Positive. The cpu is 8core so it oerforma quite good. Depends on resolution of your videos. If it’s 4k it’s great. If it’s 8k juste forget about it (Italian Gangster voice) So mostly yes but it’s situational.

Hey bro I know the battery life on gaming laptops are not so good and I wanted to know if is a problem if I have the laptop plugged all the time
Definitely that’s one of the reason’s why battery get’s destroyed in few years. Because it’s always on 100%. It’s intentional. They put too much powerful components for too little battery size and then you can play only 30minutes while destroying battery being plugged in. Best way is to use silent mode on laptops. That’s the way power outtage is way less and you can enjoy longer battery life.
is ur fps not capping when its plugged in?
It’s in the settings of nvidia. And or Windows. So look at these settings. Restore defaults or change the qdvanced display srttings to be 120/144hz.

Hello, Congratulations on getting accepted. Well first of all I thing as a design student you would definitey get everything from this gpu. Not the best battery life but cpu and gou would be perfect to draw 2d or 3d and etc. I kindly recomment this laptop since it’s powerful enought but not too expensive. You eould definitely buy this. If you really want to go into apple eco system I suggest you buy 1299$ macbook air 15” but that’s going to be over 2.5 times lower graphics performance.

@@CallmeRichard0925 dude if you got the budget go for legion 5 slim better peformance and better built quality matching the macbook and if your budget is still tight atleast go for nitro 5 or dell g15 slightly better build quality than this , not that im shitting on msi but this msi entry laptop chassie and overall build quality is horrible the hinge is fragile no metal frame on a display and all the horror stories , no offense to the unboxing video its a great unboxing video showing people what they got when they receive the laptop but if youre planning to use this as student and keep using that lid everytime you go into a class ... heed my word be gentle with it treat it like new born baby ... my friend and i have suffered from this model in 2020 , Just remember theres a reason theyre cheaper than the other entry laptop brand , Or ... just get a macbook thats also an option.
I bought MSI GF 3 a few days ago and have a few questions. SO: 1. Why at a temperature of 90 degrees Celsius the CPU and GPU fan keeps the speed at 2500 rpm (no throttling)? 2. What is the normal temperature range for this laptop in load mode (games) and without it?

Ok. To start. You need to go to performance mode and auto manage the fans. Just go and configure it. on performance mode there is settings and you’ll fond the abswer there. The normal temp is 80-90c on balanced mode and 75-80 on silent mode.
90c is fine it’s laptop with single fan after all if you still worried buy a coolid pad fanfir additional

I actually hate fans. You really do not need it if you have this laptop with rtx4050 gpu
In India we have i5 12450h with rtx 4060 (msi thin gf63) but i didnt found any review on it...do you think i should buy it??
It’s just 45watt so I suggest sticking with rtx 4050. Because you do not get full difference

Ok so temperatures on Silent node is amazingly kow. Stays on ~70 so like a gaming laptop it’s really amazing. But battery is just too little to play games on battery mode. Just plug it in if possible ALWAYS.

Hey So in Tunisia msi gf63 is the only thing avaible on stock, i asked for an asus tuf 15 But they said it wont come in for next 5 Mounths. I want to know and your personal opinion (yea your opinion matters x) ) If i should either wait for the asus or just go for the msi. Games i would be playing are apex legends, brawhalla and hìgh required fps roblox games. Side note i dont like to wait

So this was 1299€ but us price is 1099$ and with 13th gen Intel cpu. Bruh. Just GO and get it. Because it works like a charm on silent mode. And when you need performance you put it on balance mode and you play elden rings on high on 59-60fps. This gpu and cou is a beast.

Yes you are definitely sufficient with i7. More mHz and better gaming performance with hotter tenps but you always can use silent mode. It’s a really good laptop with choices that it gives you in software manager.

Silent mode about 70 balance on 85-89 and performance on 90-95 depends on your needs.

Gaming laptops go to 95-90 and only then thermal throttle. So indeed it is. Very very good to be only at 75-80 on balance mode.

It’s rtx 4050. 3050 is a good one but a 33% slower.

Owww yes. Elden Ring, Fortnite, Forspoken and they are alllll amazing on 1080p. Gpu is legit! 60~ fps on all games on max settings with dlss 3 on

Shooters I'll try battlefield 2042 / cod modern warfare 2 / arma reformer / insurgency sandstorm / hell let loose RPGs Outward / Skyrim / tainted grail fall of Avalon but is early access already has bad pref on desktop rtx 3070 / Icarus etc. There are Manny more haha that I'll try.

Good question. I’m not too familiar with DPI but my suggestion would be Mx Master 3s with logi bolt adapter. By doing that your mouse would be using wifi + bluetooth and ir might be best cost/performance. If you are interested only in wited mouses then go with Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum
