- I agree with your statement but our Desi Indian dogs don't have great food drive which helps in training in positive way with luring.They can't work like malinois for 5 hours continuously.

Labs are the most gentle and innocent breed. They are very much fond of eating but if u train them properly, they won't go near the food, no matter how hungry they are. They use to follow each and every command if u train them properly.

- We used to set free our German Shepherd at 6.00 p.m and lock at 6.00 a.m. Once I went to lock her at about 5.30. She was already in the kennel. The puppy was missing and she was crying inside the kennel. Tears rolled down her cheeks. I asked her "Leedro! where your puppy?", and she was still crying. And then she got up and started walking. I followed her nearly 200 metres then she dug under a neem tree and showed her baby's dead body. Her puppy died at that night's heavy rain. She was crying after bidding farewell to her baby.

why doesn't the armed forces use Indian dogs? Highly intelligence and adaptable breed. Will also age slower than the labradors who are prone to multiple illnesses

- Stray dogs aren't good for tactical purposes German Shepherds, Labs and K9 are way better

- They mostly use a labrador There are 3 things to be considered 1) the dog must have a great senses 2) the dog should've a good physical strength 3) the dog must have a long term memory (some dogs like Rottweiler have doggy ADHD, hence unfit for the job as search dogs) *The balance of 1,2&3 make up the best dog for the army and police, whereas 1&2 are imp for security dogs*

Clearly shows that the labs understand the routine better... Labs a a breed have a slightly higher EQ I feel.
