Add Harbor Freight LED lighting to an old Miter Saw

Add a $2 LED light to an old Miter Saw to make more accurate cuts. The key parts are extracted from the Harbor Freight light and mounted into the saw (mostly using epoxy). Some soldering is required. A pushbutton is added to the handle to turn the LEDs on while positioning the wood for a cut. Operation is demonstrated near the end of the video. Tools and materials are listed at the end.

  • i made something like that with different lights. But the lights are too far from the blade. So while I have a shadow, its too skinny. And like this, by the time I see the shadow, the blade is on the wood, and I might as well use the blade at that point.
