Persona 4 is such a special game to me. The music alone takes me back to 2008 when I was 19 with no worries or responsibilities...
Each stage of life have has good and bad things. We may have worries, now. But also we have the freedom to buy amazing games as we want
@@enrique9925 Unfortunately some stages of life only have downsides. When you’re in your 70s or 80s, maybe even your 90s if you’re lucky, you’re too physically weak to do most of the things you’re able to when you’re younger. Most hobbies are inaccessible to you. And mentally, there’s a chance you might not be all there anymore, either. A lot of your friends and family have also likely already passed away, too, or moved on to enjoy their own lives independently if you had kids. Eventually there’s not much left for you but death. It’s scary to think about. Sorry for the downer comment, it’s just something I think about, and Persona 3 itself focuses on death as a major theme.

Heh, it was exactly opposite for me. I had really hard times and P4 was like my personal safe space with kind and loyal friends.

@@tomb411 definitely to be honest I think the only resource they are selling portable apposed to fes is because you can't directly control your party members in fes.

Still remembered played P4 and P3 on PS2 in high school, such a good memories. And now both are on my favorite console 👍

It’s been so great being able to experience these games without emulation. P4G was a life defining game for me when I first watched a play through of it when I was in middle school.
Right, I played P4 and P3 on PS2 in high school, such a good memories.

my first experience with them was watching play throughs l of them myself. Now I finally get to enjoy them for myself! So I am right there with you!
@@PomadaGaming honestly we can learn something from the experiences of people from various different backgrounds and ages. And when you’re young, you’re bound to come across more mature content. Persona is just as kid-friendly as most anime they’ll watch.
This is one of those many releases in ports on the Nintendo switch that really makes me smile. I remember playing these games on the PlayStation 2, long after they came out. I was enthralled by them then and I was really saddened that I had to let them go for personal reasons. I wasn't sure if they're ever going to be ported and if they were where I could find them. After playing a little bit of P4 on steam, I got the message that it was coming to Xbox systems and PCs. It was exciting. And then, they made the announcement about the switch and I knew I was in for a treat. If you've never played these games before and have always been interested, you owe it to yourself to play them now. It's some of the finest role-playing games in the world today. I Only have one gripe about it: sadly, P3 and P4 are not physical releases.....yet, I hope. That aside, I'll play it no matter how I can all in one place

I had to buy a PS vita just for these two games years ago. I’m so glad they FINALLY give this to console users!
I got the vita for Christmas back when it first came out and this was one of the games I got with it. P4G Loved it!
Persona 4 Golden holds a deep special place in my heart since I transitioned from the original PS2 release. It changed my life around after being in such a dark rut. Glad I can play this magnificent game on the go!
Will wait for these because I'm currently playing Persona 5 Royal, but I'll definitely get them too at some point, I'm so glad they're finally on Switch (and other consoles/PC, too)!
Enjoy P5 Royal! I definitely recommend the earlier games if you enjoy that and are looking for more Persona when you are done. Especially Persona 4G!
@@RyanKarolak I've done two Palaces and am enjoying it a lot so yep, I'll most certainly play 4 and 3, too (although I'll probably play Strikers next since it's 5's sequel, even if without the Royal additions)!
@@johnnymind4151 I recommend Strikers. It's pretty decent as a sequel / spin-off to P5. I also think Strikers works fine as a sequel to Royal too. It doesn't really reference the events or characters of Royal, but at the same time the Royal third semester story and characters were pretty much wrapped up at the end of the game and the Strikers does not contradict Royal's ending, so it still fits.
just got my p3p tattoo right on time last weekend! p3p is one of my favorite games of all time. i hope everyone has fun with these rereleases, they are still so much fun no matter how much time passes!

@@V-Jes It's just because Persona 5 is so much more popular, I think. It has a smash character (the first dlc one too) and it has a flashy look to it that just makes people more interested in it.

I honestly love the persona 4 golden soundtrack I first found the game by watching videos on it and I loved the music so I’m so glad I can finally play it
I’m really excited to get these, I’ve heard tons of good things about these games. I’m so glad they weren’t marked up for switch, I was fully expecting $60 for both of them separately so it was so nice to see they were only $20 each

I love that P3 & P4 are on modern consoles, just wished I could get them as physical releases instead of downloads only. Hopefully Limited Run could be able to do so?
Even though I've finished all these games, I always watch the trailers because of the awesome soundtrack. Shoji Meguro is just so awesome!
Aahhh... I still remember how I spend hours on my PSP playing P3P and and on my PS2 playing P4... Finally I can get both on my Switch!

Loved Persona 4 Golden on PC, currently playing through P5R on and off since October and just started P3P on Game Pass, it's been a blast and I might just buy it on Switch if a physical edition comes out

Note most of these or all of these ports are from SEGA and not made by Atlus.
They did... on Xbox only. Xbox runs at 4k 120fps. Playstation (and Switch) is capped at 1080p 60fps 🫠 no reason for the playstation version to get the shaft
@@Zipzapadam Seems to me like Xbox is the superior console in performance but that's just my guess.
JRPG's are so cozy to play on handhelds, glad to have *most* of the persona series on the switch.

Just a few weeks after I’ve started playing Persona 5 Royal, this is truly the moment of all time
After 3 long years!
I only played mainline SMT yet, so hype to find out what made this spin-off series so popular. As the games are not graphically demanding, portability makes this the definitive version i guess so now or never
P3P is kind of debetailable on definitive part, it indeed got more content they cut lot of 3d visuals due to PSP limitations

Also, for those of you who play persona 4 and 5, finish them, and want more story, look into persona 4 arena and persona 5 strikers.
P4 Arena also basically acts as a sequel to P3 too!

Persona 5 in my top 5 games of all time the first time experience was fantastic I wish I could repeat it And now Finally I can play these two especially 3

I can't wait to actually be able to play these games! It was either beg for a port to eventually happen,or shell out hundreds of dollars for a PSP and VITA,plus the games in order to experience them. It absolutely sucked being a Persona Fan and not actually being able to play the games. I mean I had a playstation 3, but the only Persona related game for it I ever had was Arena Ultimax. So this is an absolute blessing! And even though I've never been able to play persona 3 myself,it has my favorite story out of the games.

2 of the best jrpgs. Although i would like if they modernized some stuff on p3p, still awesome game and as for p4 golden, it's perfect in every way.
The bar must be pretty low for you if 3 is high up. Some of the worst dungeon design for the era it released in
imo they should've just done fes with the female protagonist and direct commands
Man I've been waiting literally since the psvita era for p4 golden to hit console release since I wasn't interested in owning a vita and the few games I was interested in eventually did hit consoles. It's been 11 years now I think? And it FINALLY hit consoles. It was a long wait but totally worth it~!
i still do not understand why they decided to port the dumbed down portable version of 3 over FES regardless i am glad i can finally play 4 golden without the need a of a vita but i am worried was anything changed or censored?

If you haven't played either of these games you'll probably have a better time with Persona 4 Golden first! Such a fantastic game that still holds up today. Finished my playthrough last year in around 120 hours.
As i've got P4G and P5R on PC i'm getting P3P on PC however if we do get a physical version switch i'll begetting that day one.
I don't think we'd be getting a physical version sadly. If we do though, it would probably be like a limited quantity thing that Atlus will do and will get scalped almost immediately.
@@Nakura-dj8mg You are most likely correct which is a shame as P4G and P3P are masterpiece, both games are only 10gb and 14gb, so they could fit both games on at 32gb cartridge, sell it for like £40 and it'll sell like hot cakes.
With the Persona games on Switch, more people will learn how the arcana is the means by which all is revealed

I'm currently replaying Donkey kong 3 on Nintendo Switch and I think that to earn some lives there should be a mini game that brings life to the secret world. The end of the stage and the death in the stages is pretty cool, it doesn't make you angry and it's peaceful and happy.

They were day one purchases for me! As a Persona fan with no way to ever play any of them myself I’m over the moon to have P3 in any form, P4G, and P5R at long last! If you’re not sure and think you may want to pick them up, do a little research first. They’re not for the ones without the time and resolve to see them through till the end. .
🙂I remember Persona 4 golden was the first game I got on my PSVITA back in 2012 I think it was. I loved the vita and persona 4 was a great game to kick it off. The music and the story are so nostalgic to me. The ost Heartbeat, Heartbreak is my fav! I think I had the bad ending though or something like that 🤭lmao been meaning to beat it again since then. Now I can, thanks Nintendo!

@@lubbo5261 I mean story-based ones that add new characters and environments to the franchise, you know? Fighting games like Persona 4 Arena, dungeon crawler games like Persona Q and rhythm games like Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight and Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight are all spin-offs that use the characters first introduced to the public through the series' main games like Persona 3, Persona 4 and Persona 5.
