  • The Smashing Machine had a HUGE impact on me(and probably A LOT of other guys here) as an young MMA fan, incredible when I think about it. Time goes by so fast. I‘m so thankful for this gem.

  • Mark looks healthier and happier than the last interview I saw him in about 10 years ago. Looks like he's lost a few LBs. Such an straight forward gentleman and pioneer of the sport, as well as of addiction awareness. As an Ohio native and dabbler of sports , I know how big wrestling is here and what beasts guys like Kerr and Coleman are. Smashing Machine is so well done. Is the rock still going to do it? Heard about it a few years ago but seems like nothing happened , maybe due to covid? The Rock is genuinely a nice yet intense guy , like Mark, so I think he'd play him well. What id like to know is How are they going to find a specimen to play Igor ( certainly not someone who skips leg day, lol).

    • It's a great documentary. Been a while since I have seen it. I think it's time I watch it again. I'm also interested in the smashing machine film, but it likely won't be out for a while.

  • I was still going to school, when I discovered that Vale Tudo existed, late 90s. It was illegal back then, so I had to visit a guy at his place to get the VHS video tape!! Lucky enough I purchased the debut of Mark Kerr! Ever since, I have been an avid admirer of Kerr!!! Love the guy. Thank you so much for bringing this awesome person to your podcast❤ I have seen the Smashing Machine so many times, I literally know all lines by heart. It has really made a huge impact on how I view life. Mark talks about his shoulder in the podcast, if you remember, he had this problem documented in Smashing Machine, for which he visited his doctor and of course didn't have time to treat it so he was instead receiving initially Voltaren pills, causing stomach ache, and then injections.

  • MMA does its legends such a disservice, the sport is so young, our legends are younger than Joe Rogan That whole era of 90s/00s MMA are such a wild ride to go through and we have so many great documentaries from the time
