a person with 11,000 hours in terraria here, with half of that in vanilla, and my personal preferance for for all the classes at pretty much all stages, be it as my 1st or 3rd mech or on any difficulty (i play on Expert most often, since it's the most fun) i generally would use the same gear on all of them, except on Expert+ i'd have the dash. as 1st mech i'd use: - ranged - destroyer: Daedalus Stormbow/Onyx Blaster - twins: Onyx Blaster/Daedalus Stormbow - skeletron prime: Onyx Blaster/Daedalus Stormbow - melee - destroyer: Dripler Crippler/Shadowflame Knife - twins: Shadowflame Knife/Bananarang - skeletron prime: Sergeant United Shield/Shadowflame Knife - magic - destroyer: Meteor Staff/Crystal Vile Shard - twins: Sky Fracture/Life Drain - skeletron prime: Spirit Flame/Life Drain - summoner - destroyer: Cool Whip + Sanguine Staff/Pirate Staff - twins: Firecracker + Sanguine Staff/Blade Staff - skeletron prime: Firecracker + Sanguine Staff/Blade Staff as 3rd mech, (i'd kill them in the order to get some weapons earlier to help with the kills): - ranged - destroyer: Flamethrower/Daedalus Stormbow - twins: Megashark/Daedalus Stormbow - skeletron prime: Megashark/Daedalus Stormbow - melee - destroyer: Dripler Crippler/Excalibur - twins: Light Disc/Bananarang - skeletron prime: Sergeant United Shield/Light Disc - magic - destroyer: Meteor Staff/Rainbow Rod - twins: Sky Fracture/Life Drain - skeletron prime: Rainbow Rod/Spirit Flame - summoner - destroyer: Durendal/Cool Whip + Sanguine Staff/Pirate Staff - twins: Firecracker + Sanguine Staff/Blade Staff - skeletron prime: Firecracker + Sanguine Staff/Blade Staff Firecracker is literally Cracked if you have high hit rate minions and high whip speed, since after every hit your minions deal "a small explosion will occur, and the enemy takes 2.75 times the damage from the minion/sentry's attack. The explosion also hits nearby enemies for 1.75 times the damage." Sadly it's considered a debuff that is left on an enemy until it is hit, so it doesn't work on destroyer (unless it was fixed) Rainbow Rod is wonderful, with great multi target dps, AOE and homing, it just a perferc all rounder weapon.

I love the fact that Skeletron Prime's bomb launchers has the ability to destroy tiles in FTW and can just decimate your entire arena after fighting it. As someone who has an OCD problem in this game, let's just say I was a little unhappy about it during my blind playthrough of the world seed... Great video as always! I'd love to see what you cook up when you do make a house building guide.
Yeah - I decided to not mention that particular feature in this guide LOL. I'm pretty sure you can make an arena with Dungeon blocks and the bombs won't destroy them. Unless they changed that....

Wonderful series, funnily enough you released this just after I beat the Twins and Destroyer, now this should be no problem. Also, blood moon guide would be nice... but being honest with myself I don't think it would be worth the time to make a house building guide until the end.

Welcome back, omg finally!! I actually pushed forward without the guides and got stuck on the moon lord and gave up. I'll still be watching every video til you catch up though so maybe you'll have some info on moonlord that'll help me out I haven't been able to find ;p
What difficulty level are you playing on?
Im playing on classic. Its my first time trying to play. Im a fighter build with beatle armor and the solar eruption since i cant aim the flair for the life of me and my equips are warrior and destroyer emblems, a charm of myths, a fire guantlet and an sheild of cuthulu. I'm using the ufo mount for infinite flight to make up for a lack of wing slot @salendrak
@kawaiikiwi2801 Try Valhalla armor from the Old One's Army event, and use the Daybreak. The health regen on that armor helps a TON!
This was actually my first mech boss defeated on my master mode world. I considered skipping it but decided to give it a try ;)

I recently beat the moon lord on my first world (on mobile) and started an expert mode world. These will still be useful for that, but I'm still using the previous one for things such as the bestiary, world purity, fishing and other things. Also I noticed that this video isnt in the playlist so I only just noticed it now.

Btw for melee the FRozen Sickle works really well for the first 2 and from what ive seen it works pretty well against skeletron prime

one thing you forgot to mention about plantera bulb: one of the latest updates made it so defeating the third mech spawns one bulb INSTANTLY (only works once per world)

thanks to you guide series if managed to get in to terraria and i wasnt able to do that before i was just like...yea nah im going back to minecraft,but man terraria is great also thanks to me suffering trough building a arena in pre hard mode (thanks to you saying is a good idea) i managed to get the ank shield pretty eary into hard mode also i now finaly found how much I HATE THE ANLER F-...damm that guy

Huh! Not sure where I got the idea that there weren't at the start of hardmode. Probably saw it on the wiki somewhere but didn't bother to test it. Not sure I have any pre-mech boss hardmode worlds at the moment anyways soooo....
Not mentioning the Excalibur as a good weapon for melee is a crime I straight melted SP with that thing (and spamming spiked balls all over the arena)
What difficulty level? I imagine it's fine on classic, though I would probably still prefer better range. Have you tried it on Expert of Master Mode?

Weird enough i defeated skeletron prime with a pretty weird loadout and it was also the first mechanical boss i defeated, i used a godly golden shower in combination with mythril MELEE armor.I had my sorcerer emblem on and the warding cross necklace, warding obsidian skull or the warding bezoar i dont remember,and some menacing angel wings,and warding lightning boots. The boss was really easy my pirate staff didnt really do much but the godly golden shower was really good against it but it was really mana hungry.And thats another way on how to defeat skeletron prime

Now with the road at lest for me I wouldn’t use it because you can’t go through it and I just use the shield and hell horse but it still works
I generally put a few spots with platforms breaking up the road, that way I can get above or drop below it as needed. Horse works too though!
Hey I know your not gonna respond to this but how did you get your screen so zoomed out for me it looks really zoomed in but I’ve tried the buttons and I’m max zoomed out
You must be new here 🤣 I just use default zoom settings to zoom in and out. Not sure if screen resolution makes a difference, but I do shrink down the size of the UI, which probably helps make everything else seem more zoomed out. But no mods or anything.
Thoughts on the infamous Orange Zapinator for this?
Haven't tried it, actually. I've gotten the zapinators in a couple of worlds, but they're always pretty iffy on whether or not you can get them when you want them, hence the reason I don't cover them in these videos. But try it and let me know how you like it!
@@salendrak Well imma be honest this was the first time i defeated Skeletron, probably the big assphalt or the zapinator but the rng damage the zapinator does was insane which definitely contributed to it and it's the fastest penetrating weapon that i know where i strive to want, other than that, he's down

Hey salendrak why don't u delete all the videos after the 1.5 update and just make small tukes on the videos and re-uplod it, so it is the latest and the beat advice for bosses, events etc
Deleting older videos is actually a terrible thing for a channel to do, most of the time. Really screws things up for your algorithm and whatnot. And in the case of Terraria, the updates generally tend to add new stuff, not substantively change the pre-existing stuff. So chances are little if anything from my older videos will become obsolete beyond what can be noted in a pinned comment or at most a quick update video.
