Couple Lyndsey and Jonathan have received a lot of judgement for their difference in size and Lyndsey’s extremely young-looking features. People often assume that Lyndsey, age 22, is a child and the pair are in an underage relationship. However, Lyndsey’s tiny size is due to a rare form of cancer she was diagnosed with at the age of five. The cancer caused her hormones to stop working and meant she didn’t grow taller than 4ft10. The couple have to deal with stares and whispers in public (Jonathan is a whole foot taller at 5ft10) but they receive most of their negative comments from trolls online. Jonathan says “it can be hard but because we love one another we just push it to one side”.

I agree that it is an ignorant comment. I took it as because she looks like a child that she would felt to and understand the needs and wants of her baby.
It’s not a determinant, but it is a factor. Some women that have ginormous boobs can’t even hug their kids. Their kids hate that! That’s not good parenting and boobs didn’t come naturally either.

I feel bad for people like her and Shauna Raye whose growths are stunted due to serious medical conditions like cancer. Not only do they have to deal with being smaller than everyone else, as someone who is 4'2" and 19 I know how annoying and frustrating that can be, but they also have to deal with having a serious illness like this, I didn't. She seems happy with her husband and son though so that's good.
The question is will their son be happy when he grows up?

I had the same problem. I was 4 foot 11 inches and looked about 14/15, I was 23 when I gave birth. I had rude comments shouted at me too. My daughter is 40 years old now. No council house here either. One woman smacked my child saying a child bringing up a child couldn’t do a good job so she’s helping me out. I pushed her away from my child not realising there was a packing rail behind her, she fell on her butt. She threatened to sue me but with around 60 witnesses and cameras in the store in view of her smacking my child she shouted something disgusting and left.
I'm 4'11 as well and just became an adult. When I was taking driver's education my instructor was shocked when I told him I was an adult. Since I'm in the USA I look like a child to them. Everyone here is extremely tall.(´-﹏-`；)

I’m very short. And I mean my height begins with a 4. I don’t have any kind of condition.I have a very adult womanly figure. Large boobs and butt with an hour glass figure. I’ve been told that it’s creepy and inappropriate that my husband is over a foot taller than me. This person said the difference should be half a foot or less. My brother in Christ, do you have any idea how few men (not even just men, woman too) are taller than me by only half a foot? Sometimes I work at middle school sand half the kids there are already taller than me.

Do you have dwarfism? I'm 19 and 4'2" and I have hypochondroplasia. I'm a male though so I don't have as much issue as finding clothes that fit that look age appropriate because I just wear jeans and a t-shirt usually, the other things are a bit of a struggle though, like getting a job and a partner, I dated someone once but we broke up because people kept making fun of them for being with me. Here's to hoping we have good luck in 2024 lol. Have you ever made your own clothes before? I thought about it.
@@420everyminute3 nope. I just have normal kid height as in my arms and legs lenght are equievalent to a child, mostly i fit clothes for 8 to 9 yo. Also my insole for shoes are only 20,8cm in lenght. I still didn't know whether i have hypocon or something else entirely.

She’s completely normal to me. I’m only a couple inches taller than her. All of the women in my family are short. I’ve always looked young, too. It’s not a crime! It’s unfortunate she had cancer, but it’s great she’s doing so well. I’m glad she’s gotten to experience being a parent. ❤ And I always have to cut or roll up my jeans. 😂

What a lovely couple you are! My nieces don’t have any special condition but they look much younger than they are. The eldest is 23 and about to get married. Her 21 year old sister seriously looks about 12, but one day I’m sure it will be an advantage, when everyone thinks they are 20 but they are really 30. God bless you guys.

What a gorgeous couple! I have trouble finding ladies clothing in my size too for the opposite reason that Lyndsey does - I'm 6'2" in height and my feet are too long for most ladies shoes. So I often have to buy men's clothing or oversized ladies clothes which don't fit my slender build. I'm so glad they have a healthy baby boy and a happy life together. May the Lord bless them both richly in the years to come
I don't know what country you are in but I suggest ASOS for tall clothing, they have a good range and are not as expensive as somewhere like long tall sally.

What a lovely family! I understand a tiny bit of how you feel. I'm petite at 4ft 11in, and was less than 100lbs when I got married. It's rare now, but when we first had kids, people couldn't believe I was whatever age I was and had those ages. I'm 42 now, and our oldest, who is turning 22 in June, is also getting married in June. I'm grateful that I have youthful look and don't have to worry about it as I age. But I have a lot of chronic conditions that make me feel older than I am. Fibromyalgia being one and I just had a spinal fusion surgery on my neck. So while I look like I could keep up with my peers, I just can't. Oh, I was also going to say, the whole clothing thing! Yup, super frustrating. I have tiny feet and the shoes that are stylish don't come in my size. I can wear child sized shoes, but again, it's not the right style (but I do save money though!) I no longer can fit in the juniors section because of my current weight, but even when I did, it was hard to find the right style. It's hard finding the "short" size in women's, and sometimes it's not the right length. Again, because of my weight, I have to go up a size to a large sized shirt, but then the sleeves are too long. You looked great in all the things you tried on, especially those pants! They did make you look older, too. I think you dress well for your age for sure. You've got excellent taste and have picked pieces of clothing that fit your personality and stage of life. People underestimate what smaller people can do. A pastor gave me this nickname, "Mighty Mouse." And it's true. So what if we have to use a stool to reach things? We are just more resourceful. You're both very smart and hopefully the comments will get less and less as you get older and your baby gets bigger. God bless you!

To get clothes that are more age appropriate and that will fit you take them to someone who does alterations or teach yourself how to sew and do it yourself. There are many books that can help you learn how to do it. I had to do it for my daughter who is pretty petite, but has a very large chest.

Beautiful couple, but something has to be said about the public's concern being perceived as negative. When I was 15 and 6'2" with scruff I'd date people my own age and get nasty looks , I didn't mind it because I knew it was out of concern and they had good intentions. If someone ever did stop me, I'd just show them my ID, no one ever did. Concerned citizens do alot of good in combating these sorts of crimes, more often than police.

It's frustrating to see other people immediately jump to that kind of claim on this family's relationship when it's clear he'd have fallen for her even if she'd grown properly. When my partner and I first met, he had asked me if I was really 20 at that time, because I looked 15-16, and he's someone who looks a bit older than he really is (a year younger than me). I never had any major illnesses or anything like that, I'm just someone who looks young. I don't think this should be a factor in whether or not I could be a good parent, or if our relationship is healthy. He fell in love with my personality, not because I "look young". It shouldn't automatically be seen as predatory, although we personally have never gotten any comments like that during the time we've been together.

I’m 4 feet, 11 also. I looked very young. I was 29 when I had my son, and a stranger asked if he was mine.😊 I was well into my 30s and people always thought I was 22. I heard that for years. I’m over 50 and my age is catching up. Lots of people my age look very old, I think I look my age now, or close to it.

I’ve always looked younger than my age. When I was 20 I had my first son and I was walking him in his stroller one day and an older lady approached me and asked me why I would drop out of school and have a baby. I laughed and asked her how old she thought I was. She guessed 14-15. I said 20 and I finished high school. 😊 Now I’m 58 and people guess me to be 40-50. I’ll take that 👍🏻😀
My daughter is 31 and looks like a 12 year old. She has Johansson-Blizzard Syndrome and that stunted her growth. She is 4’ 11” and about 100 lbs. She didn’t start puberty until late causing her to have no curves until in her 20’s. We doubt that she will ever have children.

Glad they are living life well. My adopted mother was amazing. Little irish woman, 4ft12, size 8, size 3 feet (my 12 year old atm has size 4 shoes 😂), she would rip anyone's head off that came after her kids with her massive protective personality. Loved flirting with men in their 30s when she went on holidays. She passed a couple years ago at 85 from lung cancer but looked in her 60s until the end with zero surgery but did swap to bottle dye to keep her blonde locks. She was an amazing little firecracker of a woman

I truly don't understand why anyone would think your size or appearance would have any bearing whatsoever on your abilty to parent your child. There are people out there who have been mothers or fathers who have no arms or legs, or a million other difficult conditions. One mother who had no arms was celebrated for doing everything with her feet, another woman, born without limbs, became a mother and was happy, I don't know the details of her day to day life, but she did some talk shows back in the late 80's or early 90's. At the same time, thousands of perfectly "normal" adults abuse and neglect children every day. I think you seem like a very happy, normal young family. ❤
I think you are a loving couple. Congratulations on having a baby naturally and for both of you finding each other. People's assumptions are not correct, and they are wrong to assume. Yes I have spent most of my life with little women because their little and cute, but also they're slightly different. Their hard to find and get looked over, but when you look down and see they're little cute smile, but so what...it is what it is. Got stupid looks from people because i'm dating a five foot girlfriend, 17 years look s like 14 years old, 20 looks like 16, a 147 cm gymnast who is 19 years and looks 12 years. I'm only a year or two older than both. My wife had our babies no problems, and the other lady never married or had children, but she passed recently...were all older now.
