I made this video on my iPhone 13, the jingle is homemade by my partner and his ukulele. If you have any questions, send me a dm or comment below. Thank you for watching!
I did make the Sophie Scarf and I have to say it was really fun and easy to knit haha! Maybe that was part of the hype.
I've made the Sophie Scarf, initially for myself, but my husband 'appropriated' it! And now our daughter wants one too 😆 It was really lovely to knit. I think tiny scarves are perfect for gifts and out and about knitting as they are so portable! I'm saving this video to my library as your suggestions are excellent.
Ohh a whole Sophie Scarf family, love that idea! I really have to cast one on at some point.
Thank you so so much for your lovely tutorial. I’m getting ready to make the Sophie Scarf 🤩. I love all your other suggestions. Thank you 🙏🏻
You're so welcome, happy the suggestions were useful! And I'm also knitting on a Sophie scarf right now, such a fun knit (:
Love the suggestions and now have an even longer list of projects. Danke schön!
Ah I'm happy there was something in it for you (:
We love tiny scarves 🥹
It was about 33 degrees Celsius here in Arkansas this week so I just cast on a tiny scarf to keep the sun off my neck in the garden.
Oh very good reason for a tiny scarf as well! Which one did you cast on?
@@pagesandpurls I just cast on 3 and am knitting stockinette with a k1 yo k1 at each end and whatever lacy pattern I feel like at the time. I used a mystery skein of cotton though so the lace will only show up if I starch the daylights out of it
Oh, I can’t wait ! I just need something around my neck. The scarfs I have are all so big. Thank you for your review. Marty
You're welcome, hope you found a pattern that's useful for you. Happy knitting!
I say YES to tiny scarves.
Thank you for collecting these patterns. I’m teaching someone to knit and was looking for another smaller project. And thanks for including how much yarn was used! Like many, I have some precious balls of 50 g that I wasn’t sure what to do with, especially as I don’t like fingerless mitts.
Happy to be of help! And yes I totally relate to that - sometimes it’s nice not to have to make another scrappy hat or fingerless mitts with some small balls of yarn.
omg yes! when I was in nyc last year I couldn’t believe the level of air conditioning everywhere! so this is an ingenious idea and I‘ll definitely be taking a tiny scarf as well when I‘m traveling to the US again this summer (especially for on the airplane, I always recommend people taking shawls as well, to wrap up in!) 🩷
Yess, hope it helps for your trip as well! And yes to shawls on planes as well, makes it so much more comfortable and warmer.
I learnt how to knit specifically so I could finally have all the tiny scarfs I wanted! 😅
Ohh great motivation!!
Thank you so much for putting this info together for the knitters in the world! I want to make all of them! Of course, I have made several Sophie's already!
Thanks for your kind words and I'm happy the video was helpful. Happy knitting!
as a serial sophie scarf knitter (😅) it is so nice to see some more options round up because I just love scarves for gift knitting! I recently bought the yarn for a barbara shawl by gregoria fibers (which I got after test knitting for her last year) and will be knitting it up soon, but she also has a bandana version in her pattern which would fit in this round up as well ☺️
The Barbara shawl wasn't even on my radar, but it's beautiful! Thanks for recommending it. I love all these textures in Gregoria fibers's patterns. Can't wait to see your version of the Barbara shawl (:
I just finished a Polkagris and I absolutely love it! Its so so cozy and your idea of red and pink together fits it so well! Might want one like that too
Ohh I want to see your finished Polkagris 😍
Watched this while working on another Sophie Scarf 😂😅 but now I want to try knitting the Victoria Scarf! So cute!! ❤
ahw I'd be curious to see how yours turns out, if you cast one on (:
Ooh I love all of these patterns, thank you for sharing 😍 I recently made the Blackberry Kerchief by Churchmouse Yarns, would totally recommend it if you have a single skein of mohair or similar yarn left - it's only a 2 row repeat too, so it's super easy to adjust the pattern based on how much yarn you have left 😊
Thank you so much for the recommendation, the blackberry kerchief looks lovely and so dainty ! I feel like I will need to film a version 2.0 of this video with all the nice pattern recommendations in the comments (:
Thank you!
You’re welcome!
Thanks for sharing ! All so beautiful ! Casting on of them soon !
Thank you for watching! Do you already know which one you're going to start? Happy knitting (:
Great review! Appreciate the ravelry links! Thank you!
You’re welcome! I’m curious if you’ll knit any of these :)
I recommend Espresso scarf, it came out in May 2023!
I'll check it out, thanks so much for the recommendation!
I made the Soul Sister scarf by Sari Nordlund and its so so beautiful! The dip stitch looks so professional but is actually very intuitive once you get the hang of it! Cant wait to see how yours knits up 🥰☺️
Oh that sounds promising, and very encouraging that the stitch is intuitive once you get it (: Very eager to cast mine on now (:
this is a great video, thank you! currently knitting up the sophie scarf, but will start on scarf no 2 by my favourite things very soon ❤
I'm glad this was helpful, thank you for your kind words! I need to finally cast on a Sophie scarf myself!!
Thank you for all the pattern suggestions. I had actually found one that's great for stash busting and interesting to knit. It's called Rimrock, by Laura Aylor. It's a mosaic scarf. It's a very fun knit and a well written pattern.
Oh that one looks fun, with the tassels! Thank you so much for the suggestion. I'm thinking I need to record a second video with all the additional pattern suggestions I got in the comments.
"The simple thing" is a dupe for the sophie scarf and it came out first. It is also free.
Thank you for the recommendation, I'll check it out!
Huhuu aus Belgien ❤
Hello! Thanks for watching (:
The Reyna shall is a free 1 skein project.
Thanks for the recommendation, I'll have a look at it!
Hi from San Diego. Grüße Dich
Do you have a tutorial for the handkerchief one? Ugh I’m visual I need to see a video tutorial 😢 😩
I don't unfortunately. I wouldn't be comfortable recording step by step instructions on a pattern that is not mine :/
