  • I love this new blend of parkour and climbing you guys are pioneering, you're totally bending the medium and basically inventing a new sport. Beautiful stuff! I'm reminded of Josh's wall run on that famous wall by the beach where storror put those wooden climbing blocks, that shit was dope. Looking forward to new stuff! Hopefully you guys are able to totally create your own gym someday, with rails everywhere and blocks to jump to the wall from. Letting go of a hand jam from the wall and kicking off to a rail pre? Stuff like that would be so cool, you could make some stellar runs in a gym like that. Madd potential here

    • can't believe some people hate this type of climbing

      @iamdumplingboi6875@iamdumplingboi68755 ай бұрын
    • @@iamdumplingboi6875It's not that people _hate_ it, it's that it's so completerly different from every other form of climbing. There's not very much skill overlap. Parkour is _great_ fun to do, and a blast to watch, but it's not rock climbing. They're called different things for a reason. Lead comps are really the only competition climbing that actually feels like _climbing_ anymore.

  • Great video! Maybe a useful piece of info, that I thought of when you mentioned the wide boyz volumes. Sometimes the bouldering gyms in Bristol have them, but the setters seem to refuse to use them for less than a V8. They’re normally too steep for even the strong boulderers to learn the style, and end up unused. I’m sure there must be good ways to set fun cracks at lower grades, that would get more people into it and using them.

  • It's an amazing boulder and could be a great WC/Oly separator. As currently set, I would not expect many tops of this thing in 4 minutes. The swing doesn't look too bad the way Pete did with a direction change and regenerate. I think a lot of pros would be able to pull that off, maybe 14/20 make the catch (first zone). The flared crack up there looks proper techy especially without crack gloves. Seems like only a few athletes have that level of crack skill (anyone other than the Odog?). I'm going 3/20 athletes. Curious if the swing hold was a bit worse, maybe you could force Toby's single movement. If that were the case, probably 0-1/20 tops. Credentials: None really. Just watched this video and most of the world cups in the last decade :)
