In this week's video, I purchase a 2003 BMW E46 from the Auction (Adessa).
This is the third or fourth car that i purchased from the auctions to flip! This e46 seemed to be a GREAT car. It had two small problems.
It needed a quick coolant fix and AC/ Heat Blower Motor resistor Fix. In this video I tackle issue number one!

My car is leaking a little not sure where is the leak located still going to the car to mechanic wished won't cost me too much money this bmw nothing but headaches done so much work on it cost me thousands

The cooling system on these engines is ridiculous dude. All plastic, nothing but O rings that seal the parts together. I've replaced everything from expansion tank to thermostat, still getting leak. Replaced oil coolant thermostat, leak got worse. Just got new radiator and coolant reservoir mounting plate to complete a %100 cooling system replacement on 2005 E46. Pray to God i dont have anymore leaks. And that bleeder screw, dude. Tell me about it. I'm using plyers to unscrew mine. Plastic and cooling systems should be banned. Especially on this car. Nice job on video!
could be a leaking head gasket if you replaced the whole cooling system and youre still losing coolant. may also want to double check your clamps and hose connections on the stuff you replaced
It’s most likely a simple ring that’s causing your leak, I’ve been having to replace it multiple times, my next step is to try out a steel reservoir for about 180$ . I’m going to have to come up with something myself , it seems one of those problems that just can’t get fixed becuase it’s hella common on this car
@D it was the o ring in the reservoir. The thing is. On these cars. Once you put things together. You can't reuse an o ring. Even it's a month since install. So I bought a whole pack and for the coolant system.
I have same clear coat issue by the top too. Going to Re clear with 4K
What did you pay for this car just curious
To be honest, i've been into e46 since my pops bought the one I own now in 2004 as a high school junior. The coolant leaks on these cars the past decade where generally places you could get to. Now based on the mileage and age they are starting to get into places under the intake manifold and getting way harder to DIY. I have appreciated your video but blaming BMW for cheap plastic parts on a 18 year old car. As frustrating as it is, I know being in the thick of it. That should be retracted. Your car just graduated High School.

yeah wtf its supposed to be phosphate free at least, pretty sure no one uses pride 500 in their e46s lol why not just spend $30 and get bmw oem blue and not risk ruining your whole cooling system?
