@@beiliushou9188 HIDDEN GEM! ONE OF THE FUNNIEST SHOWS IVE EVER SAW
The anime mocking anime being watched by people who a year ago were mocking anime, the eclipse truly sent us to a new dimension.
It’s truly way overdue. OPM was a big help in my initial distaste for anime
@@EricLS yeah its almost like you were making up what anime was in your head without actually ever watching it
@@EricLS The entire point of it is to make fun of other anime. Won't make sense to you if you haven't watched others.
That's just a plain incorrect take, One Punch Man is an obvious satire.@@joshuadelaughter7968
@@joshuadelaughter7968 It would make less sense but it's still enjoyable (obviously)
Fun fact: One Punch Man originally is a webcomic and self published by "One", the series later got a remake by illustrator Yusuke Murata in 2012 and *Saitama's punch is still ongoing to this day...*
Murata is only the illustrator
@@heisenberg368 Nope
Nah there is "One" anonymous illustrator which is the original one punch man. You can look it up in Google if you want. But yeah his drawings are nowhere near murata's drawings. So it's easy to not get recognised.. I guess.
Its also not a weekly manga like one piece which they mentioned in the video, so its not like the story is stretched out
@@lvlplusplays ''One'' is also the creator of the story-line of OPM
The editor note at the start begging Haikyuu fans to go vote for Haikyuu in the polls had me ROLLING I'm crying it's so funny that the editor is desperate for it to win just like some of us here JHBWHJEB
I hate Sports anime with a passion. They always get everything wrong, from rules, regulations, to terms. That being said, Haikyuu is probably the best one, even though it is cringe sometimes if you know anything about professional volleyball. I think they would like it, but they are all jocks I'm pretty sure, so maybe they will have the same kind of reactions that I did. I feel like sports fans really dislike the Japanase sports anime genre.
@@db212006 shut up nerd, tonnes of volleyball reactors on YT love haikyuu
@@noodlehead981 ya cause it shines light on volleyball of all sports, it's a pretty minor one. That said, it's cringe as fuck, just like you. Of course someone who's never been athletic or enjoyed sports 500lbs overweight living in the darkness of their mother's basement would love the show.
exactly lmao , from volleyball coaches to olympic gold medal winners like haikyuu @@noodlehead981

0:49 "please - the editor" 😂😂😂 That fact that we ended up in 2nd place in 3 or 4 polls now pains me hahaha
This first season is more of an introduction to the world of OPM. Not an overarching plot yet but you'll meet a ton of characters and the hint of plotlines. You'll see a lot of allusions to other animes and parodies to your traditional tropes. But there is humor, heart, and earnest charm in here too.
The manga is still ongoing and amazing!! Season 3 should be coming soon so you guys started watching at the perfect time!!
PLEASEBEGOODPLEASEBEGOODPLEASEBEGOODPLEASEBEGOOD
Season 3 is a banger! I'm excited for the studio to animate the arc 🤚
S3 will be animated by the same team who did S2
What makes One Punch Man funny is the way it pokes fun at traditional shounen tropes. I wonder if they've watched enough to fully appreciate it.
As some of them have said before, the tropes had what kept them away from the genre previously. So I'm also hoping they see the heart this show has underneath.
Idk they take things too seriously or don't get it still, like smile man is obviously a joke, idk if everyone got that tho smh, but they'll get it after a few episodes
Opm is seinen
@@confusedcat261 Yes but it is a complete parody of your typical shounen. E.g. MC has some grandiose motivation to be the best meanwhile Saitama is a hero for fun. MC struggles through extreme hardships and training to gain power meanwhile Saitama achieves it through the dumbest training method. Even the character design. Anime MC hair is always outlandish. Saitama is the direct opposite of Goku. I dont want to spoil but OPM parodies the villains, side characters and plot lines as well. Its probably not going to be as blatantly obvious and hilarious to those who havent seen more than a handful of shounen. They'll probably still enjoy it though.
people keep preaching this nonesense like is there job
YOU MADE A GOOD CHOICE HERE! WILL NOT DISSAPPOINT
This has me so hyped You guys are gonna love it
NO WAY 😱😱 Let’s go goated reacters watching goated show
They are not goona like this one. This is way out of their cup.
@@harshraj9266Why would you think that? They're already really enjoying it lol
@@harshraj9266 so what's show they gonna like??
@@harshraj9266 they just dont like the generic tropes anime uses, One Punch Man is the show that pokes fun at those and is not taken too seriously the show also maintains good action animations. Im pretty sure theyre gonna love it, Season 2 is a massive downgrade in the production department though (animation, sfx, character design) But thanks to one's magnificent storytelling and writing, its still tolerable to watch.
@@theeyeofeyes they don't like anime's with cartoonish and chibi faces. The said it themselves that they prefer serious kind of Animes like attack on titan and Vinland saga.

F YEAHH ! TIME TO BINGE THIS GREAT SHOW BEFORE S3 OUT LETSGOOO! IM SO HYPE right now scrolling through YT and your vid pop out, out of nowhere watching one of my fav anime
Are there any news ab s3 date release?
From what I understand, season 1 has such good animation and overall adaptation "quality" because the people in charge of the anime were personal friends with many veteran animators who happened to deeply appreciate what ONE is/was attempting to do with One Punch Man, especially at the start (what got adapted for season 1): give a loving and light-hearted yet satirical take on the best and worst tropes that the shonen genre has offered us over the years. They knew exactly when to draw Saitama as that weird plain-looking dude for maximum contrast and comedic effect. They also knew when to unabashedly give us a hype fight sequence where he just looks badass af. Just like they nailed Vaccine Man as purple naked Piccolo! It was lightning in a bottle just to have all these veteran animators not only willing but available to work on the same project together at the same time. Even though the artistic choices (and lack thereof imo) taken by JC Staff for season 2 led to me dropping it after a handful of episodes, I don't think it's reasonable to expect anything past the first season to match its quality.
Thanks for the info, S1 is still one of the greatest animated pieces in media I've seen in 7 years, and the story has such a great comedic take on the superhero genre while also having solid underlying themes, honestly still one of my favorites And yes S2 is a large departure from this and I really did not like anything about it unfortunately (except fubuki)
@@jjthomson2815 you don't like garou?
There's a fan restoration project for Season 2 that addresses a lot of its problems if you're interested.
this is a perfect explanation
@@GreenTeam-re3jyhe kinda boring
Hope you guys enjoy it, S1 was animated by Studio Madhouse, but even then it was actually an elite team of animators that got together to create this masterpiece. S2 was done by JC Staff, they mostly animate RomComs and fanservice stuff so they kinda butchered it in quality. Hopefully they get some goats on their team for S3.
yessssssssss i just punched my bed out of excitement seeing u guys react to opm
Never expect one punch man from you guys ❤️ This one is fun too!!
Babe wake up! The new Studio gek one punch man reaction is out!

I’m excited for this one!😂 glad you guys are checking out One Punch Man. Honestly this anime has amazing animation Edit: I prefer s2 over s1 in terms of story telling but the animation quality is better in s1. S2 animation quality isn’t terrible. I think the difference is exaggerated by the fans tbh. But there is a difference that’s noticeable if you pay attention
Nah I'm one of the people that actually like Season 2 but the difference in animation is not exaggerated at all lol. I completely understand why people would be disappointed by S2. No one can say S2 is outright bad tho unless they've watched it properly.
I'm literally reading the one punch man manga right now🥰🎉
Season one of one punch man is a masterpiece.
MANN, TYSM FOR REACT THIS, THIS JOURNEY WILL BE GONNA AMAZINGG!!! 🙏🔥🤫😜😈

You guys reacting to One Punch Man was an unexpected surprise but a welcome one. It's really fun to watch your reactions, even in a show like One Punch Man that is mainly humoristic and action, you find depth and develop on it, I find your discussions really nice and it makes me think too
I am soooo ready for this!!!!!

Oh hell yeah! OPM LETS GOO!
I am so pumped you guys are hitting OPM, it's one of the best
AYYEE! IG THIS IS 2ND SEINEN SHOW AFTER VINLAND SAGA YOU GUYS ARE WATCHING - (Some people think One Punch Man is Shounen cuz it was originally a web comic that got turned into a Manga & originally it was supposed to be published under Weekly Shounen Jump but eventually got changed into a Tonari no Young Jump title which is a Seinen Magazine & fortunately, OPM is their best & most successful work so far) This show is Hilariously Incredible specially the 1st Season & Manga just doesn't stop dropping Banger Chapters either, since Season 3 is coming out I think this is the perfect time for you all to catch up 🕺 I would definitely recommend watching *MOB PSYCHO 100* too once you all are done with this cuz it's from the same Author & in general i think Mob Psycho is a way better story & deserves more recognition.
Haven’t seen you guys in a little bit. This is a great pick
Glad to have you back
YESSSS!! Been waiting on this one boys
Anime is the kind of content you watch when you are alone, just look at how hard they try to make a reaction 💀
Please guys watch FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST BROTHERHOOD, one of the greatest show ever made
They have been watching it, and they're almost finished.
They watching it on patreon
One punch man is just so fun. Usually I really like my shows to have a very compelling story, something that I really have to sit down and just pay attention to. But one punch man is just one of those that I could just have on in the background. While I'm doing something else and no matter what time I peep in, it'll probably be something entertaining
11:53 Jack mentioning your favorite kinds of shows including lots of fights. In that case I highly recommend this anime called Record of Ragnarök. It's nearly 100% fights through a tournament style story between humans and gods. It's extremely heavy on both real history and mythology if you guys are into that.
It was actually a sarcastic comment, some people on Patreon said that the guys only like fights and don't appreciate the story behind, so he was making fun of that 😅
@@alejandra5057 damn well it's still a great underrated anime and does have some story but has lots of nice fights too

LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I got worried I wouldn’t be interested in the anime you watch after you’ve finished HXH, but this is another great one
Finally opm reaction i was waiting for this so long im so hyped!
I remember watching the first episode and all of the emotions I felt in it It’s just my personal experience and opinion, but I can’t help but appreciate how incredibly well done this all was set up in one episode I shall recall my experience now: Despite the title of the show I guess I had no idea what I was expecting with the first punch of the series. I think it was because I actually never watched a scene like that in particular with the “threat,” already shown as an incredibly dangerous threat, looming and growing only to get taken down by an epically charged but surprisingly nonchalant strike. What made it even more interesting but immediately understandable was his reaction afterword, which emphasized just how long he must have felt like this. That op was straight fire. It’s still holds a special place in my heart ever since I first witnessed it. The sheer power and adrenaline you felt just listening to it, practically begging you to either defeat baddies with ease or workout all day and do some more after that. Then the animation just brings it another level of entertainment as it is incredibly animated and just as adrenaline inducing. Honestly, it may have been because it was one of my first genuine anime experiences but this was just one of the few openings I could never skip and instead just hyped me up as I sat through this masterpiece. Not to say that the epic openings I hear now I sometimes skip are nowhere near bad or even just alright but actually fantastic but I always was just too excited for the story itself to wait, which is a shame. You can understand the confusion that Meister have felt with that origin but after the revelation of it being a flashback it just made that much more sense and added to what we already knew about him. His mundane attitude just perfectly felt like he was just some guy at a store like anyone, which was the problem as he feels stuck in a rut of boredom and normalcy. Even continental threats only give him more entertainment in his interactions with them and their musings rather than just he fight itself as it was all too short. His walk and night home perfectly emphasizes, no, makes you experience just how exactly he feels. The animation, music, even speech just felt a little depressing and you genuinely feel bad for him. It must be hard to feel like you’re literally always touching air rather than actually experiencing the genuine sensation of an almost scalding but satisfying bath or any other normal thing to someone. Even if I was consciously aware that this had to be a dream or something, the fact that his confrontation with the mole men felt like a genuine threat, something that nowadays some media just don’t make me feel as much. It was so alien to see him actually just be in a struggle as we were just shown that this should not be happening. That said, the emotions of confusion and anxiety soon subsided to that of excitement and entertainment as the fight begins and goes on. Then that walk out of the fire, declaring he is the surface’s guardian, was just one of the most badass walks and declarations I’ve seen, especially as then starts literally bodying the enemy, all the while feeling that spark of emotion king gone not just arise but flourish all the while you surprisingly feel genuinely happy that he’s feeling it all again. And that the climax will just cement this moment of joy in his mind forever. Unfortunately, for him and us, he woke up. The illusion we watched and emotions we just felt drained away about as fast as his own were. Even after the revelation they do exist and he fights them head on, reality struck back showing he just was too strong. Looking back, I don’t know if this and the other anime’s I watched after should have been my first because after a few years later of watching other shows, I never realized until recently just how much the bar must have been raised from that one episode alone. The story, character, animation, music, Etc. was just perfect in comparison to others. Again, not to say some of those shows in the years were anywhere near bad or even far away from OPM, but they rarely had the blend of all the previous elements I just mentioned in one package, let alone the first episode. That episode I felt like I watched half of an entire season of a show already was just how much that got across to me in one episode. To say my respect for it still remains is far more set in stone but my reality itself. That’s my experience and I just thank you for anyone that also read this far.
Damn one of my favorites! Let's go! Still wondering when invincible is coming back to the chanel though
One Punch Man began as a webcomic in 2009 by ONE and was picked up as a manga by Murata in 2012. So basically it was like 6 years later that we got the first season. The manga is still ongoing.
So glad you guys are watching this!

Let's go! I've been recommending OPM for a long time. You guys will love it.
Heard one of them mention the two different art styles in this series, so thought I'd shed some light on it with some background information. The reason for the two different art styles in this series is b/c of the two original illustrators from when this was a simple web-comic. First is the more goofy & cartoony style of the original creator of the series, who at first didn't know how to draw that well, or at least had an extremely hard time making "serious" looking drawings, but he wanted to create this story anyway despite his lack-luster artistic abilities and eventually took full advantage of his "comedic" art style for some great laughs! Then afterwards the guy caught the attention of, and eventually teamed up with, one of the best manga/anime artists in the field, who was able to lend his skills into making the series actually look as serious, dynamic, and sharp as it originally wanted to be, while also helping the original creator improve on his own art & style, both in the "goofy" way and in the "more serious" way. This combo of what seems like both the lowest possible effort doodles and highest possible effort illustrations, and eventually animations, gives you a series where the people that live in this world take everything absolutely seriously, but the series itself *does not* take itself seriously, especially around our main character, the One Punch Man. That all being said, this is like 10 year old information I'm pulling out of my brain here, so I doubt its 100% correct, but is probably still a decent abridged version of the events.
You said you thought Mappa made this. Just to clarify, this was made by Studio Madhouse. If I remember correctly, some of the big guys from Madhouse left, I don't remember the reason, and they founded Mappa. So that's why Madhouse and Mappa are strongly associated but I couldn't really tell you the details from memory.
yes finally I have been commenting to watch opm lol XD
POWER!! FEEL THE POWER!!!
yooo thats fckn hype!!
What a surprise!
LET'S GOOOOO
I have watched your AOT reactions and now you're doing OPM, I am so excited! Hope you'll enjoy the series ☺️
The studio is MadHouse, they also made Hunter x Hunter and Death Note. There was a meme about how they almost never make third seasons. And if I'm not mistaken, the former director founded Mappa and that's why the logos are so similar.
Idk if people have already said this but Smileman (the red and yellow one that shows up pretty beaten up in the cold opener) is likely a homage to El Chapulin Colorado, a Mexican parody superhero from a TV show of the 60s. RIP Chespirito, the creator and lead role of it. No contabamos con su astucia.
