Not only did I enjoy his magic performance, but I love this guy's composure, softness, and the presence. Appearance and handsomeness of a Korean star, and the personality that most probably admire of having. He didn't say anything when the judges were speaking, and smiled and nodded when they were speaking highly of him.
And don’t forget bowed along w smiling and nodding which is a sign of politeness and respect to the person you’re bowing to in Korea

As a professional magician for 15 years this is the best magic I've ever seen in this show. His sleight of hand is incredible.
I was thinking he should go on Fool Us if it is still going. I know it was all slight of hand, but the elegance of his hands is amazing.

Just an unreal display of sleight of hand and “staying one step ahead” of all of us. As Penn would say on his show, “I was keeping up for a while, then you just beat me into submission and I stopped trying to keep up.”

@@beyza2000. no! I hate when people do that. The moment you know how it is performed, it is no longer a “magic” act. Magic does not exist. We all agree on that, right? The “magic” is watching the audience’s eyes wondering what they just saw. They KNOW magic does not exist, but what they have just seen has them wondering, even if on a small scale, is “real magic”. You don’t want to know. Unless you plan to become a performer yourself, just let all magic acts stand on their own without needing to know “how”.

I've seen a lot of magicians but the originality of his magic is amazing. It gave me goosebumps! Some comments are suggesting he is grabbing the props from under/behind the table and I just had to laugh. Real geniuses we got here. Of course he is, where else is he going to hide all that stuff? It's the way he did it, how smooth and seamless it was and it's called sleight of hand. It takes years of training to be a magician of his caliber. If you can do half of what he just did let me know Einstein.

His sleight of hand is top notch no joke. There's a guy underneath the table handing him the props. But this doesn't take away his skill. That's why his left hand is positioned in such an awkward way occasionally. The guy under the table also has a remote to open the Imagination card panel.

I had to watch it twice because the first time I was distracted by his beauty. But damn I love this performance. So subtle and minimalistic no fire, knives, etc no extra's. Just a beautiful story and hypnotizing hand work.💚💚

@@beaux2585 he won the most famous magic competition where the judges are well known magician who studied for years. Based purely on accolades i think he got it beat. He's not as showy because it's obvious he's aiming for timing and beauty. I saw an older performance of his and he's unbelievable.
the first impression I immediately got was not his magic but his good look and elegance. as for his magic performance, it was done beautifully, elegantly and flawlessly. IMO one of the best acts on AGT in the past decade.

The amount of time and dedication that goes into creating an act like this is incredible. Manipulation acts are one of the hardest acts to perform in magic and he executed it flawlessly. Well done Yu! 👏👏👏

This act was so well polished and professional. This would have been a good enough for the final act. He has built up my expectations to such a level for what he will do next, if he makes it to the Finals.
His performance reminded me of "sounds of magic".. He even look like ji chan wook to me and the character he played in this movie..🥰🥰 i m so blown away by his princelike elegance, delicate movement and charm... It made feel like i was watching a theatrical showmanship... I can imagine him acting in this type musical theatre like movie...he got that look,.. I wonder what hes doing here.. He should be already taken by the agency and be famous in. korea with that visual and charm😍😍..anyway definitely rooting fr him ABC his,dream...
I wouldn’t be surprised if Ji Chang work modeled his characters personality and demeanor after Hojin. Yu Hojin has been a famous magician and world champion for many years in Korea.

Classic magic, nothing that's unexplainable. Nothing is trying to lie to you. Its just art. It makes you believe and it makes you appreciate it without begging to know how its done. Its a conversation with the audience, not a presentation

i nearly didn't watch this because I was a bit underwhelmed by his first performance. This was magical. Magical in the magic that was performed, but also magical in its beauty and the way it took me to that special place that a great storyteller takes their audience to. A place that children and those with great imagination can go to. It was a story told with his hands as much as his voice. Delightful.
His act is shocking, unbelievable. Conclusion:- truly impressive.

This might be the single most a contestant has stepped up their game I've seen on the show. His audition was o.k. but this was legit exceptional.

Why I feel like crying watching this? The story, the way he acts and talks, the hand skills, and the music all harmonized so fantastic that it created a fantasy in the moment I was watching. It showed magic can be a living fantasy. It is magic and it is art and it is movie and it is life memories living with all of us. So touching so excellent:)
Although every act was top tier this week, this was the only one that made me feel excitement and kept me entertained all the way through. I really hope he makes it to the final.

Dustin is not a magician, he is a motivational speaker and not even a particularly good one. He won cos he was able to hoard the Church vote. This act on the other hand, is real craft. This is the type of act every magician aspires to deliver. Truly breathtaking

As expected of Hojin Yu, my guy had already won FISM Grand Prix 2012, his Grand Prix winning act was the inspiration of Shin Lim's "Dream Act". And it's also my personal favourite Magic performance till now.
people are smart, we can search up any magic tricks online. magic is not about witch stuff anymore, its about delivery. and this guy delivery on his magic is top notch!

With magic he is usually a terrible judge. He gets floundered by magic that a 5 year old can do, like we saw last year. This act on the other hand, is absolutely astonishing. Simon should learn some basics of magic so he can truly appreciate these next level acts

I love Shim Lin, but he can't pass his master. This guy is an absolute performer. True magician. Shim has a great deal of self insecurity, he tries to balance with aggression and by being overly dramatic. This act was similar to Eric's table show, but it was more magical and flawless, for it was pure imagination, you didn't have think about what is this and why.
This master? all he's done is sleight of hand. His movements were pretty rigid in my opinion, as you can visibly see him palming something from time to time. This is not an act that would even win a fool us trophy on P&T I don't think. You should watch Shin Lim on Penn and Teller, his 2 shows were much better. 99% of magic performance is trash on AGT because they prioritize visual over skill and technique. In this case, judging from his hand movements, he's no where near Shin's level. Also that last part, the moving Ink, it is just the prop, and requires no technique.
