We have a Logosol F2+ Chainsaw Mill and tonight we just cut a 1 5/8 Red Oak slab. I let my wife have the MS660 and it was something that she and I will cherish and remember. Now it is time to get serious and make some lumber!!! Making some serious memories together.

This jig is a smart tool to use . It cuts neatly and fast produce timbers really love to have one but unfortunately many companies here don't sell this product here in Lae City PNG... I believe smart timberjig will be very helpful to have.
Große Säge, kleiner Stamm, weiches Holz - glaube dass das ein cooles Teil ist, das auch funktioniert. Aber eher was für ab und zu, oder "Bastel Arbeiten". Für nen Stapel Bretter ist die Motorsäge doch zu umständlich. Aber um mal ein Brett aus nem nem schönen Holz zu sägen ist es sicherlich ne Überlegung wert. Werde ich mir mal live anschauen. 😉✌

@Joshua Heart you should buy a special ripping chain, and there should be sharpening instructions with it.
Does the jig block the exhaust? I know other chainsaw mill attachments do and cause your saw to get hot faster
I have one of these and it’s a really useful bit of kit, most of the time I use it with a 40cc echo saw with a 15” bar and a straight filed chain, yes it’s not the fastest thing but for occasional use and being way more accurate than freehand it’s brilliant. I’ve never done the whole brackets and rails thing for set up and usually just screw a scaffold board to the log for a first cut then once there’s a flat surface the rest can be done without any other guides 👍🏻

Not a bad attachment, however bar flex is an issue as the bar tip is not supported, wider slabs or boards are a definite NO, Even narrow boards cut from Aussie hardwoods can result in inconsistent thicknesses, which may not seem a problem however aim of the end result is to have dimensional lumbar cut as accurately as possible , In my opinion (for what it is worth) Alaskan chainsaw mills are a really good alternative, any comments greatly appreciated , safe cutting 👍👍

Probably pine or spruce. I thought the same thing. I think it would be quite different with hardwoods

I'd guess the video was sped up x2 when sawing. My Alaskan mill with pro Husqvarna cuts about half that fast with a sharp ripping chain.
looks easy with soft woods, Ive never used 1 but I reckon a lot longer to cut a Redgum log per plank.
