  • That looks like several steps: 1) factoring two coefficients, 2) identifying which combination of factors provides the right difference, 3) reversing the signs, and 4) performing the final division

    • better than using the whole quadratic equation to find 2 answers and select one from that if not possible we should give the value of both answers so how is your question remotely connected to the quadratic formula...

    • It kinda works for every equation but in some equation you will have to use square root of numbers to get the sub equal to b and multiplication equal to ac. Use quadratic /shri dharamcharaya formula there

    • Nope there are some rare cases the way to check if it will work on the particular equation or not is by using b² - 4ac look that formula up and how to use it
