    • It's not mining, this started long ago, someone started placing items against the walls to help keep water out so they could go all the way down to the money pit it failed, most mines are built in rock not mud, if you hit mud in a mine you go somewhere else and make a new tunnel in the mine

  • I hope they're not counting on finding passable tunnels. Way back several seasons they set off dozens of explosives. I thought it was a really stupid move. Even if the charges were not very deep you can bet there was more than enough intense ground vibration to totally collapse any tunnels, even if they really existed which I seriously doubt as well.

  • Love this programme, if they never find the treasure, they have found a lost history of Oak Island, it is fascinating. I do hope their really is a ship in the swamp, what a find that would be.

People say vikings had no written history WRONG runes were used in a alphabet and before that they used a form of line writing called ohgram script Ericsson was from Greenland and Greenlanders were in demand as captain's of the amazing viking longships such was their Navigation and reading the waves currents and stars were famous among vikings

    • Idk about this specific one but a treasure hunter found an old sunken ship off Australia (I think) and found a few million dollars of gold/treasure and when he told the government about it (which he thought was the right thing to do) they ended up pretty much taking all of it except for a couple pieces

    • The Brothers will get their Pictures taken with it, and so will everybody else & the treasure will wind up in several Museums behind Plexiglass Bullet Proof cases & TAXES WILL BE ADDED to their value. I don't think there's going to be any real CASH PROFIT when it's found,...although The Brothers will probably get a Large Reward for it and ONE ITEM to keep forever.

They have a pretty good idea on what time it was buried based off of wood samples pulled out of the ground carbon dated to the late 1600’s to the early 1700’s
