China has its serious social and economic issues for sure, but Europe is a total mess, and the US has a corrupt administration that will not allow anything but the approved narrative to be given as intel to the president. A former CIA agent, Larry Johnson, stated in an interview that for a while now, anyone who gives an honest report that does not fit the wanted narrative will just be removed or never get advanced, so everyone tells the administration what it wants to hear.

  • As someone who will most definitely end up depending on social security and my own savings to survive, the statements he made about not having enough workers to pay into the social security system is very frightening. I do not want to end up depending on my children to take care of me and support me. I worked from the age of 14 up until 4 years ago where I was in a terrible accident and I am no longer able to work. It eats me up inside because I don't like the fact that my fellow Americans now provide for me and I wanted more for myself and my family. Im not the smartest man either and I don't understand geopolitics and economic structures, but I understand that our future isn't going to be as bright as we all thought it would be. Corrupt Politicians filling their own pockets, Social Media destroying our youth and mainstreaming dancing moms and Onlyfans as the way to be, and on and on. I still have hope...but only a small amount.

Identifying structural problems doesn't mean you'll be able to time the exact moment everything falls apart. Again it's fair to criticize him for trying to give a specific timeline; he probably should know better, but I do think you should evaluate his claims of the structural problems independent of his timeline.

Those jobs will leave China for Mexico, even China is investing in Mexico more and more. Why? Because just like America, Chinese businessmen are very interested in obtaining cheap labor and have duty free access to the US. Mexico has I believe the most free trade deals in the world. The inflation reduction act also helps Mexico and China manufacturing of EV's with tax credits (subsidies). I'm not a fan of Biden but economically he is helping set the blueprint to combat China's capabilities.

    • Peter Zeihan has a very well rehearsed presentation that he has been delivering in generally the same format for well over a decade. His presentations are all over KZhead if you go looking for them. He generally says the same thing in most of them with only minor differences based on updated data. He's been doing this same basic presentation for a long time which is why he sounds so confident.

    • @@randyjones3050 Oh yes. You can find videos that where shot in 2013s. Quality is subpar but he's been at it for a while. His dates are more than a bit off but questioning the inevitability is hard, I found his videos in early 2016s. I say this as a skeptic of projections that predict the collapse of entire nation states, given the available data just from the clear net China's overdependance on the world is glaringly clear. He has sone great insights. Read his work after Marshall's, so not a bad follow up.
