CatNap’s death is quite interesting to analyze. He got electrocuted by the green hand and got caught on fire, just like Theodore Grambell, who is the child soul of CatNap. It’s worth discussing if CatNap got betrayed by the Prototype, or willingly died for it. I like to think that CatNap was willing to die for the Prototype, it seems fitting for his character since the Prototype did save him when he was a child. Also, he didn’t reach out when the Prototype “extended a hand” to him, I think that he was making an easy attack for the Prototype so that he could be part of him. He light coming out from the ceiling could represent how CatNap thinks of the Prototype as his god, and will do anything to serve him. CatNap is definitely the most loyal of the Prototype’s pawns which is understandable since the Prototype “saved” him when he got electrocuted when he was still a child. The parallel to when he almost died the first time are pretty cool when you notice them. I can’t wait for somebody to say “I’m not reading all of that.”

Either The Prototype betrayed Catnap, or Catnap accepted his fate by giving in to The Prototype. Regardless, Catnap is now become part of The Prototype. I’m excited to see what The Prototype looks like.
I can't help but sympathise with the monsters. They are just kids trying to get revenge on the horrible people who experimented on them. And poor Theo he trusted the prototype and only to get killed by him before he could kill the character we play as.
They also are other kids.
Though catnap seemed to accept it though. so in his way he is happy and still loves the prototype as it uses him for its benefits.
@ethanpena2030 Nah it looked like Catnap backed away in fear until the Prototype's hand lowered and turned palm-up in a welcoming, helpful gesture. Catnap was lulled into a sense of comfort to the being that he did admire only for it to unexpectedly stab him through the throat anyway.
My interpretation of catnaps death scene is that the Catnap thought the prototype would be angry for not killing the protagonist which i think is why he back away fearing his gods wrath, but the prototype instead offered Catnap become one with 1006 since catnap was mortally wounded by the electric fire, And I guess becoming one with the Prototype "Saves" Theo from permanent death once again just as he did before, so Catnap chose to be "saved" by becoming one with his Friend/Savior/god which is why he put up no resistance when the prototype "killed" him.

Nah I prefer the chase, This bossfight was a little predictable, all you do is walk back and forth dealing with catnap, it felt like a chore to do, there was no tension Which the chases had
@@greydummy2702The constant "run and hide" gets old quickly, so I personally welcome the change. I think it's clever too since it tests all the mechanics you've learned. If they do different types of gameplay for the final confrontation of each major enemy, I think that'd be perfect.
@@Geo-ku1ql yea But there was still no tension, And swapping hands in the bossfight got tedious fast, They should make it that you actually fight the monster (not in the fnaf way) Since that could create tension
There was a mini chase scene when you ran from the blue hand socket to the elevator and then into the bossfight.

He doesn't even sacrifice himself. He just praises whenever the prototype is in his presence. Meaning catnap wasn't expecting to die. The prototype killed him for failing. In other words, he killed an innocent boy that he literally saved in the past instead of escaping as he had the chance to.

Yes, he attempted to exhale the Red Smoke but it combusted and set him on fire.

The hardest part of the CatNap fight is that your character is sort of hallucinating so you see CatNap's shadow on one side but he's actually somewhere else 🙃

You know, what I personally love about Catnap's boss fight is that it isn't even another chase scene like with Huggy Wuggy and Mommy Long Legs. It instead feels more like a last stand. There's nowhere to run or hide, all you can do is stall for time and survive long enough.
When the mobile version comes out, it will be age 16+ because of CatNap's brutal death.

It might get boring if its just all chases so surviving 3 mins in a room with a monster was creative
it is quite good, if all the encounters where a chase, then the game could be critizised for being repetitive. The execution of the boss and the tutorial to it were lacking, but it is a great example of the devs trying new things
I feel like that the prototype is trying to make itself a bigger deal than before. I mean, sure it took the body of mommy, but if it now takes the body of catnap, I'm pretty sure we will have a hell of a bumpy ride if the prototype puts itself together like puzzle pieces.

They can block off the hallways before Catnap gets to you. Try them! Poppy: Good! If you see Catnap, use those. You're probably gonna hallucinate a bit. It'll be hard to tell what's real and what's fake. Poppy: Try using your flares on Catnap to make sure he's real. He's almost there! There might be a way to kill him, if you can hold out. Poppy: Do you see that computer terminal? Progressivegly use the batteries to fill the surrounding slots. Please don't die.

I don't know if many people think like me, but I think that Catnap's terrifying and thinnest form is his real physical form, you can clearly see the marks on his clothes and the zipper he makes When the clothes open, we can even see the seams and this explains why he never stops smiling and how the fire spread quickly throughout his body.

Pretty sure its just the gas that makes him look like that. its why he goes back to normal when he kills you, its all in your head(the character not you personally).
Also now that I think about it, Catnap looks thinner in game than in the trailer, making me believe he’s slowly wasting away.

Yeah, I don't know much about the lore but to me I think that it's taking the bodies of different monsters to build onto itself, and become some sort of amalgamated monstrosity.
Theory: The prototype attacked kissy missy
Actually, it might be Huggy. Because in chapter 2, before the final battle with Mommy Long Legs, there is blue fur & blood on the wall that leads to a vent. Which symbolizes that he is still alive & is extremely angry at the player for dropping him of the platform. So he tried to kill the player upon his return but they escaped before he can achieve his vengeance. So he took his anger out on Kissy & eventually both of them started fighting. But both of their fates are unknown because the dome closed on Poppy & The Player so we don't know who won.

@@haziqhakim5995 But Huggy's lust for vengeance made him attack her anyway. Because hatred & vengeance is what makes you ignore your own friends, family, your sympathy, and your girlfriend. And Huggy is clearly pissed off over his 1st defeat at the hands of The Player. So of course his hatred would make him attack Kissy. And may i remind you, she's the good counterpart of Huggy & is the only 3 toys to oppose The Prototype. The other two are Poppy & Dogday.

I feel like the actual boss fight would be more intense if Catnap alternated between hallways quicker and more erratically as to not give away a clear pattern of movement.

I think Catnap was satisfied with his death. He viewed the Prototype as his God, and to die for his God is probably the greatest achievement for him

We were already shown how CatNap was going to die actually because in the Poppy Playtime chapter 3 ARG Theodore Grambell who was CatNap Befriended The Prototype and The Prototype used him to escape, so Theodore grabbed two green hands to escape but unfortunately got electrocuted by them and almost died, The Prototype could’ve escaped but chose not to, he grabbed Theodore and gave him to the employees so The Prototype went back in Jail. Now we see that CatNap dies by being electrocuted and caught on fire by his own red gas, but this time he got offered to go to heaven by his lord and saviour The Prototype, You can notice that when The Prototype comes out the ceiling/Vent there is light up there to symbolise heaven, in the end CatNap didn’t get betrayed but instead offered his body to The Prototype as a way of saying thanks for saving his life all those years ago, you could see that The Prototype was offering a helping hand, but it seems CatNap denied it and gave up his body for his God instead.

Catnap killed himself on purpose because I know that catnap was trying to obey his order but he failed to kill us so he knew that the prototype will kill him for not obeying his order so he knew what to do and obey the prototype to die. He was just a little kid long ago 😢
