Leicester City F.C Training Ground - Extended drone footage and construction progress - June 2020

Leicester City Football Club’s new Training Ground is set to become one of the most modern, state-of-the-art training facilities in Europe. This latest drone footage demonstrates the progress being made by all involved by overcoming recent challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic as well as some difficult weather.
This latest clip focuses heavily on the site-wide landscaping as we continue to lay some outstanding new pitches. Many of the pitches have been created using Desso hybrid pitch technology also recently used at Wembley Stadium and St George’s Park. This technology reinforces a natural grass pitch by vertically inserting 20 million polypropylene fibres into the soil. The 20-centimetre long fibres are then injected by computer-controlled machines, designed to ensure an even and stable pitch to replicate premier league level surfaces in training.
