spending more time on holiday and with family.
We hope you enjoy the full tour of this incredible tiny house on wheels.

A simple accident could put not just getting up to one but moving about one out of reach. Having had one of those accidents at age 38 that would have made this impossible for two years and then 15 years later breaking a kneecap, which would have made it impossible for another 5, I think about these things.

  • Shout out to that husband. He looks like he is still marveling in the gloriousness of his wife's conceptual living. The wood and the green tile against the black is gorgeous. They both seem to have found a level of harmony most people search their whole lives for. I want that lady as an ally. Strong, confident, knows what she wants and knows how to achieve it. We got a housie meeting to go to. Yeah, finish drinking the xxxx. Most people do not consider accessibility enough when choosing where to live. I always think about that injury when I see all the low lofts and ladders in tiny homes... It's one small slip from being unusable.

Not sure just where that comes from but it makes me want to close down! It isn't a gift I would want to share...it is dark, mood changing, hurtful and harmful. Please respect others! Do not assume you are the self-designated truth detector in charge of audience education! • What a great house, everything is so smartly designed, I think the bathroom is an especially clever use of space and function. I really like the way she designed two cooking areas for her husbands love of cooking, and how she spent 3 years planning, and working on it together once he agreed to make the lifestyle change. He seems so proud of her! It's really beautiful. I can see the slightly bigger trailor size gives that much more spaciousness in the rooms to make one level living really comfortable and doable. Great story to share with us, thank you guys!

  • The lady really did a great job with this house. It is the first tiny house on wheels that do not look like one. And i find the placement of the windows very smart. The house is not full of them, but because they are strategically placed, give the inside enough light and wall space to feel cosy without wasting storage space. An intricate balance that made all the difference

  • I am an interior designer as well as an artist and all my life I have loved black. But I keep being told black is not a color; black is out! However, seeing this video is a clear example that they are wrong and YOU ARE RIGHT ABOUT BLACK ( and so am I). I think you’re tiny home LOL is stunning from every aspect. I love the way you have taken the metal framing and extended the size of your tiny home out to the parameters almost twice the size of the building itself, to the corners of your deck. Not only does it give a feel of Vastness, but architecturally it is so pleasing to the eye with all the lines geometrically drawing you in so many areas of interest but especially with the copper accents complementing the black on the exterior!!! Even within the copper there are geometric lines creating a visual interest and how much of that is random versus planned I don’t know but overall, one of the most pleasing-to-the-eye tiny homes I’ve ever seen, & I’m just getting started on the exterior❣️❣️ by the way, I love that beautiful wooden table, chairs and bench out on the front deck❣️❣️ The rich colors in the wood complement the copper pipes and light fixtures, of course but it is a massive size it’s self which is ironic culture your tiny house yet, it says there holding its own as if it was always meant to be there!!! SO BEAUTIFUL, - WAY BEYOND FUNCTION ❣️❣️ You did an excellent job planting the interior portion of your tiny house it is beautiful, that is so obvious❣️❣️ as an interior designer you met all the Themes Perfectly, so that there is such a harmony wherever you Look… The painting you’ve had for years is not only a beautiful painting that such a great Designer dream play starting off point for the rest of your home…. But I also love how smart you guys were in measuring the items that you needed to bring to the Tiny House So that your Cabinets Not only met Everyone of those measurements, but provided you with kitchen cabinets that were so smart and stunning so that the rest of your life was going to be lived in comfort… I especially liked the pull out turnaround toaster cabinet yes it was exactly the size of your toaster… Who has that?!?!I could go over each and every detail of your home I think the thing I love the most was the view outside your bedroom window and the tranquility that you brought into the bedroom it was from a design standpoint, PERFECTION❣️ You have a piece of Heaven & you have chosen the right values to live out away from the madness the world and I couldn’t be happier for you❣️❣️ WELL-DONE♥️♥️🌈❣️❣️

  • Having seen how useless a second floor could be when my late Mom couldn't climb stairs anymore, I love how this design take that into consideration. The deck is lovely and inviting to spend more time outdoors. To paraphrase Bill Bryson, we usually use houses and cars to shelter us from the outdoors. The wisdom of tiny house living is in providing a balance betwen our time indoors and outdoors. It's also a test for relationships since living so close to people who don't resonate with us quickly becomes apparent unlike in big houses where people hide in their own spaces.

  • This is sooo beautiful! What a stylish elderly couple! She has such great sense of design and style. She's so put together and planned it so well. I could live here and not feel like changing anything. Look at the overlapping roof creating a veranda on 3 sides....that huge barbecue/outdoor kitchen....that backdoor through the bedroom is so romantic! She's such a good homemaker....both of them really. I only wished they had more room for the TV. It's too close when you sit at the dinning. But I think this is my best of all of Bryce's tiny houses. ((NO to stairs, or worse yet, ladders, in those middle-of-the-night bladder runs! Also still livable should one break a leg or an ankle.) Interior was well designed, too. Great layout and colors. While the exterior industrial shipping container aesthetic doesn't appeal, I like the way the deck was incorporated. Such a roomy home for one-level living in a tiny house! It would be do-able if one ever needs a walker, too.

This house is one of the top three I have "saved" for future reference. Wishing Leah and Russell the very best in their transition to "tiny" living in New Zealand. I live in New York City (we know about "tiny"!) but travelled through New Zealand - both islands - after building Habitat for Humanity housing for a Maori family on the North Island.
