  • Sacha impressed. She ran out of steam having to push herself against a top player. This shows her that she’s not super far away. Just gotta get to that little extra that is so elusive.

    • `kinda disappointing that she lost. She was fantastic in set 2 and early set 3.

  • Sasha was hitting winners like Ostapenko. Good win for Coco.

  • It’s delightful to hear the sound of the ball reverberating throughout the arena, feet furiously shuffling along the clay, and crowd’s reaction.

  • Both girls need to develop a backhand slice, and SV was playing above her ranking!

  • That forehand and service will not allow Coco to reach her full potential, unfortunately

  • Good test for Coco! Streaky at times but solid nonetheless

  • 15 double faults is insane. No way she will get away with this against the likes of Elena Rybakina

  • Coco won based on fitness. Vickery ran out of steam

    • That may be true, but tennis is a sport where endurance is necessary. Had Vickery not ‘ran out of steam’, she would've won then, but she didn't. That's the point. It's not just about how well and precisely you can hit the ball, your fitness and endurance matters, that’s what makes you a good athlete. Just my opinion though - it's fine for anyone to disagree 😅

  • Wow, what a match! I like this channel but I'm curious as to what the guy is talking about at the end. What is written on the board?

  • Yes but CoCo had 14 dbl faults which I have never seen her or a player before. Having back her other coach should strengthen her play.

  • How in the world is CG #3 in the world??? Alcaraz is #3 also. I do not get it. Is Vikkery a qualifier?

    @djl9647@djl9647Ай бұрын
    • Because she worked hard to be no 3. She earned it so deal with it. For your info she's likely to be number 2 soon.

    • She had a purple patch in the USA last year and everything was clicking for her then. Now she seems to have taken her coach’s “winning ugly” strategy to a new level. Still finds a way against lower ranked players but it seems to be a painful one. 15 DFs too, her serve used to be good, not sure what happened.

    • because of crazy easy draws (since she became pro) and that "purple patch" another poster referred to

  • The lack of basics have made the WTA so boring. No footwork, out of place, no volley skills, no slice backhand, no angle shots…etc

    @rattata30@rattata30Ай бұрын
    • It’s true. Most girls just hit hard from the baseline these days. Something similar is happening at the ATP but there are young guys who seem to know how to volley like Alcaraz and Rune

  • Sasha has such a nice heart, she's always smiling and happy and always smiles at the net during the handshake. I use to train with Bill adams in Florida and she use to come to the courts sometimes to train wit us and she has always been a happy girl, always pleasant and nice and ofc very talented. Nice to see she never stopped playing and has continued to elevate.. keep it up Sachia !!
