'People flee across Thailand border' after Myanmar air strikes - BBC News

2021 ж. 29 Нау.
206 734 Рет қаралды

Thousands of people are said to be fleeing across the border - from Myanmar into Thailand - following air strikes by the regime.
Most are from an ethnic group called the Karen. The attacks are the latest escalation - in the increasingly violent crackdown by Myanmar's military government - against opponents of its February takeover.

  • What is going on? How can someone have the power to sanction bomb strikes on innocent people. This world is fucked!

    • @Henrique Ribeiro I don't think you can compare that tho? Because this is a military killing its own people, I feel like it different to WW2, Germany bombs London, so Britain did it back, I feel like you can't really compare this to back then

      @arfgrogue5735@arfgrogue57353 жыл бұрын
    • @Henrique Ribeiro Yes but the point is, for example Britain didn't bomb its own people, compared to this in which the military has gone as far as to kill children, thats a big difference. WW2 was a global war, this is just an unstable military who feel threatened by the people there meant to protect, and have resulted to essentially mass murder. I ain't saying its right because its not, but WW2 is completely different to this

    • You mean an army that's trying to maintain stability in a region, yeah that's so terrible. We should install a leader like in Afghanistan, and watch them welcome the Taliban to the discussion forum. That seemed to work so well for all the troops that died during the war in Afghanistan. How about we let them deal with their own problems, while encouraging peaceful discourse.
