You don't see many 65s this is a beautiful car, cool that he found it , I really wish I could find my 55 that I had in high school
Have always loved 65-7 Chevelles, & this one is just exceptional. What a gorgeous ride! Hats off to the owner. Love the attention to detail.
Definitely one of the most unique chevelles I’ve seen. This car was meant to be owned by this guy.
Agreed and love that he got it back…twice!
Fantastic build. One of the best home builds I've seen.
The paint on that car look like it was dipped in glass. Beautiful build. 65 holds a soft spot in my heart. My dad owns a 1965 tuxedo black SS 4spd 327/350hp. Just a beautiful car. I was adopted at 2 weeks old, and brought home from the hospital in that car.
When I see this car, all I can think of is my dad and me rrrrrollin down the Nys thruway running from Albany to NYC on any given sunny Saturday morning back in 76'..... REST EASY DAD!!!!! I'm 50 now , and it's still so vivid in my mind, it had a certain feel, a certain smell, if u blind folded me and surround me with those elements, I swear without hesitation, I'm back in 76'...... Beautiful build man...
My first car. 1965 Chevelle Malibu. Five hundred dollars. Worked all summer to save that money prior to my senior year in HS.
Actually I think it’s Torch Red, which is brighter than Victory Red. Very popular Corvette color. Amazing garage build.
You may be right, I had torch red on my 98 corvette and 72 firebird, I think victory red went on the ss silverado
Vic red was on vettes n Camaros too
Man that restomod Supercharged 65 Chevelle looks badass brother.
And drives just as good as it looks
@@AutotopiaLA It sure does brother
i love the exhaust.....the red piping on the interior love it....the red gauges, carbon fiber dash omg..gives me goose bumps.....my only blah...is the blacked out chrome....hey its your car and that is all you.. i just like chrome on old muscle.....its beautiful😍
I love what he did with this build and it drives great
Badass all the way around. Respect from Texas 🤠
I feel like the early Chevelles are always so overlooked. Everyone wants the 69-71 fastback style but as a kid my dad had a 64 Chevelle/Malibu with a 350 tunnel ram and I always thought they were the nicest cars ever.
What impresses me the most is the interior work they knocked it out of the park absolutely amazing.
I admire Shawn when he sit in the passenger seat. Always prepared for the worst. 🤣🤣😂 Beautiful build and for me a rare car to see. The color is awesome.
This has got to be one of the cleanest & best executed Chevelle builds that I have ever seen!👍
Agreed
I’m not much of a Chevy guy but that early chevelle body style with that over the top red with black accents and no chrome just works for me. And the race shifter is a great touch 👍
Agreed all the way here
My first car was a 65 Chevelle. I should never have sold it! Two barrel 283 power glide. It was a four door and I didn’t care. I wanted to make it a sleeper. It was restored by my dad. It was inevitable at gas station that guys would say “Nice Chevelle, too bad it isn’t an SS.” 😒 That’s why I wanted to make it a sleeper. Wanted to do twin turbo on the 283 and a 700r4. And I wanted the tag to read “TT 283” 😏 it’s a long story as to why I sold it. This is gorgeous!!!!!!!!! I love what he did with the rear and!!!!!
All those Hoarding classics in those fields this is a must watch video for you
Love that shifter and everything else about this Chevelle, too!
Me too!
Awesome!! Old school lightning rod shifters. Now that's bad ass! I miss my dad's '84 Hurst/Olds. Memories, man!
Awesome build, everything is tastefully done . Thanks for keeping the classic body lines.
Such a clean build
Had no idea California had so many sick muscle cars. Thank you for showing them to us 💯
Between NorCal and SoCal it’s bottomless for great cars
The shifter looks to me to be like an updated "Lightning Rod/His -n- Hers" shifter like you used to see in the Hurst Olds but they were 3spd where this is 4... very awesome!!
Was looking for these comments First thought when I saw ir
Yeah those are nice ... Kilduff makes great shifters....
I guess i should have mentioned, i own s similar setup but for a 4r75w in My 1970 Maverick dubbed "Havik" It has an all aluminum modular 4.6l/5.3l (327 c.i.) sohc. 13.5 to 1 comp ratio, custom intake (dual plenum cross ram) Trick flow 195 heads. It dynoed a tad over 600fwhp. It's set up for dual stage nitrous blast. 175hp each hit. Has ride tech air ride frt struts and rear bags w/ adjustable struts/shocks. Frt suspension is sn95 mustang based, rear is 4 link with watts link(all fabbed by me). It has dome custom stuff like grill, hood, etc.... It's getting paint this Year. Should be on the road 2023. I'm hoping yo cruise to California and be shown on this channel.
64-65 models are by far the best ones imo
This ride is so clean, and so bad ass! From the wheels up…every little detail was selected perfect!
Thanks for making me go look at it and stoked we shot it and I got a few mins of seat time!
This car is a piece of art.
...the car chooses the driver, the driver doesn't choose the car... has to be one of my favorite Chevelle's I've ever seen, well done John!!!
This car is real nice!! Love the red with black chrome.
Just a really well done beautiful build
She's got the wiggle and the giggle going on too!!
Stunning workmanship thruout..
Definitely
What a nice car
Sean, you’ve got the best job bro. This isn’t my color preference, but it’s dope.
Definitely having fun doing this shit! I like the red and black on this one
@@AutotopiaLA I’m a more “subtle” guy insofar as colors man, but keep doing what you’re doing dude!
What an absolutely amazingly well built and beautiful Chevelle! To be able to build something like that in your garage is a serious accomplishment!
He killed it on this thing
Simple, clean, great attention to detail, my kind of build. The anti-theft transmission is the coolest thing I've seen in awhile. Bravo Sir!
Love that shifter set up. Intimidating for sure
Dude! I thought “total bad-ass Chevelle” and then you said it! Awesome build!
It is such a badass Chevelle!
Wow! I fell in love with this car the first time I saw it on line. Can't wait to see this beast in person.

Dude breathed on every inch of that car.Its perfect!✔️👍👍👍
He didn’t leave anything untouched
That’s a gorgeous car. Love the shifter. The color looks great on it as well.
Everything is right on here imo
The bodywork and lines are amazing on that car.
never a fan of that body panel hanging over the rear wheels but what this guy did with that entire front end is amazing
I have a 69 Chevelle but damn this 65 is 🔥🔥🔥🔥 dude!!!
What a gorgeous shoebox! Still recognizable for the factory shape, but the custom touches make this thing so special, elevating the car as a whole. That fuel cell suitcase; perfection!!
Love that fuel cell suitcase! Killer build
any man clappin is a man is impressed!!
Yep. I’m impressed!
This thing was amazing!
Very cool build for sure
I love that transmission, whatever muscle car I get to build will have that same shifter setup just for cool points.
Cool factor goes way up with that set up

Love this build and the story that comes with it!
What an incredible build!! The little details were exceptional. This was one I’ll come back to time and time again👍🏻
So good. Love that fuel cell covering
Love everything about the build as well as your channel!!
I like every car you guys show but my favorite car I see in the garage but wanna see on the street is that gloss black 69 GTS dart.
That’s a special one. Good eye. Only 3900 original miles!!
I love the tri-shift.
The car is tasteful and so well executed, the materials and build quality.Watching you and the owner laugh like teenagers having the time of your lives....you have the best job Shawn.
Thank you both and congratulations!!!

Agreed. He nailed it on this build
This thing is rad. Had one with 396 by Al Leist (sp), TH400, 12 bol, stock paint and interior. Sold for $6000 back in 96…..

Hurst made a shifter kit like that way back in the day .. I still see them on alot of drag racing setups ... puts a whole new spin on grabbing gears..
