  • Randy, an idea for an interesting guest pair would be WillNE and James Mariott together. Both would be fine guests on their own, as they've been in the past, but their chemistry is through the roof so I think them as guests would bang.

      @nihargadkari6453@nihargadkari645313 күн бұрын
    • Yeah. I also interpret it simply as like (for simon, for example), he simply wants time with Talia and in his home, every day. Like the odd time is nice, ocassionally, but to constantly be away from your family a few days of the week, it will eventually have consequences on the relationship. Plus its just sad, people choose their partner as much as the partner chooses you, and you want to be there for them as much as possible and not be this on and off figure.

      @dianampm99@dianampm9913 күн бұрын
    • @@nihargadkari6453 Literally facts thats what. He's right. Alot of the troops have businesses, wives, kids etc to think of. Instead of begging for trips when he already is lucky enough to play golf most days he should focus on the family. Gotta grow up and move on at some point.

    • @@erosion271 i mean, hes not begging for trips. thats not what people are saying. he was recommeding things to simon in relation to sidemen videos, their current issues and how to organize the videos, and what he was suggesting makes sense if they were all single, no commitment people. so whilst hes putting his own bias as to how he would film the videos, and maybe not putting himself into their shoes, its still not about him begging for trips, but about something they could do. which they cant, because of each of the sidemen's lives and individual responsibilities. dont take it as a chance to be unnecessarily mean to randy when you also know he reads these.

  • I don't know why people hate that you talk about the sidemen. It is a SIGNIFICANT part of both your lives, and this is YOUR podcast, so it should be about you. I like it when y'all talk about the sidemen. Also it would be fun to have Talia's reaction to the set and her as a guest. The intro animation also looks great. I also love watching yall so please DONT SACK IT OFF.

  • Yeah…. Randy kept going on about traveling for many days. Most of these guys have families and stuff going on at home or even personal channels. I can see why it would not work. At least with the 1 day trips, it’s provides content for them being spontaneous and doing a lot in a day. And the next day they are back home to their regular lives. I do agree with the all together tho. Think that’s why I love hide and seek videos

    @JeffTheCreator9@JeffTheCreator913 күн бұрын
    • Yeah, and if they’re feeling like they’re too busy a trip is not the answer lmao. 3 entire days blocked out, 3 entire days leaving a partner to deal with pets/kids/cleaning. Doesn’t matter if it frees up time later, that’s still a huge chunk of time away from family to be doing it regularly

      @Stephh99@Stephh9913 күн бұрын
  • Randy saying that being narcissistic can be positive is crazyy, it's literally a mental illness and the worst part about it is that it affects the people around you negatively. John's idea of bringing a psychologist to the pod might be a good shout..

  • I think the Sidemen’s biggest flaw is the fact they think that every single week they need to elevate and make new waves way to frequently. I’d agree with Randy that just strip it back to bare bones imagine how “well” a OG video of sdmn crossbar challenge filmed like it was in the past. They could use Simon’s house since has a footy pitch. They could even record a more sidemen video after The main video around a football based idea. Not every single video needs mega production and shitloads of money thrown at it. It would also make the big videos more entertaining and exciting since they wouldn’t be as frequent. Sorry for the long comment.

  • 35:00 everyone always mentions about how someone shows up 25-30 minutes late. They’re wasting each others time as well as the people trying to host meetings/filming etc.. Simons complaints are totally valid imo, it shouldn’t have to take 6hrs to film four 30 minute videos. Randy is right that they might need to start slowing down if they’re starting to low-key resent the work they do.

  • i feel like those conversations with simon about how he feels about the videos, workload, sidemen, is something he really needed and could even talk more, whether behind camera or whatever. the sidemen definitely need to try to work through what has been pressing on them and try to rebuild some stuff, otherwise itll keep making them feel worse and worse. i feel like theres this toxic thing with youtubers where they are forced to pretend its not a real job, that they enjoy it, that they are so so grateful, but at the end of the day, specially soemthing like the sidemen, IS a real, hard job, and comes with such challenges, they cant keep ignoring them or letting it pass. theres a reason why they always say to not work with your partner, that it might lead to a lot of tension or an eventual breakup, so they definitely need to include sessions where they enjoy their time together and have some deeper convos, not just business talk. otherwise the tension is going to keep becoming more apparent as time goes on, specially on the vids they dont want to do.

  • Although it would probably be entertaining to watch, everyone saying their peace on a public podcast doesn't seem like a great idea. Sidemen fans will just pick sides and start hating on specific members if they have an opinion that's different from the rest of the group. Also not all members will feel comfortable saying how they really feel if they know they will get hate for it, seems like a conversation that they should have off camera.

  • About the sidemen. I do think that the Side + is the issue. They had a lot of holidays during Christmas and New year, and now they are back full throttle. Obviously side + is a payment content so they have to make something for it always, but when everything comes together that's the new thing that Ido think is the last drop and takes a lot of time, ideas and energy off of you. It's like almost too much for you guys, but that's only my take

  • i think simon could definitely lead a single-person podcast if he was interviewing or talking to random people, because simon is a good listener and he easily like gets into the same vibe or wavelength than others (obviously this is all my assumptions, can be totally wrong). But as they say, with both simon and randy, its a very specific dynamic and it might not work as well with random guests unless its what they said of like, something shorter, or something they both are interested in, and can keep having their own chill back dynamic. I think their podcast is cool as it is, keeping youtubers and people that they relate to and are friends to because it flows easy and its different. The only thing i see is that in terms of growth, keeping the podcast as they already do, probably wont make it grow too much (in comparison to bringing other guests and switching the objective a little bit). Of course that as the sidemen channel keeps growing, and more people find this channel, they will grow as well, but its probably a slower progress. Bottomline is, they should and can do whatever they want, take it whatever they want, even if its keeping it the same or changing it up, they should be aware that people love them and its nice for their personalities to come through regardless of the specific approach

  • I feel like a good concept/ series for the sidemen would be to have a holiday that one of the sidemen chose, so 7 holidays, one for each sidemen so like Harry’s version , Ksi version etc.. each in a different place that the sidemen member wants to visit

Keep up the grind boys!

  • The most miserable job is easy the factories. I did a day at the chicken factory during lockdown. One of the weirdest experiences i've ever had. Barely anyone speaks english so you feel like you're in a Serbian prison. You can't move, barely hear. The taste of raw chicken stays in your mouth and nose after you've left and strangely during lockdown everything was covered up on your body EXCEPT your mouth. Like literally...no masks when handling manky bits of wishbone.

  • 33 minute area. Randy talking about the guys traveling every week and then for a week at a time. Literally no concept of other guy’s lives. I’m sure Vik would like to stay home with his wife like she would prefer that as well. I’m sure Ethan wants to stay home with his kid, etc. Just because Randy doesn’t have a concept on family values doesn’t mean anyone else does. I don’t think the others want to end up divorced like him and never seeing his kid.

Weather he is correct or not, it was just his opinion on making the content better, not what the sidemen should or need to do. Also, don’t roast the man for separating from his wife. You gotta be a real loser and Jackass to make fun of his struggles. Big up Randy!

  • 1:09:29 .. I've been listening to what's good consistently since October of 2023 ... when I started working at a mini golf place in town .. I used to vacuum the turf on the grounds on Thursdays since we were open from the friday to the sunday... it helped me get through all 18 holes (pause) of the course and even now that I'm back in uni I still look forward to it every Thursday I even have it set to download the episode when it releases on Spotify so when I'm on the go I can always still listen to it even though I won't be able to watch it.. I'm currently doing some uni work and was listening on Spotify but had to come over to the KZhead when I heard Randy saying we should comment .. cheers guys looking forward to hearing from you next week

The Sidemen stuff was good because it was interesting to see both your thoughts as well as John's. The new set is really sick and I think a new show with John and Randy would be great. Keep up the vlogs Randy and I hope you come to Philly soon for a cheesesteak as promised. (Angelo's is one of the best, and they also have amazing pizza)
