English Russian Family Home Destroyed | Not Sure if We Can Salvage Our New Home

Our Home is Completely Flooded and Destroyed Orenburg Russia.
We buy a boat here in Orenburg and get back to our home to start the clean up. Our new home is worse than we thought. We are trying our best to plan to salvage it. But is it worth the effort? The home may need to be written off. Such a financial loss. I show you footage of getting there on the boat and the state of the home inside and out.

So sorry guys, hopefully you will regain your home again in time, unfortunately mother nature causes destruction everywhere in the world, but your home is your palace, it is where you reside together, eat and sleep, it is where you are supposed to feel safe, but this too will pass, and will one day be a distant memory, God bless..
You guys have to take out everything including flooring and place big fans in the rooms to keep the air moving that will help with drying. We had a flooded basement and that did work for us. Greetings from Canada

Есть смерчи. В 3,5 часах езды от Оренбурга как раз, на юге Башкирии. Своими глазами его видела. Снёс кровлю завода полностью. И следом пошёл град с куриное яйцо, восстанавливали машину, все в решёто просто. Небольшие конечно по сравнению с США , но теперь регулярно появляются, и сносят крыши домов. Климат меняется. В России полно торнадо и смерчей, ураганов. Посмотрите по новостям.

I totally understand that this is an extremely difficult situation, emotionally as well as financally. My thoughts: - Does it seem useful to restore the house when an event like this could come again anytime soon (as the area is now - without a dam - unprotected against heavy rain and flooding)? - Get the cracks checked. If the houses' core structure got heavy damage, this would be a huge loss. - For short-time: I guess power and water won't be available, soon? Maybe a chance to get a generator there to run a high pressure cleaner? You need to get rid of the mud before it totally dries out - then it'll get hard like concrete! Also try to remove the plaster and run a dryer asap (you got the point with mold). Humidity must be removed out of the walls. Fingers crossed for a somehow "working" solution! 🍀🍀🍀

Очень больно и тяжело смотреть, что происходит в доме.
На видео видно, что фундамент и стены вроде в порядке. Крыша на месте. Я думаю, что это будет не легко, но всё можно восстановить. Потихоньку. Может газовой колонке дать высохнуть, потом вызвать мастера, разобрать её по возможно заменить какие то детали, наверняка её можно восстановить.Восхощаюсь вашей стойкостью и мужеством. 🙏Всë будет хорошо.
Очень вам сочувствую!!! Держитесь! Как спадет вода, думаю стоит пригласить профессиональную экспертизу по конструкциям дома. Чтобы оценили состояние фундамента и стен и что нужно сделать, чтобы вернуть их в рабочее состояние. Что касается внутренней отделки и косметического ремонта, то это уже не так страшно, хотя и очень обидно конечно...А вы страховали дом?
Lada Niva is a cool car & especially with a snorkel (raised air intake) would be capable wading through the water. Every room you empty & pressure wash the mud from will make things feel a little better. Am glad the brickwork seems okay - good luck :)

I suggest you hire an independent property inspector, who will do a full assessment of the damage. I expect that, as is the case everywhere in the world, insurance companies will try to downplay the damage for a lower payout. For example, in the US, there are agencies that will negotiate with your insurance company on your behalf for the final settlement. I'm not sure about Russia, but I would look into it. Insurance companies stay in business by collecting more in premiums and paying out less.(It shouldn't be expensive to do so in Russia.)

Thank you for showing us the amount of water still laying around as you navigate to and from your devastated home... you and many others would be all experiencing the shock of the experience... I hope that when things dry out... that neighbours collectively get together and have 'working bees' to help with the heavy lifting in clearing out residences... Hopefully, it will built a great community atmosphere of co-operation, as you all navigate this together... Prob at best, if the building is sound, it will be a complete gutting of the house... Thought about building a 2 story home if the opportunity arises? Another way to dodge future flooding? It's a tough, heart breaking time, with your world turned upside down... Ждём комиссию только. В поселок пока только вплавь можно добраться или на Камазе, как только вода сойдут - придут. Вчера приходила бизнес комиссия, т.к. я на режиме самозанятости, оценили утонувшее рабочее место и оборудование.
Рано еще комиссиям ходить, вода еще не до конца ушла, ничего не просохло.

I don’t know how far you are in your process of cleaning up the floor, but just wanted to say this: If you have running water, just clean the floors with a garden hose. This will save you quite some time. All the best, God bless!
Yes we have clean running water. The pump works off the generator. Will pressure wash and hose the mud out.

But that’s good to hear. I’ve worked as a volunteer after one of the worst floods in a part of my country some years ago and clean water isn’t guaranteed after such a flood and I’m glad the infrastructure still works. That’s worth a lot.

Господи сколько ещё воды🤔🙄🥺,бедные люди,наживали и потеряли всё...😥Мартин,к сожалению плесень уже есть и она будет проростать и грибок тоже,от этого не избавится,плесенью дышать опасно для здоровья☝Дом дал трещины,навряд ли что-то можно восстановить,плесень она внутри,а между тем 27 апреля,тут даже незнаешь за что браться?🙄🙄🙄А в сентябре уже будет осень,желаю вам всё это преодолеть и пережить трудные времена💪И помните даже если вы всё восстановите ,то это может произойти снова,а готовы ли вы снова всё потерять? 😢Ой ребята продавайте этот дом когда все будет в порядке (но дело ваше конечно👐) думаю застройщик этого посёлка обманул всех купив заливные поля под строительство (о некотрых землях известно - что они в зоне затопления - даже если на протяжении 70лет не было наводнений, эту информацию надо узнавать отдельно)😢. 🙏Всего доброго вам💝

Yes I do think it will need to be knocked down and rebuilt. Water got in everywhere. The smell dirt and mould will never go. We will try our best though.
Может ли быть еще раз такое затопление? Под дамбой оказалось много домов, можно ли было там строить во времена СССР? Тогда за дамбами и территориями следили лучше, стройка в определенных местах была запрещена. А сейчас строить можно почти везде, а качество дамбы под вопросом

at this time,I think the issues of mould are overblown.Get some huge fans in there and keep them on til everything is dry.. the water level seems to have receded some.I'm surprised the fridge fell over. I feel so sorry for your family

Please, please don't disregard my advice about hidden dangers - mold and bacteria. It might be invisible and looks insignificant, YET, as someone who is chronically ill AFTER severe mold exposure, twice, I'll tell you it took few months before I started experiencing weird symptoms, such as debilitating fatigue, loss of balance upon standing...I am severely disabled now, my nervous system is affected. Just like you and many others in a such situation I knew nothing about dangers of mold exposure and exotic bacteria... and there is no cure but misery.

Думаю, что сначала нужно построить временный домик, времянку, но не сарайку, тем более что сейчас почти лето. А потом посмотреть, что будет с домом вообще. И затем селиться или в отреставрированные части дома или дом, или же просто построить новый дом, и желательно повыше или этажный дом с нежилым нижним этажом, на случай а вдруг снова, раз уж такой водный регион оказался.

BTW, Martyn, you told us in one of the videos published here, that Julia's farther worked in a construction-related field. Due to he is a local resident for a while, had he warned your family in a beforehand about possible red flags the area you selected had, while you were considering to buy the land plot and build the house?
There were 600 houses built in our village alone. We asked the question and no one thought it would ever flood this bad

Seriously you need to have a think about all this. It's as bad as it gets. I'm sure you know that. And even if you spend a fortune doing it properly you'll be living in a building site for years then a slum estate because people will cut corners and their houses will be inhabitable in short order. You'll flood again you know that. All the best.

Не отчаивайтесь, такие крупные наводнения бывают крайне редко, до этого такое было в 57 году. Плотина просто не спасла бы. Но все будет хорошо.
Да, и в 57 не было Ириклы, которую как раз построили в 58, чтобы избежать подобных наводнений…

I understand Yuliya wants to stay close to her family, and it totally makes sense, but I worry about another flooding in your area. Удивляюсь, почему дома такие низкие! Наш дом стрился в 1957 году, но до сих пор стоя на земле, с трудом достаешь до окна! Сил вам и терпения!
Вам кажется что дома низкие из-за формы крыши. Высота стен 3 метра. Сам дом поднят. Вода зашла в дом только на 938 см.

Подать коллективный иск в суд либо на администрацию за то что дала разрешение на строительство в опасном месте, либо на строителей дамбы которая была халтурно построена, либо на сотрудников станции водохранилища, разово сбросившей килотонны воды, поговорите с грамотными юристами на эту тему. Может в судебном порядке получится ещё возместить ущерб

Those floors are stuck on pretty good I’ve seen a lot of houses where the Floors have come up, but unfortunately I think you guys are going to have to get rid of them because if not you’re going to have mould underneath and your kids will be breathing that mould and you don’t want them to get any type of asthma! Are you going to have to really watch everything out and get rid of those floors and put new ones?

Планируете остаётся жить в этом районе? К сожалению весь утеплитель скорее всего сполз вниз, да и газоблока намокли не просохнут до зимы, полы были залиты по грунту тоже со временем просядут
Ваш дом по площади без учета гаража примерно равен большой трехкомнатной квартире... Меняйте, если предложат, даже если что-то получиться сделать в доме: просушить и отремонтировать, вы не сможете в нем спокойно жить... Всегда будет угроза стихии и скрытые дефекты могут вылезти через годы. Живя в квартире спокойно, потом задумаетесь о доме, как о втором жилье... В идеале дом хорошо иметь, когда уже есть городская квартира, тем более семья большая и старший сын уже скоро будет взрслым.
К сожалению, мы не можем жить в квартире с 3мя детьми, прожив 8 лет до этого в своем доме.
Не убирайте ни чего, пусть комиссия всё зафиксирует.

How are you even allowed to go into the catastrophic area? In Florida the National Guard, the State cops and Sheriff's department would guard the entrance to stop everyone until everything is secured and processed. And it takes weeks, sometimes months. In Huawei the entrance to the fire devastated city of Lahaina in last August is still off limits, the owners are still not allowed in and are stopped from rebuilding until funder notice from the local, Hawaiian and Federal government. And as we all know government is slow everywhere on Earth. ❤

Статья: «До зимы нужно высушить дом, чтобы в нем можно было жить». Мой коммент - если дом был затоплен под крышу или на половину - его не высушить и в нем жить нельзя. Можно конечно ценой огромных усилий и денег создать видимость что дом сухой и можно в нем жить. Реальность же такова - такой дом будет опасным для здоровья до конца его существования. И через 2-5 лет а может и раньше его жильцы начнут ходить по врачам а те не будут знать что с ними и почему. И это не только в России. Ураган Катрина в Штатах хорошо продемонстрировал что происходит с домами после их затопления.

О, насчет этого не стоит беспокоиться. В Оренбурге обычно очень жаркое и засушливое лето.
Если пол это что то деревянное или прессовка, надо всё снимать и выбрасывать. Если плитка то можно ещё подумать.
