Toyota RAV4 (2019-2024): Glove Box Blue LED Lights Installation.
In this video, we are doing the installation of blue LED lights in the 2019 Toyota RAV4. The 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 Toyota RAV4 comes without any lights in the glove box from the factory. We decided to fix this problem.

Is that 12V Led strip without any driver? It will degrade very fast because of over 14V voltage. I think you have to add some 12V step-down converter from xhina. It costs smth like 0.5-1.5 bucks. Or even simpler, you can add some current limiting resistor. Led strip is too bright anyway.

Hello: I’m considering this upgrade and have a few questions. Are you still happy with your install? What tool did you use to cut the hole for the switch - Dremel; box cutter knife; hot knife? Looks like you made a neat hole? Lastly, what size drill bit did you use for the led light holes and how did you secure the lights in place? Much appreciated if you can reply. Thanks. Hi there, yes it is one of my favorite upgrades, maybe too bright for the purpose. Have used sharp pencil knife for switch opening- and that is a most tricky part- to cut exact size- you can not fix mistake after all. Size of the drillbit depend on LED size- should be reasonable to provide full light beam, but not too big to compromise structural strength of the panel. LED strip was secured with just sticky silver scotch tape on the top of LED strip. Good Luck with your project.
Are you tapping into the ground (black) wire (with the white one) so the red and black wires both connect to the LEDs and to the switch? In the video, I noticed two wires combined (red and black) and connecting to one of the terminals on the switch. And the other terminal has the red fuse wire leading to the fuse box.
Yes, in this case the white wire goes to the ground. The red wire which has the black wire connected to it on the switch side (this was done in order to use the small connector that fits the contact on the switch) goes to the fuse box and two black wires connect to two LED lights.

What amp fuse did you use?
7.5 Amps
If only there was a way to put one in the center console so when you lift it up you get light. I currently have a USB light but the car has to be on for it to turn on.
You can do the same exact thing in this video. Just run a longer wire and tuck it under the center plastic running by the floor on the side of the seat. Look up his other video of LED center console and you can see how to get the LEd inside
