  • Should be heavily influenced by the Land Cruiser design. V6 Purists are not happy because it will be Hybrid Only.

    • @@LiquidSm0ke I got ya. The jury is still out on long term reliability for that Hybrid motor and will be for sometime. These peeps reporting crazy mileage on the V6 before they die.

  • Is anybody talking about the reflection in the tailgate of another 6th gen 4Runner? I might like the design better, but not the engine and transmission, I'm not buying it. I'll buy the 2024 4Runner and it will last 50 years. These new smaller engines with the higher compression won't last long. The new transmissions are already having problems.

  • I'm waiting for the Natural gas engines to come out. America has oceans of nat-gas, so much that they flare it off and waste it. Nat-gas is a clean burning energy and would be cheap as hell considering how much America has.

  • Jeff and Company, I could use some real world 4runner advice. My fam is considering nabbing one of these final 5th gens. Narrowed it down to the Offroad Premium, Offroad Premium with KDSS, or the TRDPro. Resale value is meaningful, though we do keep vehicles for the long term. Mostly on-road and light trail performance prioritized. No major offroading or modification intended at this time (perhaps mods in future), but we like to have serious get-out-of-a-jam capability just in case. How would you rate these three options?

  • Wayyyy to early to make a Opinion!

    @phillyfathead@phillyfatheadАй бұрын
    • The opinions are about what Toyota already claimed they would do and have already done. They shrinked the engines down and the compression increased 2-fold on a smaller engine, lol, the gas milage is crap and blown engines will become the norm, I'm out. these tiny over compressed engines are already overheating and blowing up, the new transmissions are also having problems.
