#restoration #revolver
Here is another restoration of an old smith & wesson revolver. This revolver was referred to as the "lemon squeezer" due to its action and trigger pull. This model is the safety hammerless chambered in .32 S&W short. Of course if you know our channel we always test fire our firearms. There are alot of awesome projects coming up for the holidays. I hope you enjoy the video and consider subscribing for more restorations. AS ALWAYS THANKS FOR WATCHING!

  • have one identical to this, believe the last patent date on mine was october 4th 1885. Belonged to my grandfather. He paid 12 dollars for it. He broke a set. There were two with consecutive serial numbers. One had counterclockwise rotation and the other had clockwise rotation. There were only 25 of these sets made and he broke one of them. Said he did not trust the right hand wheeler because it turned the wrong way. He gifted it to me when I was 19. i am now 70.

  • Nice work. S&W must have had a top quality batch of steel to use back then given the minimal amount of surface pitting on that one. Good to see these things come back to life after years of neglect or from being forgotten altogether.

  • Im guessing you use walnut shells for a sand blasting median since its not as abrassive as steel grit or glass beads. Great job cleaning up that .32 cal pocket pistol i have and iver Johnson and a Harringtom and Richardson both made about the same time in .32. And my 1907 Colt Police Positve .38. Thanks for sharing.

  • You ever nickel plate any of your restorations? Would be cool to see a sick revolver nickel plated. Just found your channel and love the restorations and that you actually shoot them.

    • I would try paint thinner first and make sure you do a small part first to see if it damages it. Then lacquer thinner if that doesn't work. Be careful and thanks for watching!

  • Another good post/restoration. Wish you would do a post on how to select a project, what tools / chemicals / procedures to use and so forth. What to do when things go wrong would also be helpful. A DUPLEX LIVE STREAM POST might be nice. Would you consider selling or ruffling off any of your restorations in exchange for new project materials, or money going to worthy humanitarian causes ?

    • Thank you very much, I like the ideas but, I can't go live because youtube won't allow that, I can't raffle anything because it would be a logistical mess. As far as selling I can't promote that on here but, I appreciate all the creative ideas. I can help you with what tools, chemicals and procedures to use and do. Just email me at austin.kinzler.1@outlook.com. Thanks for watching we appreciate it!
