This is a video of the process of making a wood carving of the dragon with even more detail than the previous one. No power tools are used.
The wood is made of Kiso Hinoki (Japanese cypress).

  • What a amazing technique you have mastered. Can you tell me if you make your own chisels and when did you start with learning? Did you have a teacher or did you go to a art school? I am totally flabbergasted at how your hands seem to be completely in control. A true master!

    • Thank you very much. The chisels are purchased from a forge maker. I started wood carving when I was 18 years old. At first I attended school and then apprenticed to a master. Now I am making it by myself.

  • Приветствую! Очень хорошая работа и смотреть всë информативно! Бери и сам делай всë без слов! А то ЧПУ ЧПУ.... Вот руками всë делается! Находятся ещё такие деятели которые спорить начинают ещё! Я таким сразу говорю идите и заказывайте на станках а ручная работа круче! 👍🙂
