I had a few requests to show how I add & remove DML Dragon head sculpts from the 1:6 nudes.
This is very easy and quick , with NO side effects to the sculpt.
Some have suggested boiling water...WHY? It takes long, distorts the sculpt, and loosens the paint on the head...
Use this method for quick and easy results.
I hope this helps a few of you out.
Please subscribe for future videos & tips for the 1:6 modeler.
Thank you! I have an old DML with Vincent Price's head on it, the left leg broke many years ago, and is now held in place by tight trousers. Thanks to your tutorial I now have the courage to buy a new body and attempt a head transplant. I think Mr Price would be amused.
I wish I saw this a couple of weeks ago.....I had a really hard time getting a pair of boots off of my GI and I broke his foot! He now has black electrical tape holding his foot on. =( But I now know how to do it. Thank you so much for saving my sanity in near future. toodles Debs from Texas.
That was a very sad story :(
...thanks for making the video...it was a big help!!!
Great vids! I watched all of them and learned quite a lot, thanks, I will try these sometime. Do you think you could do a video on weathering for uniforms and weapons? That would be awesome.
I sure will... I have quite alot going on at the moment, but as soon as I get some freetime, I will be adding lots more vids. Thanks for watching....
I'd like to second that. Ive seen lot of quick explanations on forums but there is nothing like hearing and seeing someone do it. I've weathered my figures a few time and while I've been satisfied I wouldn't say I've been completely happy. I'd be grateful if you could do a video on one.
thank you
Good tutorial... I may be doing the same thing with another figure... I recently purchased the Hasbro 1/6 scale Greedo figure... I have never ever modified a 1/6 scale figure, never removed a head, hands, or anything... and I want to modify my hasbro Greedo into a better Greedo... I want to change his legs/maybe body... if there is a way to just remove a figures legs and place them onto another could you please tell me how.. I would like to just give my figure new legs because I don't have repaint the figure or put Greedo's hands into another figure... but if I have to remove My Greedo's head and hands could you teach me how? Thank you...
While doing this I accidentally pulled the head off with the neck plug/joint. How do I attach the neck plug back on the body?
Any good ways on doing this with the NEO 3?
Thank you very much brother! I need to this one day...
glad I could help.
A tip : you can watch series on Kaldrostream. Been using it for watching lots of of movies during the lockdown.
@Louis Bronson yea, have been watching on flixzone} for years myself :D
Just watched your video. I am putting together a slave Leia figure. This figure has a metal peg on the rubber body and a standard slot for the head. Not easy to get on. Would you know if the dryer would work for this too.
I miss your movies a lot
What if I Didn’t do it right and the piece where the head connects comes off and you see the spring what do I do now please help
Nice!
Could anyone make a video like this for the "Ultimate Soldier" models? I tried removing the head of my 1st Infantry soldier and broke his head in the process.
How do you take of GI Joe hands if you work on Hasbro Action Figures?
sorry I cant be of any help...I have never worked with GI Joe hand...but I assume being more of a toy, than a model, they are not meant to come off easy.
Is Dragon/DML heads are made of Resin or Plastic? Cheers!
Old ones are made of Plastic, if im correct and newer ones out of resin
@@ibrick430 thanks
thank you so much!
your welcome...
MASSwwii Most helpful tips for a newbie in 1/6 scale thanks a lot.
I have a custom head, resin I guess, with no hole. How am I getting that on the neck?
You will have to Dremel it out to fit the neck post you want to put it on.
OK, thanks
Does this apply for other companies like DiD or Soldier Story?
Yes...I use this method to swap all heads. If you want to swap say, a DiD for a DML head (or other companies) there will be some light mods to perform to the neck post or head....just keep that in mind. Most heads fit most bodies with very little effort/mods.
MASSwwii alright, thanks for the tip!!
@@A.M.O.Adventures what about dragon head onto palitoy actionman
Is this how you take off hands/feet?
hands generaly come off easy, they are on a wrist post and you just pull them off, however, DML/Dragon feet do not come off, if so, they need to be glued back on.
MASSwwii Okay thank you!
Dude thanks! ....lol
I miss your movies a lot
I got a new camera, so it is taking a little while to learn all its functions. I hope to have some new vids/tutorials up soon.
