  • Little fun fact for you, if you’re not aware: The Maxwell Asbo is called that because in the U.K., an “ASBO” is an AntiSocial Behaviour Order, a criminal order for those who do disorderly behaviour, commonly given to delinquents like Chavs in England and Neds in Scotland. Their typical vehicle of choice would be vehicles like the early 2000’s Vauxhall Corsa, and that’s (most likely) why it’s got the name 😛

    • There used to be a really funny website called Barryboys that made fun of their car modifications, but it's inactive now. Before papers like The Sun popularised "Chav", they were called different things in different places. "Barry Boys" was their Cambridgeshire name, I think Essex called them "Kevs", and so on.

    • Late reply, but the UK is one of the more mentioned places in GTA V, most notably the host Cara from Non-Stop-Pop, the host for Kult FM and many British pop, rock, punk, alternative, electro, grime and dance music are present within these radio stations. There are many cars that are based from the UK, such as basing cars from the likes of Vauxhall, Ariel, Aston Martin, Land Rover/Range Rover, Jaguar, Mini, Bentley, McLaren and Ford of Europe, some of which have liveries that reference towards the UK, as well as a vertical lift jet fighter, the Hydra. There are also many appearances throughout the GTA universe that guest stars Phil Collins, Frankie Boyle and Ricky Gervais for example. There have been many British characters who've made their appearance, such as Trevor's mother, English Dave and Princess Georgina just to name a few. There is also a weapon present that has a British origin inscription, labelled "Made in Edinburgh." London is mentioned a few times throughout the series, such as Gay Tony mentioning he has clubs based there. These are just a few of what the UK is mentioned about in the entirety of the GTA series. We may be a small island, but we are very well infamous for many, many things. Above all else, Dan Houser, the co-producer of GTA needs no introduction. He was born in London and the first GTA was based in Scotland, too, where Rockstar had originally formed.

  • Patchwork is based on the Harlequin edition VW Golf that was offered in Europe. I believe only 26 were made. There was 4 different "versions" of the car that changed up where the colors were placed. When a customer ordered one, they could not choose which color variant they received. The different colors were the colors that the normal version of the car had available.

  • Fun fact : The multicolor livery (patchwork) is inspired from the VW Polo (VW Polo Harlequin to be more specific). It was a production model in the late 90's, came stock with those colorful body panels, but you didn't get to choose the colors.   • I love the fact that GTA have added a load of cars that you usually see in the uk but the speed and the engine sizes and how they drive are really unrealistic to real life like a Vauxhall corsa like the one in this video in real life would have a tiny 1.2l 3 cylinder engine that would do 0-60 in about 10-15 seconds and struggle to get past 75mph

  • I'm pretty disappointed with the initial vehicles out of this DLC. I like this, going to do a clean build and I also like the Retinue MK2. The Vagrant and Komoda would be nice for lower prices, but still pretty good, I'll still buy. Then the Rebla and Everon are just kind of meh, since there are so many other cool trucks and SUVs, will wait for a discount. Really liking the looks of the drip feed cars though. The Imorgon, Stryder, Sugoi, Sultan 2, the VSTR and especially the Zhaba. Yosemite 2 maybe, but I already have the Yosemite so the second version will have to be worth it. Glad they finally added another FWD car though.

  • 400 grand for a car based on one which you can pick up in real life for only a few hundred pounds. Still, the amount of customisation offered is pretty neat. Something quite interesting about the "Patchwork" livery is that it's based on the "Harlequin" VW Golfs and VW Polos from the 1990's. R* seems quite keen on adding little references here and there that most people won't spot, which I think is quite cool :)

  • That livery’s based off the Golf variant that Volkswagen made callled the harlequin. It had mismatched body works colours, so everyone they sold was unique

  • After i finish the heist I'll make a clean build on this corsa (proper irish build - bone stock, stanced and some nice rims + a wee bit tinted windows) here in Ireland we don't get stanced out rx-7s or riced out Camaros however we get stanced corsas and in most cases clean civics. So yea, Irish car culture is defo very interesting

    • The 3rd Saint never said it was boring. There are plenty of cars they could of added and somehow Rockstar have ended up adding a Corsa C. Not a any VXR variant, Monaro, or classic Voxhaul but a small car that chavs loved to use. Verg rare to see well tuned and modified Corsas. I wonder if Rockstar North had anything to do with it since thats a british company
