    • Yh you know that's not all depressed people do right? He is not a human nor was he raised in human society so why should his depression look like human depression? They could have taken his depression in ANY direction. He could have become cold and stop being jokey and become like his father. He should have made new Asgard into a fortress and refused to interact properly with others outside his kingdom in fear of losing what he had left. He should have become his father basically. And it should have taken someone showing him he had become the leader he had never wanted to be for him to slowly change and let go of his coldness and obsessive control and protectiveness. But no we got depressed people overeat and drink and therefore get fat (Which does not apply to him because he is a god and there is no amount of food on earth that has a much calories as the beer and meat on his home planet because God's need way more calories but oh well. And when it comes to exercise his figure is genetic because he is a god and he never exercised or trained to get it so why should he lose it if he doesnt exercise? He got his body naturally as soon as he was old enough and it never changed wether he spent a couple months parting and drinking with no sleep or rest or exercise because he's a god but let's just ignore that). Just say you lack creativity and go. Some highschool depiction of depression for a race from a different planet. Heck I've had depression and non of it affected my eating, I dont drink and I didn't stay inside. I had panic attacks, blackouts and patches in memory.

All that Thor went through, and even after killing Thanos, knowing he would not be able to restore things to the state they were before, made him succumb to depression, and then he let go of everything.

  • My explanation for Peter Quill: Him "screwing up" the plan happened AFTER Doctor Strange saw every possibility, meaning Doctor Strange needed all of that to happen in order to lead us to endgame. The battle on Titan, Peter interrupting them while they had Thanos trapped, Thanos winning in the end of Infinity War, it was ALL APART OF DOCTOR STRANGE'S LONG TERM PLAN! Peter Quill stopping them HAD to happen for us to even get to Endgame!!

    @ForzasPanda@ForzasPanda4 ай бұрын
    • Yeah but this seems more like it's informed to the viewer than it making sense in the story. Peter (Parker) had taken the gauntlet off by himself, and had Iron Man not needed to hold Peter (Quill) back they would've done it quicker. Then you have an asleep Thanos, 5 stones (of which Dr. Strange has already used 1 to universe-saving effect without dying), and nothing in the way of chopping Thanos' head off. Like they say there was only 1 way out of 14 million, but the plot the set up makes that impossible to show as the case so they just had to say it and we accept it as true to stop asking natural questions to ourselves while watching. Like even if you think about the 14 million thing, among infinite timelines the only way you get to that many permutations without even one other success like "Thanos gets a heart attack" or "Thanos slips on a banana peel and snaps his neck" is if you were only looking for the failed scenarios. Yes Peter (Quill) HAD to happen for us to get Endgame, that's definitely what the Russos said to Disney. But in order to win and there only be 1 highest grossing movie of all time instead of 2 in two years, Peter (Quill) should've been blasted. Thanos would've needed ridiculous plot armor to get out of that situation with no stones, Strange alone would've taken him.

    • @@bodigames In Endgame when that happened they didn't have Thanos asleep, nor Peter and Iron Man about to take 5 stones from him at once, nor a sorcerer powerful enough to use the time stone to its fullest without killing himself. Thor in Endgame was out of shape when he fought Thanos wielding a new adamantium sword, while Thor in Infinity War was able to kick Thanos' ass who was using _all 6 infinity stones_ to try and kill _him_ like it was easy. Stormbreaker sliced right through like he had the Odinforce or something, man had to be more powerful than Hela then. Not to mention the only reason Thanos made it to Earth in order to get sonned by Thor was.... Peter Quill being a dumbass.

His mother, father, brother, even his unknown sister was dead and he had already killed the man who killed his brother. Him being depressed because in a few short years out of thousands of years of life everything turned upside down, he had absolutely nothing but some ptsd and survivor's guilt for coming _just_ short of stopping universal genocide is understandable. He felt he had nothing to fight for, so he gained some weight. Either way, he was still worthy and its why he never actually gets muscular again in this one. He doesn't need to be redeemed, his scars don't make him any less. If it helps Hemsworth was drowning in juice the next movie so clearly Thor learned from getting his ass kicked in this one in a way he just didn't in Infinity War. He only skipped leg day.

  • 15:48 Nebula wasn't there. She didn't see Thanos throw Gamora off the cliff on Vormir. She also didn't know about the "everlasting exchange" in which someone you loved had to die as a sacrifice in order to obtain the Soul Stone, and Thanos and Gamora clearly didn't know until they got there. So all Nebula knew was that both Thanos and Gamora went to Vormir, and that only Thanos returned with the Soul Stone. That's it. She likely just assumed that Gamora died in combat against Thanos trying to prevent him from getting the stone. The only people who knew about the sacrifice were Thanos and Gamora because they were the only ones who went to Vormir. Gamora was the sacrifice and had no oportunity to tell anyone before she died, and Thanos was beheaded by Thor without telling anyone. So Nebula didn't know and couldn't warn Clint and Natasha about it. We see Natasha even piece it together when she gets to Vormir and meets Red Skull. She did know that Gamora died on Vormir because Nebula told her, but Nebula didn't have all the information to give Natasha. Remember, just because we the audience are watching and therefore have this information, that doesn't mean that all the characters in the movie have that information too. They're not watching the movie with us. They're not Deadpool, breaking the fourth wall to rewind and fast-forward their own movie in order to see everything that's happened. They're only experiencing the events of the movie from where they are and from their own perspective. They can only find out information by either experiencing things themselves or by being told by other characters who already knew. It's like how no one knew that Ant-Man was alive in the Quantum Realm because the only people who knew - Hank, Hope, and Janet - all got turned to dust. We as the audience knew, but no one within the world of the movie knew. The rest of the world just assumed that he got dusted too.

  • Do they think that Nebula knew about the sacrifice thing? Because she didn't. All she knew was where the soul stone was because Gamora told her. Neither Gamora nor Nebula knew about the sacrifice thing.

    • She said it when quill punched thanos about gamora. She said “he came back with the soul stone and she didn’t” or something like that so she had an idea of what happened

    • @ariela_ yes, but that doesnt imply that she knew or even came to the conclusion it was a sacrifice. For all she knew Thanos killed gamora for trying to stop him. Its all too ambiguous for her to just KNOW that.

  • The reason why Thor became fat is because he blames himself for everything. He spiraled down a dark path because of regret. If he had just killed Thanos the first time, none of this would've happened. That's why he IMMEDIATELY went for the kill the second time but at that point it didn't matter. The stones are destroyed. Thanos is injured and no longer has any will to fight. He truly won. Whether he lives or dies won't change anything.

  • Wanda didn’t get the respect she deserved in this one. She was pissed and came to square up and was the only one who fought him alone, and came the closest to defeating him. In infinity war, Thor was late to the party while she interacted with Thor, and in endgame, capt. Marvel was late….. a few seconds earlier there would have been no rain fire and she could have given him the ultron treatment by ripping out his heart. 😅
