Small dogs can do damage as well it's all in the training but at least you know they scare you because they would definitely pick up on that and bully you.
He is the most spoiled, protective, well taken care of, silly dog ever. I want to be his friend 💛

@@AnastasiaBeaverhousn Get serious! When I visit my daughter with her 4yo female Cane Corso and my two grandsons, ages 3 and 1, they all get praised, hugged and given treats. They are happy and eager when grandpa comes to visit. That isn't weird.

The first thing i notice when i got my cane about a month and a half ago( he was a month old )was how smart he was and how well he's taken to training , now i'm honestly a pit lover and so I didn't know if this was going to be a good fit but I'm so glad he's part of our fam. Oh one more thing he's a bit possesive of my pit I had to break him from trying to tell me I can't touch or pet her cause she's his girl now but like you i've been stern about certain behaviors and i gotta say he's a good breed and a good dog
Wife and I had a female cane corso. She lived 11 years. She traveled with us alot and was absolutely fine being indoors. After a walk on a trail she was delighted to lay on the floor in a fluffy dog bed. Now I have two Turkish kangals. These dogos are on a entire different level. They are way more destructive if not taken out alot. Way harder to train and the power is absolutely INSANE!!! Cane corsos are easy to deal with.
Do you miss your Corso? I drove with my Corso when he turned 2 years to California. I was the one complaining about the trip. He did amazing during this trip. I cannot imagine life without him. I love Zeus so much.
Recently purchased a female Cane Corso. This is my first time owning a dog LOL. God has blessed us with a loving corso.

I love your videos and I have been a fan of this breed for at least a decade. A lot of people don't realize how important socializing a large breed dog is and you do a very good job of showing the results as well as how to do it. I also love seeing how he plays with the babies!
This is the most positive video I've seen on the pros and cons of owning a cane corso. I didn't hear anything not true based on my experience.

Your fur baby is beautiful. One of my cousins has a Cane Corso. Every word yiu say is true. Her dog is a sweetheart too. He is large and powerful. An air purifier can help keep the air in anyone's home smell fresh and nice. All the best to you and your family. Loved your video. You can see he is well loved and cared for. Girl you got me with the pajamas for the dog 🐕 you get an a+ for that I think that’s adorable 🥰 usually people dress up little dogs 🐩 but to see a large breed in pajamas that’s to cute 🥰.
We love our Cane Corso, he does all the things that your dog does. 5 am in the morning, he takes his paw and hits the bed, "I gotta pee"!

I enjoyed your insight on Cane Corsos I have a 12 week male and it is a challenge. He is displaying dominance already like you said you have to nip that in the bud early. We go back and forth with him minding my commands. Thank you for this video and Ghost is gorgeous!
He will challenge you. My first year with him we fought everyday until he realized that I am the boss and even now at 5 and a half, he will still try it but not like in the beginning.
Yes nip it in the butt before he gets bigger. Don't let him sleep on your bed, train him to wait for his food. When you walk him don't let him pee everywhere , you dictate when he has to go pee. All that has helped me be the alpha and not my Corso. He is almost three now and he is as sweet as Ghost. Good luck with your pup.

Great video totally agree with everything you said, I have a male cane Corsa he's 2yrs now very loving and wary of strangers. He follows me everywhere in the house such a great breed but definitely need to be firm with them.

Thank you Dree for sharing ghost with us. We have one who is just like yours. My son rescued him 5 years ago and he was already house broken, trained, ears and tail were cropped. He was injured but we nursed him back to health. He was about 2 years old as far as we could tell when we first found him. You described him to the T. He's a very good, sometimes obedient, very protective house dog as well. I don't let him get away with anything while my husband let's him get away with everything and he knows it. Very smart dog and he adapted very fast to our home. Our neighbors thought we were crazy for bringing a full grown dog into our home but he has been a blessing to us. We had to learn him because we've never owned anything but pit bulls. If i had a choice of owning another one after him it would be another cane corsa. They are very good with my grandchildren and babies. He don't like strangers and won't let anyone come near us. Thanks again.

Love your videos, I have a boy who just turned 1 on 3/28, brought him home last summer and named him Ghost and then discovered your channel around september of last year and just laughed. I grew up with dogs (german shepherds, american bulldog) but he is my first cane corso and he is the most affectionate dog I have ever had, the problem is as soon as he greats you now you have slobber on whatever pants you are wearing. They are easy to train, super loyal and naturally protective and when he turns 3 I think I am getting him a playmate probably also a corso or a dogo
I definitely agree. I had English Bulldog before him and he is definitely by far the easiest to train 🥰

We have an indoor Cane Corso Capo 1 1/2 yrs old.... Best dog ever. Even as a puppy he communicated with all family members. Easily trained for bathroom outside.... We enjoy your videos!🙏🏾

@@DreeandGhost Dree thanks for your awesome videos. You mentioned temperament. Has he ever been aggressive with you or strangers? This will be my first exclusive large guard dog. I had a pit that was my baby. He was never aggressive with me and well socialized, protective. He died.
Dang Dree beautiful dog. I have one as well a female and everything you said is all true with these breeds. One thing I wanted to add is these breeds are super loyal to their owners. Again like she said folks the more attention you, the better they are with listening and taking commands. Be firm and stay firm.
Loved this video. Everyone of your points are on key. My fur baby is 5 1/2 years old. He is too smart for his own good. I loved that when he doesn’t want to be bothered that he would let me know and would retreat to his crate. He is very picky even with the kids. Some of them he would let them do anything to him and others he won’t. It weird.

My Corso used to get gas a lot as well. I switched him from kibble to raw and it has helped tremendously. I couldn’t imagine have that much gas all the time so I made the switch. His poops are smaller and the gas is gone 💪🏾
All of this is so true! Our cane corso is so so sweet, especially with my daughter, but she has no idea she’s almost 100lbs!! Always wants to cuddle on the couch and the bed
Hey, my cane is 5 1/2 years old and over a hundred pounds and still loves to cuddle like he’s that 6 lb puppy. Be prepared for this.

OMG!!! My neighbor is in the military and she’s about to deploy next month. I have a 5 y/o female Blue Pit and my neighbor has a 14 m/o female Cane Corso she’s had since 2 months old. She wants me to own the dog since they (dogs)get along with each other. Now mind you, my Bella is spoiled ROTTEN and so is her baby!!! After watching this video……. Nice video…..I have my first Corso, she’s 8 months old now. I’ve had Mastiffs for the past 15 years or so. I still have one now, he’ll be 6 in July. It’s funny how they are so different. But I’m totally in love with both breeds. Your “cons” are funny, but true!!!

Pro: makes a great guard dog and companion CON: all of her exes mysteriously died after one visit.
My 40 lb dog on a leash got jumped by a CC. The CC broke out of their collar, jumped over their owner's baby stroller and charged me and my dog. I know it comes down to training. The dog had no interest in doing anything but killing my dog. The owner got a warning from the police. It was terrifying. I love dogs, but I now feel I can't even walk my dog at the local park.

Gassy is often related to diet. Some gas is normal but lots of gas is likely an indication that the diet and subsequent digestion can use some improvement. Usually a raw meat diet combined with some supplements would likely improve the digestion and long term health of most dogs, especially breeds susceptible to health issues related to food. Probably you are familiar with another youtuber, Jason Corey, who has a channel on his Cane Corso. He talks a lot about diet and has a book on the raw food diet for Corsos...

He's a big boy‼️🐕❤️ when you said he doesn't realize how big he is 🤣 is hilarious but dogs sometimes have great understanding of gentleness with babies or things that need special care. Train him well and you'll forget he's even a dog sometimes 😂❤️🐕

We have a 2 1/2 month old Cane Corso / Doberman mix. She's so sweet but doesn't listen. She thinks we're chew toys, still pottying in the house & won't leave the cats alone. We don't have a lot of time to train & unfortunately don't have a fenced in yard for her to run. Ghost is absolutely beautiful & I'm glad he's such a good boy for you. Wish us luck! ❤ Erika
