They are beautiful, amazing animals, but they look so sad. They need to be back out in the wild.
They look & act so under stimulated, board out of their minds just sitting there. In the wild they’d be active and stimulated they’re incredibly intelligent
In the wild the silverbacks eat, sleep & mate. They live a sendertary life.🧡

I forget sometimes that Nene is Shabanis wife with an approx 24 year age difference, given their birthdates.
It seems to me the silverback was favoring his left arm as though it was in pain. I don't know diddly about great apes but I thought this might also have had something to do with him walking bipedly as well.

@@sonjavandam1306 I saw the Nene attack video-it was hard to see. I think Nene was only protecting her son. But time goes on, Annie sure let's grandma know about it. Even-steven in my book. I like them all regardless, it's just their thing.
The silverback does it to all member of his family, not just her It's his job to keep everyone in the same place to prevent an attack from predators or other apes(in the wild) The concept of being "nice" doesn't apply here

Grandma Nene doesn't trust Shabani because he has really messed with her in the past and she always gets pissed off when he does. They have a very dysfunctional relationship.
I think he does that to get her to exercise, otherwise she would be dead by now. That's what I think.🤔
