Why I stay: Living inside the ruins of my Gaza home
Samah Khalid Naji is 18, and along with six other members of her family, is living in the bombed-out remains of their house in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza. It was destroyed in October by an Israeli missile strike.

Those children’s and teenagers are experiencing an unexplainable amount of trauma, still they are still the most kind hearted people. Those parents are seeing their children die. It’s so horrific.

Samah is probably one of the "lucky ones" in Gaza because of the extremely bad conditions everywhere else and people losing life, limb and missing multiple family members and their homes and neighborhoods are completely obliterated. The only way they can recover from this is a lasting peace and a chance to live their life on their own terms rather than be forced to live under the shadow of a destructive "defense"
that what the father said to his friend .. and it's very true. 90% of buildings were targeted. it's really hard to find a Gazan who haven't lost a loved one 😢
