    • @@lisamcdonald2877 I don't have that much experience with parrots but most of them seem to have preferences, usually personal ones, about when and where to poop. One grey I babysat would only do his morning poop over a garbage can because that was how his owner trained him. It was a good thing because that morning poop was MASSIVE! :D Our little poicephalus would poop when we asked him to before picking him up- and we were pretty good about when he needed to go back to his place to poop or to make sure we had a paper towel ready. Wild birds tend to poop before flying (offloading excess weight) and some even collect and dispose of poop in the nest far away from the nest so as not to attract predators.

Cockatoos are the most rehomed parrot out there. They are loud and tear up everything you own. lol We just happen to be ok with it. We can handle Busters moods and enjoy his high points. • I also read that when you slow blink at a kitty it tells the kitty I love you❤ apparently a slow blank crossover to different species. I think it’s important we find out what to do with each animal to tell them we love them. I don’t think she actually handled this very well. She should’ve been cuddling her Cockatoo and telling him I love you the whole time she asked him for a favor of pooping in his cage. Saying I love you so much! I even love your poop! It’s just that we normally don’t keep poop in the kitchen because that’s where we eat. I love you so much you are so wonderful. Do you think we could have you poop in your cage from now on? I don’t want your food to get dirty with the poop. But you are so adorable no matter what you do I will always love you. Do you think you can poop in your cage for mama? I think a long conversation like this is what a cockatoo can come to understand in the context of love. If someone’s correcting my behavior I’d like to hear that I was loved, was wonderful and am adorable...

  • So funny, how he said nothing as you chastised him to his face. Waited until he went back to his room (cage), and then ranted and raved to himself. Sounds like me as a teenager.😏🦜✌️
