Just finished watching this movie and all I can say is hats off to the entire team. I laughed so hard at the funny scenes and cried harder in the emotional parts. It was a rollercoaster ride. This movie was absolutely beautiful. As an Indian woman, I enjoyed every bit of it. It was like a typical Bollywood movie but it had great gay representation for both males and females as well as cultural appreciation. It included different race groups as well which just added to the beauty of it all. I laughed through the whole movie and some end scenes actually had me tearing up. It captured what goes on in indian households perfectly. Im proud that Bollywood is finally introducing the lgbtq+ community to the world. Would definitely recommend to watch, it made me so proud.

I just came across this movie by accident on Netflix. (I am not Indian. I am Canadian.) At first, I thought it was just one of those cheesy Bollywood movies, but I watched anyway because I wanted to have some light-hearted entertainment. But this movie is anything but. I was completely blown away by it. It's VERY smart. It's funny but touching at the same time. (I cried a little.) The acting was fantastic. It's not completely one-sided, i.e. in the end, everyone just embraces the homosexuality. That's not the case. There were a few family members who still, realistically, refused to accept it. But that's what's so great about this movie. While still not entirely realistic (e.g. the fake married couple was accepted by MOST of their respective family members), it still depicted the reality (i.e. a lot still had problem with them). I am so glad that I always enjoy subtitled foreign movies because if I do not, I would have missed this absolute gem. I hope this movie can reach a wider audience.

I just finished watching this movie. Honestly, this movie is so beautiful, I got so emotional at the ending. Thank you to the crews and cast of the movies for giving us such a realistic movie. Not many films with concepts like this can be found, especially in Bollywood and Kollywood industries. Loved every second of it. THIS MOVIE WAS AMAZING. Everyone go watch it pls,you will not regret it. It was hilarious like I was dying of laughter in scenes and then all of a sudden I was crying at scenes too and how emotionally moving they were. This film actually left an impact and you will be moved to tears by it for real. Not one actor was bad in my opinion,they all made this film amazing and just spot on. Everything from the music to the comedy to the emotional scenes to the representation to the chemistry was literally perfect. I can’t even fault this film. The trailer actually doesn’t do it any justice to how great it is. This is one of the best films I’ve seen in ages and the best Bollywood movie representing the LGBTQ community by far. it deserves so so much love and I can guarantee it’ll be a classic film everyone cherishes still in years to come. You can see the effort and passion put it in from the cast,the directors,everyone involved in this. It’s literally perfect.

This movie is seriously one of the best movies of 2022. It's beautiful in every aspect .. May it be the storytelling , the performances , the direction, the music. I don't know how many times I cried watching this movie . While Badhaai ho was high on laughs , this one is high on emotions . Totally a worth watch !

In India this is really revolutionary. Normal out of caste marriage is not accepted still. Very few are where parents give away their control, this would take atleast 2-3 generations. I am proud of movie makers but audiences even the young ones I have met are hypocrites. My own generations, if I would say I was sooooooo progressive nope that would be lie. I was in favour of love marriages across caste and religions but about this I had prejudices after some time i support it, but still may be that hesitation is still in me. Ivan accepting it, but most don't and just flat out go ballistic behind doors, that hypocrites made me to look myself look in mirror. I hope many can.

I just completed this movie and I just want to say this was so freaking WHOLESOME. Hats off the entire team! Loved how they portrayed every character. The storyline was so good and the acting was so well done💜 the ONLY minor complain I would do is that they don't show one freaking kiss I mean I'm a sucker for kisses😆 petition for more kiss scenes in bollywood😆
Now this is exactly what movies are meant for.. to bring some positive changes in the society... To educate people, with entertainment..By drama and theatre. Hopefully this will bring more acceptance in the society for lgtbq community.

I think bollywood has grown up now by not making fun of lgbtq community by doing good movies, lavender marriages happening in India and many people not aware of it , I really appreciate the whole team took this story and they spoked about it and it was good... Why no one is talking about Chum darang performance she did wonderful job too ,this movie not seemed like her first movie, she actually acted very well and her guts to entering bollywood with sensitive subject and she portrayed it naturally, wishing her all the very best and I hope writers will appreciate her talent and give her more opportunities in future ..

We need more such movies which talks about LGBTQI rights, struggles and treatment that they get in the country. Just watched this and it's absolutely brilliant. My entire family loved the movie. Every actor has done an amazing job. But more than that, the story is extremely heartwarming. It's funny but doesn't treat the issues as a joke. It's not extremely realistic at times but I loved that it gave a hopeful message. Highly recommend for everyone.
