Thousands of people are said to be fleeing across the border - from Myanmar into Thailand - following air strikes by the regime.
Most are from an ethnic group called the Karen. The attacks are the latest escalation - in the increasingly violent crackdown by Myanmar's military government - against opponents of its February takeover.

What is going on? How can someone have the power to sanction bomb strikes on innocent people. This world is fucked!
It’s their military coup ! Killing their own people ! They’ve been protesting against the coup for a few months now lol come on, Chris lol
@Henrique Ribeiro I don't think you can compare that tho? Because this is a military killing its own people, I feel like it different to WW2, Germany bombs London, so Britain did it back, I feel like you can't really compare this to back then
@Henrique Ribeiro Yes but the point is, for example Britain didn't bomb its own people, compared to this in which the military has gone as far as to kill children, thats a big difference. WW2 was a global war, this is just an unstable military who feel threatened by the people there meant to protect, and have resulted to essentially mass murder. I ain't saying its right because its not, but WW2 is completely different to this
@@arfgrogue5735 doesn’t matter who’s civilians they are, it’s disgusting no matter what. Do you think the British didn’t kill German children? It’s all war crime.
Today marks the 18th anniversary of the criminal invasion of the sovereign country of Iraq by the US, UK, Australia and Canada. And the US is still continuing this 20 year long crusade on muslim countries.
This is what happens when an army kills thousands of people (Rohinga) and faces no repercussions. They think they can get away with anything.
@Morocco Mole I don't quite see the parallel although the militarization of the American police force may be a by-product of sorts.
You mean an army that's trying to maintain stability in a region, yeah that's so terrible. We should install a leader like in Afghanistan, and watch them welcome the Taliban to the discussion forum. That seemed to work so well for all the troops that died during the war in Afghanistan. How about we let them deal with their own problems, while encouraging peaceful discourse.

I've got a feeling if we send in a small group of special forces they'd probably kill this entire untrained Mickey Mouse Army in less than a day.
That could be a very difficult and very dangerous environment for ground forces even if they had good intelligence information. I think an airstrike would be best. However, also see South Korea's "Decaptiation Squad", I think their drones augment their capabilities significantly.
Special forces don’t actually conduct assault operations if they don’t have the backing of a conventional force (infantries.) What they would do is to make contact with the minority militias (KIA, Arakan, Karen, etc), train them and supply them with weapons as “military advisors”. It’d be the militias who do the heavy work.
True. They really just know how to hold a gun. Without guns and other weapons they are COMPLETELY powerless.
