Fact 25 should say that horses can sleep either standing OR lying down. Some horses definitely do sleep lying down.
But they will sleep laying down . I know people whose mouths are bigger than their brains !

Horses sleep lying down.... They can only reach rem sleep lying down. They only doze off when standing because their hips lock into place
