Led Zeppelin is one of the most influential and successful bands in the history of rock, formed in England in 1968 by former Yardbird guitarist Jimmy Page. During its 12-year career, this band published eight albums that in total have sold more of 300 million copies worldwide, becoming classified by the press as a band obsessed by power, volume and melodramatic resources that contrast with the subtlety of other British artists, becoming classified in a simplistic way as a band heavy metal
In this video, through their music you will meet the band that managed to transform the blues, folk, psychedelic rock and hard rock of the 60s into songs with a powerful unique and unmatched sound full of dynamism, lights and shadows, expressiveness and versatility to the point of being a band with highly emotional songs like the music of the great stars of early rock.

Led Zeppelin are the overlords of music, not just rock. They are their own genre. If their music was a quiz show, people would say as soon as you have the answer they change the question. THE GOATS!!!
On radio station 104.3 Stairway to Heaven still is #1 on the 1043 songs on Thanksgiving 4 Day weekend
time doesn't exist for this song :D
They absolutely wore it out
It warms my heart to see whatever stronghold held Robert under conviction, .he is probably the most God fearing musician .thank you father for lifting the vail only to allow him to enjoy and realize everything had a season and now was his time for release and shine in your glory❤❤❤
thanks for your comments bro :D
@@StoriesBehindTheSongs just speaking from the heart can you imagine this place without RP?/he's laid crumbs for others to pick up and acknowledge the meaning of each one ..
Talking about Stairway and the obsession at the time of listening for subliminal messages by playing an album backwards, and preachers pounding the podiums about devils and evil with rock music, etc., I think of how things are and have been in places like Europe and here and the differences. Where the people over there seem to take more in stride. They seem to embrace learning and knowledge, don't freak out over things. Get so scandalized about things. We tend to be somewhat conservative (not talking politics but, as a society), and a bit moralistic and bit backwards. Just an observation. As for the songs of Zeppelin, I have loved this group since I was a teen in the 70s. Their music still speaks volumes and stands the test of time. They are indeed GOATs.
Thank you for your comments, apparently the population of countries with a high rate of religious followers are those who become obsessed with searching for subliminal messages everywhere.
Incredible Did they know off course not Know wht Tht their music is still loved in 2024 That they set a high bench mark Super talented in their .own individual way It's wht renders them Unique💋💋💋💋🎸🕶🌟
and his music will last for a long, long time
@@StoriesBehindTheSongs They are not a "him"--they are very much a *them*! It's why their music ended in 1980 when John Bonham died.
They are all so humbled they never did it for themselves .that's God using them as a vessel .have you ever seen a group do humbled?/
This band transcends what a supergroup was, 4 extremely talented musicians. 2 of which cut their teeth in the studios working with other acts. Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones were very sought-after studio musicians . The talent level of just those 2 alone was enormous. Add a voice like Robert Plant , then add arguably the quintessential template for what a rock drummer should sound like. You get a once in a lifetime anomaly. When they went on tour, they sold out shows night after night. Stadium record breakers Tampa 1973 and Pontiac Silverdome 1977 ( 88 thousand plus and that is for a single act). Did they have issues, yes. If you are on top of the mountain, you can't stay forever. Even now, they are still popular even with younger listeners. Timeless some of their songs are. We may never have another Led Zeppelin. But that's okay. We are still enjoying what they have accomplished.
Thank you very much for your comment and contribution, it is very valuable :D
I was born in 1967 i thonk zep hit in 1968 by 1972 i was listening to zep my Dad was a musician and he turned me on to all this great music at a young age .he once said have you thought about playing the piano ,and i said nowhy would i want to do that when i could play drums like my hero Bonham ofcourse i never reach the talent level of Bonham but not too manyhave i ve done ok self taught heavily Bonham influencad
Thank you for sharing your story friend, many of us are inspired by these great legends to learn to play :D
I love all these songs but Ten Years Gone is one of the best songs.
So is The Rain Song. These were the songs that were played on the radio, their other amazing songs either weren’t, or hardly ever played on the radio.
Gracias por tus comentarios, tienes razón faltaron varias canciones en este TOP
Thanks for your comments, maybe we'll make a video with 20 songs instead of 8 just for this band :)
Who ever does not know the name Jimmy Page is not of this Planet
It is a name that will last for generations :D
Jimmy page you're right he's from a place where old souls such as myself and a few others reside , we're still trying to understand the world today .....we don't fit ....never will thank God ❤
That name will be heard throughout every class, study, art of music until eternity..,..,..
HEAVY ROCK HARD ROCK BLUES AMPLIFIED ROCK FOLK ROCK
It's just the Led Zeppelin style :D
Dude, the River Thames is not "the outskirts of England"...
Ok I will check it
It runs right through London.
But his house was.
@@vlastakadric4206 But the phrase itself is nonsensical! I assume it meant "the outskirts of London" but that is not what it says. And yes, while the Thames does run right through London, it runs through sleepier towns and beautiful rural countryside as well.
The first time I did mushrooms we put on my Zeppelin IV cd on repeat and I couldn't listen to When the Levee Breaks for years afterwards.
I believe that the song was composed with some quality mushrooms :D
What heartbreaker
added to list for new video :D
This video sounds like it was written (and narrated) by AI. Whether or not, it could have used a good editor or fact checker. So many little (and big) goofs, like the suggestion that any of the lyrics of "Stairway to Heaven" were written at Aleister Crowley's former property in Scotland (which Jimmy Page did own for a time). Robert Plant has said (more than once) that the lyrics for "Stairway" were written mostly at Bron-yr-Aur, and finished up at Headly Grange right before he recorded the vocals. The most egregious error, of course, is the mangling of the name of Robert Plant's late son--who was Karac Pendragon, not Karac Pendra. I did appreciate some of the footage and still photos of the band, quite a few of which I have never seen before. Other than that...about what I expected.
Thank you very much for your comments, the writing of the script is reviewed by various media and you are right in some places the name is Karac Pendragon and in others they summarize it as Karac Pendra, only the voice is A.I. to guarantee pronunciation but for everything else we strive to make it quality content. Thanks for watching and commenting :D
Wheres that confounded bridge!?
maybe near london :3
Heavy Rock, not Metal! Wot happened to "Ramble On?" Did I sneeze and miss it?
Thanks for your comments, you're right, some songs are missing, maybe we'll prepare a larger video :D
@@StoriesBehindTheSongsYour Welcome😊
@@trfmamurphy9885 Thanks :D
I agree heavy rock, not metal, & they hated that term.

Promo`SM ❣️
They are just stories behind the songs
I LOVE ZEPPELIN BUT JIMMY PAGE WAS ON HEROIN
Whenever you become famous and a millionaire you easily fall into excesses :D
@@StoriesBehindTheSongs Read the books.
He was not on heroin the whole time. From what I have heard, he was on heroin for about 7 years, starting around '76 or '77. He finally got off the stuff in 1984. I lost a lot of respect for him when I heard about the heroin (years later); I give him a little respect back for getting off it, at least.
@@patriciashearouse1449 Not all of "the books" are to be trusted, unfortunately. Better to read or listen to the interviews of the band members themselves.
What's your point 🤔🖕
They play led Zeppelin now at Walmart
It is music that resists the passage of time :D
That’s funny…💁🤣😂🤣😂🤣
As they should
FFS, just making crap up
nop, is real information
Troll much? 🤨
All good info, I enjoyed the video! I’ve listened to Zeppelin since 1971, saw them live in ‘75. L.A. Forum. Best concert ever!
plant hates stairway a lot
He came to hate it after singing it seriously a number of times, and then felt like he couldn't sing it without feeling fake.
