A plane was forced to make an emergency landing at Newcastle Airport after reports its landing gear failed.

The nose wheel failed to retract and instead of letting him land at Pt McQuarie it made far more sense to get him to burn off fuel and do a belly landing at Williamtown which has far better crash equipment
