It's probably a nostalgia thing, hence all the older people, and I don't think they come to order Ice cream. If I had thousands of dollars to waste flying around the country, I'd be eating at much better restaurants. That's also the trend nowadays: McDonalds is considered too expensive and unhealthy, especially the chicken nuggets. I eat at Jack in the Box all the time, and I collect receipts and get a free ultimate about once a week.

I grew up in Roswell! It’s so cool to see my sleepy little hometown McDonald’s get some love! The streetlights along Main Street are alien heads and the Walmart has some alien theming too! It’s everywhere through out the city! 🛸

Do you plan on doing a second part of this series? I know there are more than just 5 unique locations in America. There's the Rock N Roll McDonald's in Chicago, the log cabin McDonald's in Wisconsin Dells, and Hayward, WI. Sedona, AZ has a McD with turquoise arches, Independence, OH has a fancy McD's, Barstow, CA has a McD's as a train station, Asheville, NC has a McD's resembling a ski lodge.

@@Th3Watch3r You do when it comes to fast food. While it's true McDonalds will be better in the UK, the food there (in general) is nothing to brag about. It is nothing like what you can find in continental Europe or parts of Asia. Even the States makes better tasting food.

When I went to Florida my parents and I passed the world’s largest entertainment McDonald’s and we looked at it in absolute awe - we were too busy to go inside but my goodness is it cool in there…. We’ll have to go pay a visit if we go back and are in the area!!!!

4:00 Haven't been there in awhile, they changed the interior. It's more sleek, well the color. It used to be more mostly painted white. The black and white, and gray color does make it updated but still fits the trim. Customers were allowed upstairs and sometimes the place was packed. It looks like this place underwent the same renovation as most places.

Dylan, I have to admit that this trip you took is quite enlightening as to the state of Mickey D’s. I loved the main headquarters in Chicago (and yes, I have eaten at my local McD’s in a full tuxedo, so suits as such are not uncommon to the company) and it’s the one place that the employees should be better dressed than the usual uniforms. I think I loved the Roswell NM restaurant because they carried out the theme all the way through, but the “fancy” McD’s was a little too stuffy to suit my style. The best one however is Orlando because outside of Chicago, it’s the only Mickey’s where you can still get pasta as well as pizza. Overall you did great with your trip. But if you get to Hawaii, there you’ll find some menu choices that are very unique to the Hawaiian McDonald’s franchises alone. Some of those are really tasty but have weird names. Great job on this trip including Cosmic! (Hope they have plans to bring one to Spokane soo).

you should kick off a round 2 of unique McD's by visiting the one in Freeport, Maine - it's not quite the mansion one, but it's a smaller version. They even have a second floor reserved for special functions.

The fritessaus in the Netherlands is fantastic. The burger had some fancy cheese and ham-like bacon and fried onions. I went the last day I stayed in Amsterdam. It's a mayo type dipping sauce for fries with herbs and it's more sweet than traditional mayo. Went to one in Madrid- had shrimp salad with large shrimp and olive oil... And I remember McPizza in Canada around in the late 80's early 90's. It was surprisingly good!

The old McDonald's building down the hill had an aquarium, but then they took out the fish, water and stuff and put in plastic colorful balls for some reason. I also remember some video game poles underneath the playground equipment and I believe that was my introduction to Mario. It was rebuilt around 2006 and I was never a big fan of it. There was also a McDonald's location in another city somewhere close to where I live that had different kinds of ice cream like at Ben and Jerry's. Every time I went there, I got chocolate ice cream with peanut butter chunks.

Not sure if this makes it special - but the McDonald's in Edison, NJ has the MOST consistently crispy French fries of any McDonalds I've ever been to. The building also still has the 80's/90's design I remember growing up with!

the one in West Loop Chicago (Hamburger University) is the headquarters restaurant and has international menu items that rotate weekly. That alone makes it the coolest one since they demolished Rock n Roll McDonald's downtown and put up the boring two story glass one a few years ago.

It's probably a nostalgia thing, hence all the older people, and I don't think they come to order Ice cream. If I had thousands of dollars to waste flying around the country, I'd be eating at much better restaurants. That's also the trend nowadays: McDonalds is considered too expensive and unhealthy, especially the chicken nuggets. I eat at Jack in the Box all the time, and I collect receipts and get a free ultimate about once a week.

Do you plan on doing a second part of this series? I know there are more than just 5 unique locations in America. There's the Rock N Roll McDonald's in Chicago, the log cabin McDonald's in Wisconsin Dells, and Hayward, WI. Sedona, AZ has a McD with turquoise arches, Independence, OH has a fancy McD's, Barstow, CA has a McD's as a train station, Asheville, NC has a McD's resembling a ski lodge.

@@Th3Watch3r You do when it comes to fast food. While it's true McDonalds will be better in the UK, the food there (in general) is nothing to brag about. It is nothing like what you can find in continental Europe or parts of Asia. Even the States makes better tasting food.
When I went to Florida my parents and I passed the world’s largest entertainment McDonald’s and we looked at it in absolute awe - we were too busy to go inside but my goodness is it cool in there…. We’ll have to go pay a visit if we go back and are in the area!!!!

4:00 Haven't been there in awhile, they changed the interior. It's more sleek, well the color. It used to be more mostly painted white. The black and white, and gray color does make it updated but still fits the trim. Customers were allowed upstairs and sometimes the place was packed. It looks like this place underwent the same renovation as most places.

Dylan, I have to admit that this trip you took is quite enlightening as to the state of Mickey D’s. I loved the main headquarters in Chicago (and yes, I have eaten at my local McD’s in a full tuxedo, so suits as such are not uncommon to the company) and it’s the one place that the employees should be better dressed than the usual uniforms. I think I loved the Roswell NM restaurant because they carried out the theme all the way through, but the “fancy” McD’s was a little too stuffy to suit my style. The best one however is Orlando because outside of Chicago, it’s the only Mickey’s where you can still get pasta as well as pizza. Overall you did great with your trip. But if you get to Hawaii, there you’ll find some menu choices that are very unique to the Hawaiian McDonald’s franchises alone. Some of those are really tasty but have weird names. Great job on this trip including Cosmic! (Hope they have plans to bring one to Spokane soo).

you should kick off a round 2 of unique McD's by visiting the one in Freeport, Maine - it's not quite the mansion one, but it's a smaller version. They even have a second floor reserved for special functions.

The fritessaus in the Netherlands is fantastic. The burger had some fancy cheese and ham-like bacon and fried onions. I went the last day I stayed in Amsterdam. It's a mayo type dipping sauce for fries with herbs and it's more sweet than traditional mayo. Went to one in Madrid- had shrimp salad with large shrimp and olive oil... And I remember McPizza in Canada around in the late 80's early 90's. It was surprisingly good!

The old McDonald's building down the hill had an aquarium, but then they took out the fish, water and stuff and put in plastic colorful balls for some reason. I also remember some video game poles underneath the playground equipment and I believe that was my introduction to Mario. It was rebuilt around 2006 and I was never a big fan of it. There was also a McDonald's location in another city somewhere close to where I live that had different kinds of ice cream like at Ben and Jerry's. Every time I went there, I got chocolate ice cream with peanut butter chunks.

the one in West Loop Chicago (Hamburger University) is the headquarters restaurant and has international menu items that rotate weekly. That alone makes it the coolest one since they demolished Rock n Roll McDonald's downtown and put up the boring two story glass one a few years ago.
