The amount of times the Courtyard crew camped out is just hilarious.
2:04:10 I still don't understand why they made it so that using the key on the Courtyard chests deletes the CC trinket you're supposed to get from them, like they actively had to choose to implement that 😭 The game is so malicious and yet still one of my favorites lol
Build the cartographer's camp first! It boosts your loot and helps you all across the board, whether high light or low. It pays for itself in virtually no time, and in some cases can save your life.

YES there's another DD1 vod waiting for me :D I was out for 14 hours with work and commute combined, and I'm so ready to pass TF out 20 min into the VOD and rewind it several times over the week to get all of it.

Watching this series to get to sleep and it has inspired me to do 2 things: - craft a tower heavily inspired the Guild for my wargaming table - finally pick up DD1 as a player and actually play it. I only do 1 mission a day but I really like the slow approach for this as that fits perfectly into schedule

I know better than to backseat this man, love him and his content! I honestly think that me and quite a few people don't really consider the whole "retreat is an option" thing very much. The penalties are massive, but can actually save an irrational member of your party, or a bleeding out crusader. I shoulda done that earlier today with my Grave Robber cause she ended up being masochistic and killed herself on DD, even though I technically could have tried to leave the battle. Regardless I hope you win out this series by the end of it, we Bearlieve in you!

It's pretty darn funny when you yell at chat, especially since I'm on KZhead, and can't see the comments ^^ I also feel for you, man the game is BS sometimes, but the best parts are when you navigate your way through some really sticky situations. Rooting for you man, beat that damn game!

Even after all these years, I still hate the Chevaliers so very much. Their ability to casually stun the entire party and keep them locked in that state is absurd. One of them is totally fine, but those few encounters with three, accompanied by a smaller guy who can guard them, is truly evil. A fully prepared team of heroes, equipped with only the best items, can be wiped out so fast by them. Sure, they have their attack which does not stun, but it still deals crazy amounts of damage and bleed. If the numbers are not absolutely in your favour, you are just done. I remember bringing a new team to the Courtyard about five times in a row, just because we kept almost wiping on a single group of these enemies, over and over. And after they were finally defeated, I still had to leave again because of how close to dying everyone was. All them Chevaliers can go to hell.

I think you are downplaying experienced troops because they save so much money. They are maxed out on skills and equipment for their level when they come.
Glad that Viscount run paid off - and in a virtuous way. Courtyard maps are way too long and painful just to watch. I see why they made it that way, but it sure is one of my least favorite parts of this game.
